"Where, oh where has our friend Binger gone?
Oh where, oh where can they be?"

Bing's last post was June 29 when they said they would be back in about 12 days. Should be most any time, now.

(It's just not the same here without my coffee foil!)

Binger said something about sampling Hawaiian coffee before B left ... so B will come back not only wired, but with a tan.

Careful, now, with those gender-specific words!

Careful, now, with those gender-specific words!

Edited to eliminate gender-specific pronouns ...
(even though, in English, "he" is the correct pronoun when gender is unknown or unspecified) cheesy

One of the barbershop Christmas albums that I have is featured on a "sharity" website. Only the MediaFire download link appears to work. It features two quartets and two choruses (same four-part harmony, but multiple guys singing each part). If you download it and listen to it, let me know what you think! These are everyday guys who sing for a hobby, not professionals, but these particular groups were highly ranked in SPEBSQSA competitions.)

I forgot to mention but I FINALLY saw Mr. Krueger's Christmas, starring Jimmy Stewart, last night. I decided to watch it here on MMC after I heard the new wonderful podcast and Jeff talked about it. It's only 30 minutes long and has a very moving story. I LOVED IT!!! I am sure most of you already seen it, if not, what are you waiting for!? :D

View it right here on MMC:
Mr. Krueger's Christmas

I highly recommend the podcast too. There is a discussion of Jimmy Stewart (along with other legends) and the making of this short movie:
Modern Legends of Christmas Podcast

Thanks for sharing. I will have to watch this, along with listening to the new podcast on my next day off, which will be next Monday I believe.

Thanks for the link! It doesn't sound like my hubby will be home too early tonight, so I will try to watch it. I'm excited! :)

I'd love to see that Rudolph recording! :rudolph:

Here it is! (Note that the Evans Quartet, who were the international champion barbershop quartet in 1960, has an old-fashioned, nasal tone, similar to the Buffalo Bills. That nasal tone fell out of favor starting in the mid-1960s.)

So last night, via webcam, I was able to "meet" Missy for the first time. OMG!! She's ADORABLE!!! Sooo sweet and friendly!!! She just wants to be loved and to give love. She even jumped onto my DAD'S lap!! And yes, he pet her too!!!

christmasstar~my folks live in Tampa but LOL!! They already have 2 dogs of their own + my dog so I think that's enough for now. ;-)

Listening to it now. I love it so far!

Excited to have new music added to my collection. =)

Well I some how ended up with my niece's 14 hours before I was supposed to have them. So I'm going to call it a night. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!

For those who wanted to see my dad in a quartet, here it is.

Bear in mind that they are out of practice and not professional singers ... just avid barbershoppers! My dad's on the far right, my uncle's on the far left.

Yes, some from the '60s and '70s that's fun. I want to get some of the more recent quarters and choruses--- the barbershop harmony of today is really impressive. Remind me tomorrow. When I'm at the Mac I can toss a song or two in my Dropbox and post a link. Love that harmony!

Sent from my Kindle Fire

That's awesome, I did see a few on YouTube.

Good evening, Christmas family !

One more night and the weekend will be here for me......I will be so glad.

I was SO DISAPPOINTED.......It seems that my company is planning on hiring more transcriptionists so I thought I saw an opportunity to ask about getting off afternoons and on days. I wrote an e-mail to the person in charge, being sure to be nice and polite and actually BEGGED to get off afternoons. I was hopeful cautiously .........Then the answer came. "We don't have radiology on day shift.." This is a LIE. Day shift is when the radiologists are dictating. This company must surely hate me for some reason. I did get a little bit of hopeful news because right after I got that e-mail, I called the company I am trying to get back with and the owner was encouraging. So we will see.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am so tired I don't know where I even am right now !! Take care, Christmas family !! I am SO EXCITED about Christmas in July this weekend on Hallmark !!!

(((HUGS))) To Ella, Harlowe, Snickers, Victor, Snowball, Penny, Pocket, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Daisy, Diva, Chico, Meca, Alvin, Gomez and siblings, Scooby, Sasha, Jacob, Cracker, LuLu, and all furkids everywhere including "my" polar bears xoxo

I thought this was so pretty AND it's Rudolph too !!!!

I hope everything works out for you.

Good evening everyone! We are on vacation this week at my mom's house in Portland, and we are having a great time,it was Jordan's first plane trip and he slept through most of it thank goodness. We are due to come home Sunday and I go back to work on Monday :( but I wanted to pop in and tell everyone hello and we are halfway through summer! yippee!

Nice to see you, enjoy your vacation.

I hope the Sahara Quartet is there next week ... I want to hear how they sound! Wonder if they know "The Sheik of Araby"?

I don't know if they will do that song but I know of a group that was sort of popular that did it. cheesy
