Hello how is everybody?

I haven't been since last christmas, which was my first year here. I am truly sorry, but my year has been a very excited one and I hadn't time to look into this fine forum.

Maybe somebody still remembers me?

The last five month we were busy with moving and settling in the new place. And in July I went on holidays and traveled around The United States for about three weeks. I came back from my holidays last week and today is my first working day. The holiday were absolutely great and I will defenitely go there again.

Since the weather is awful here, I started getting "christmassy feelings"

Hello! So good to see you again and yes, I remember you! How is your new home? I am so glad to hear that you like the USA. It is a wonderful place for sure. Welcome back to MMC! We've missed you!

The new home is great! It is much more beautiful than the old one. It looks more modern and is in a much better state than our old place. Beside that, I bought new furniture and really love how my room looks now.

What I like the most about the USA is the nature. I don't mind the big cities but I am more of a country girl. The only two big cities that really thrilled me were Chicago and San Francisco. Other then that I liked Santa Barbara, Carmel and Monterey. I love the beach there. And I just love the Yellowstone National Park, I could spend weeks there. I actually bought two DVD about the Yellowstone NP and the Great Teton NP (which is also a great NP and looks more like my own country). The other place that was just absolutely great was the Bryce Canyon. I sure love the colour and structure of that canyon.

Thank you for your nice welcome back.

You're welcome! I'm glad everything is going well in your new home.

Sounds like you were all over the US. I've been only been up and down the East Coast from Pennsylvania to North Carolina. My husband has been all over the US. I would love to do that some day - rent a motorhome and just go across the country.

Yes I went from New York to San Francisco. It was a bus journey with 44 other people and we had a great time together. We were in Philadelphia, Washington, the Niagra Falls, Detroit, Chicago, Sioux City, Rapid City, Badland NP, Mount Rushmore, Cody, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Wiliams, Salt Lake City, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon (with a little trip to the monument valley by a small plane), Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Pismo Beach, Carmel Monterey, San Francisco. It was quite a journey, but I am young and could handle it well.

That sounds amazing! I will probably have to wait now to do something like that, until my kids are older - they are 3 and 1.

Good luck today, Cm3! You will do great!

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I couldn't get on MMC yesterday at all, so I'm pretty far behind on reading posts. I may have to just re-start from here, eh?

Today is my fist day back at work, and I am SWAMPED with stuff to do. I've spent the morning going through emails and arranging the projects in order of delivery dates. Now I've got to get cracking!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Have a great day at work, but just take it slow and easy. Don't over-do it!

Seawaters: I asked my mom and she said they always buy one of the Smithfield hams, with the glaze. I am not sure which one to be exact though (I don't think she knew either). Haha. They all look really good though. Sorry I can't be more of a help, but I know the Smithfield ones are very good.

Hubby is outside grilling a turkey breast on the rotisserie. I have chemo today, so he is getting dinner ready early for us to have when we get back home. He marinated it overnight, so it smells divine! We will have mashed potatoes etc. Yesterday, I made two pound cakes--one chocolate and one that has almond, lemon, and vanilla flavoring. I cut them in half and kept half of each one. We are taking the other halves to chemo to share with the other patients. This is supposedly the last time I will need chemo!!! Yay!!! I was so tired from the baking I did yesterday that I just could not participate in the wonderful dialog on Christmas in July; but I did read the posts!!!

And, somewhere along the way, I hit 50,000 posts. I have no idea how that happened!!!

Have a great day, y'all.

Sorry I am just now saying, congrats! What wonderful news! How have you been feeling? I hope this is soon going to be the light at the end of the tunnel. I wish I could have been there in person, to give you a big hug and say congrats!

Congrats on the 50,000 posts!

Welcome back Cetacea!!!! Your trip sounds amazing!!! You said your weather is awful - what are your temps there? Have a great day!

Brad - I hope your 1st day back to work is a smooth & easy day!!! Good luck!

It's lunch time for me....the fastes hour of the working day!!! :)

As most of you know, cake boss is one of my favorite shows.
Sad news on tonight's show as Buddy tells everyone that his mom has been diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. Lots of tears as they talk openly about Marys prognosis.

This family needs lots of prayers as they help their mom deal with this.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea. I love Cake Boss as well, but haven't got to watch it lately. How sad. They are such a wonderful family. God Bless them. Have you heard any updates? ALS can be such a horrible disease and can work fast on the body as well. Prayers for them.

Good morning, MMC!

Good Morning, Meceka!!

Good morning, snowflake! I hope your friend is okay and that things are safer in her area now! 90 for a low is miserable . . . I feel for you! Stay cool today!!! You asked in an earlier post what book I am reading - it is the third volume in the Fitzwilliam Darcy Gentleman trilogy, a book written from the point of view of Mr. Darcy, the romantic hero of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Have a most MERRY day, my friend! {{{HUGS}}} for you and Harlowe!

Thank you, Meceka! Yes, my friend is doing well, appreciate you asking! She said all the neighbors are talking about it, but nothing official from the police or media. Unfortunately, here things go away from the news pretty fast. Too much crime, I guess. Makes you wonder about how many actually get solved? Sad.
I will stay cool =] Right now, we have some cloud cover! Yay!
How's your weather?
Your book sounds really good! I loved that mini-series.
Hope you have a MERRY day, too! Hugs to you, Bo, Mouse, Palmer, and your other furry loves. xo

WOW! I finally got through all the posts. You all were chatty this weekend!

Snowflake - I hope your friend is able to sleep after the scary thing in her neighborhood. It sounds like you had a great day gone bad!! Scary! And 90º at 5am...wew, that's hot!!! It's supposed to get up to 84 today, but the morning was sure refreshing!! Tomorrow morning is supposed to be in the upper 50's too!!

Thanks for your concern, Holiday. She's doing well, and back to work today. And her hubby comes home tonight, thank God! =)

Made - have a great camping trip!!

I don't feel like working today...

Me, neither!

I do, as well! Nice to hear from you. Congrats on your new place!
Your travels sound lovely, glad you had such a nice time!!

The weather is nasty here, too. I'm dreaming of a White Christmas!!

Good Morning, MMC!!

Happy Monday~

Hope you all had a nice weekend!

I didn't sleep well last night, so I got up & watched "Mistletoe In Manhattan". I still have it on the DVR. Love that movie. But it's catching up w/ me, I am getting sleepy now...
Must get some caffeine!!

We put out my Mr. Christmas Gramophone last night, couldn't bear to put it away until Christmas. I love it! After dinner, I sat down w/ a glass of wine & just listened to it for over an hour.

Hope today is fabulous for you!

Hugs to you all, furkids too!!

xo
