Monday hello ... catching up with bookkeeping, laundry, unpacking, housekeeping, etc. at home after the convention and before going back to work tomorrow. The 2014 convention will be in Hollywood, but we probably won't be able to make it---too far, too expensive, and too little vacation time available.

Hope all the QVC partyers are recovering!

It's official !!! I got into the other company I wanted !!!!!! I sent my present employer their resignation AGAIN.....Hopefully I have made the right choice !! This job has no set schedule ! As long as I deliver the required lines each week it is cool !! That means I type whenever I want to.............A little nervous and scared and praying that Mother Mary and especially her Son are close by right now..........

Hubby is outside grilling a turkey breast on the rotisserie. I have chemo today, so he is getting dinner ready early for us to have when we get back home. He marinated it overnight, so it smells divine! We will have mashed potatoes etc. Yesterday, I made two pound cakes--one chocolate and one that has almond, lemon, and vanilla flavoring. I cut them in half and kept half of each one. We are taking the other halves to chemo to share with the other patients.

Oops! I forgot to issue an invitation!! Dinner will be around 6 p.m. Pacific time! Who needs the Lear?

Pls save a seat for me---I want to congratulate you in person!

I forgot to add that Hubby bought fresh strawberries (and Cool Whip) to go with the pound cakes. He sliced the strawberries last night, so everything is just about ready!

I was so tired from the baking I did yesterday that I just could not participate in the wonderful dialog on Christmas in July; but I did read the posts!!!

And, somewhere along the way, I hit 50,000 posts. I have no idea how that happened!!!

Yes...bought the gramophone last night. Right before it was about to go off sale...thought about it all day, and finally gave in =] Did the 2 Easy Payments to make it easier on the credit card bill!



Which ones did you buy, for the kids who aren't locked in the basement?!



CM3, I like the rustic/lodge look the best, and I was looking for a flocked tree w/ pinecones & berries, etc. last season. I found some at Home Depot, they were Martha Stewart trees. They had a couple different sizes & versions of other flocked trees, as well. You may want to look there! The only thing that stinks is that they never go on sale.

This time me and my two girls (13 and 14 years old) are traveling to Copenhagen (Denmark)
Just a short flight away...
I take the computer with me, so I guess I'll be online tomorrow night from the hotel.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

My family is finally back home from campmeeting...yippee!

I had a busy weekend, cutting the grass and cleaning my truck. The truck was a mess, but I'm proud to drive it now. I forgot I had carpet in the floor!

Yesterday afternoon, my daughter and I spent the whole time in the pool...I'm still wrinkled.

I dozed off Saturday night watching QVC, and my son woke me up laughing at me for watching the QVC Christmas special. He won't think it's so funny when Christmas gets closer and he's worried about getting what he wants. :wink:

It's official !!! I got into the other company I wanted !!!!!!

[Holiday]

Good afternoon!!! We went on vacation & we are back & we had a great time & how does that time go so fast???? It is so hard to go back to work after several days off!!! But it was great. We went ziplining - what a blast! My hubby's uncle's place where we stayed is just beautiful. He has a home on 100 acres in southern Ohio... talk about getting away from it all!

At least I have Christmas in July at the lake to look forward too next weekend. Friday night is "Christmas Eve" - we are having snacks & watching the fireworks over the lake from the town festival. Saturday is Christmas complete with Christmas dinner - I am making a ham, my neighbor a turkey & everyone else is bringing all the fixings: pumpkin pie, dressing, sweet potato souffle, mashed potatoes, homemade noodles, + more & of course eggnog! After Christmas dinner is a white elephant gift exchange, then we are watching a Christmas movie on the big screen. We are talking about Christmas Vacation, Elf, or Christmas Story. Looking forward to it!!!
