My mom got the job!!! Thanks for all of the prayers and good thought's everyone. She starts tomorrow. It's going to be a big adjustment for her. It's been 15 years since she did any type of accounting work. I think she is happy about the 7 to 4 monday through friday though. The only bad thing is that I'm back to being the only one my sister can call to babysit during the week. I need to kick my job search into a higher gear.


On another note. I think we are coming home tomorrow evening now instead of thursday morning. It looks like some heavy storms may hit around mid day thursday and we want to be back indy before they arrive.

Now I'm off for a quick swim in the lake before it gets dark out.

Congrats to your mom! That is wonderful news! Give her a big hug from all of us.

Have a safe trip home. That is a smart idea to get back home before that weather starts! I'll be praying for safe travels!

Good afternoon, friends! What is new and exciting? Nothing here. Been up for a little while, just got caught up on today's posts.

Work called me a little while and asked if I would call for 7p to 11p. Someone called off for the 3-11 shift. I will only have to go in if they get busy. I then work my normal shift of 11p to 7:30a.

Ella had a vet appt. today, for her yearly exam. She went from 84 lbs to 78. I was so proud of her. We been feeding her a diet dog food for over the past 2 years or so and she has really responded to it. Good for Ella!

It's fixin' to rain for sure!

Reading Sugar's post above about Ella losing weight reminded me that I have lost some weight. 11 Pounds in the last week and half!

Maybe before long, I'll be back to my youthful, svelte figure! Ok, I'd have to go way back, but I was svelte once....really!

Its my mothers Birthday today. Yay!
So we are going over there this afternoon.

AND my daughter is coming home from Bulgaria.
I can't wait. I cried when her plane left and I will cry
when I see it come in for landing, I guess.
4 hours till she's here!! =]

But first Im taking my boys out for some gift shopping.

Hi All!

I'm back! Around this time, last week, I was in Grand Rapids, Michigan cheering on (or competing against) my fellow transplant recipients. I had a blast!! I won a bronze medal in the 1500m racewalk in my age group!!


Also in the news? I GOT A DOG!!! I got her last Friday!!! Her name is Missy, she's a Cairn Terrier/Mix, she turns 2 in October, and we're still trying to find our rhythm together. She's a cutie!!

IDK about that!...because I thought about sending it back after reading some reviews online. I still hadn't got it beginning of last week, and was thinking @ not even opening it. They don't even play the complete song..but my friend talked me into opening it, and I fell in love w/ it. Even w/ it not playing the whole song. It just leads into the next one pretty nicely. Still annoyed @ the song thing, because they didn't mention that part on QVC!! Nice, huh?! Conveniently left that out..they use some excuse @ the chip inside not being large enough for the whole song, but it's probably really a copyright thing. I truly wish it wasn't still awesome

That stinks about the songs, isn't that the whole reason people would want it.

Seawaters- How did the doctor's appointment go?

Well I'm off to sit around the campfire that we're not supposed to be having. The guy who runs the camp like's us though and since we are the only one's here, he just said to make sure that we don't burn the place down. Kind of like the swimming in the lake. We weren't supposed to do it without a lifeguard but once we told him that we were all eagle scouts and had life guarded at the boy scout camp before he said okay as long as we don't drown.

I have hit a snag. I love my new job, dicators are pretty good, love typing in the daytime. The only thing is that i am on full QA which means I am limited to 3 reports a day. I was hoping to be at least allowed to type 10 a day by the end of this week but it doesn't look like it. I don't understand it. I have reviewed my work after it was corrected and there is nothing major, just picky little things. Period in the wrong place, comma where there should not be one etc.

The thing is I can't go on typing just 3 reports a day or I will lose my shirt !! I have been so upset tonight. I am praying this gets resolved and SOON.

Anyway, I know somehow something will work out.

We had a busy day today, lots of running around, finally went to Sonic. Pretty good burgers there. Yard work is done, working in the Sun takes so much out of you.

Yes i can see where that is a bit of a disappointment . but things will work out its hopefully. hugs to your babies as well
