Yea...why is it the kids are perfect angels for their grandparents or so at least my parents always tell me and soon as they come, they are horrible?????

It's because their grandparents don't have the word "no" in their vocabulary when it comes to the boys. It drives me nuts! cheesy

Guess who is getting a fur-girl soon?? :hello:


Yup, ME!!! She's a rescue from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay so right now, my parents have her. She's 1 yr and 9 months old, Cairn Terrier (imagine: a white-haired version of 'Toto'), and her name is Missy.


My parents have her right now and the only "problem" is that they have to train her to do her business on the indoor "dog diaper/pad." Other than that she's got "the perfect disposition." She's friendly, affectionate, loves to jump on your lap, loves to cuddle.....I'm going to be in HEAVEN with my "daughter." :wiggy:

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be another hot one here with a high of 93 today. I got extremely busy yesterday and today looks like it's going to be more of the same. It all starts with taking my niece's to the movies here in a couple of minutes. Hopefully I can get caught up later this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar experience ... I used training wheels for a while and was leery of having Dad take them off. But at a friend's house, I decided to try her bicycle, and just got on and took off without a wobble. I had Dad take off my training wheels and was on that bike every day for years.

Hey LB!!!!!!! How are you? How was your 4th?!
So looking forward to Christmas In July!!!!! Are you going to check out Hallmark's open house? I plan to do that, and watch Hallmark's Christmas movie marathon too! And of course watch QVC Maybe check out HSN, too. The DVR will most likely be full, lol.
Tee Hee I have my DVR set up to record all day on Sat and Sun so I do not miss them... On that web site It's a Wonderful Movie (or something close to that name) I receive notifications and it looks like an awesome line up for the new season, how exciting!!!!

BC I didn't mean to laugh but I did, you see this past Sunday the hubby, Snickers, and I went out hubby and I did the Mountain Bikes Snickers runs and jogs along, well here I am zooming along, the wind in my face, the thrill of the ride... Oh what, Oh no, tooooooo fast, slow down, hit the breaks, and CRASH!!!! yup... I have a bruise on the side of my knee and a raspberry rash on my thigh and calf... But, I must say if asked knowing what I do I would still go right back and do it all again!!!! Sorry hope you are healed up now, and had a great time.

It is funny right the other day my friend got in my car and Micheal Buble's Christmas CD not the new one the Let It Snow short CD and she looked at me and just laughed and said only you, and I said well... no really not only me and just smiled as she laughed - What she doesn't know is I have all you too so I know it isn't just me



Isn't that always the way... If I could count the times a subcontractor has told me yes LB I will be there at 6 AM and I get here and they don't show up until 8 and are like oh sorry stuck in traffic or some other lame excuse... whatever... Sorry I feel you

Good morning MMC!!! Once again, it has been tooooo long since my last post. Everytime I see or hear something Christmas related I think of this crew & how much I miss posting here & how I need to get back in the swing!! Summer (as always) is flying! I can't believe it is July 11th. Wasn't it just June 1st, like last week??

I am looking so forward to Hallmark's Christmas In July movies...though I'm not sure how much I will get to watch! It just makes me happy knowing they are on!!! I hope to watch a few anyway! I have the schedule printed off - I'm ready!! I noticed Ben Franklin is starting to set out their Christmas/winter things. Also back to school stuff...booooo!

Good evening,

I had a very busy evening at work, my job was non-stop tonight. It is a warm muggy night, I hate these type of nights.

I don't understand the vitriol when it comes to early Christmas decorations, music. Some of us enjoy that while others like other things. Different strokes for different folks. I did see on the news customers being interviewed in a Target complaining that it is not fair that Back to School stuff is already being sold so closely to schools just closing for vacation a couple of weeks ago. I guess you can't make everyone happy.

Back to work in 8 hours.

I'm going to CVS on lunch hour to get a couple things off DD's school supply list with my ExtraCare bucks. I emptied & sorted her backpack this morning. We can reuse a lot of things from last year, but she'll need a few new things too. Just four weeks until she starts second grade!

Hard to believe it is nearly time for back to school !

Good morning, Christmas friends. Even with pain meds, I have quite a bit of pain; but I am going to take a nap soon!!! Also, I got to thinking about some of the comments others make about how stores start too early for Christmas (and other holidays). But do you hear them whining when bathing suits come out in January or February? Oh, no--we need to plan our vacation wardrobe. Well, excuse me--we need to plan for holiday dinners and parties!!! Just my rant for the day!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I just got back from the vet's office a bit ago. Mouse had to have her nails trimmed. I was so stressed out over having to take her down there that I didn't get much sleep last night. The sleep I did have was haunted by dreams of tornadoes. Ugh! I hate when I have those dreams! These had several tornadoes, different colors and sizes, but no noise. In one of them, the radio announcer said there was nothing on the radar, but if he had turned around and looked out the window, there was huge black one not too far away. I guess I have some serious issues hiding in my subconscious!

Any how, all is good with Mouse. The vet had her taken care of in about two minutes. She just ate and is now ready for a nap. I think I might take one, too. My head is pounding.
