Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good morning, MMC! How are you all this morning? How are your families? I would ask if anything exciting is planned for your day, but I'm sure it consists of work and that is just never fun, lol!

I won't go into detail but I woke up extremely early for work and it turned out to be for nothing! Now I'm a little disappointed that I could have slept another hour or so. That hour makes a big difference to how tired I am this evening. Plus, it ruined my plans last night. I had some friends that were off from work today and that wanted to go out, and I had to go to bed very early so I couldn't join them.

I have been so very busy lately that I have not had much time to check up on posts. I tried my best to catch up on some of the recent posts this morning :]

I start back to college not this upcoming Monday, but the one after. It feels like I haven't had much of a summer since I just finished up with my summer class. I have been doing a lot of preparing for my schedule and I still have to switch a couple of classes. I am not looking forward to all of the work!

Well, there is not much for me to do up on the computer right now since I don't have any work. I might run and get the grocery shopping for the week done before Walmart becomes crowded like a zoo. Every single time I try to shop there lately, the lines are insane! There are over 20 checkout lines and I swear they only have 4-6 open.

I have a headache and my throat is so sore!

I have a meeting to attend to in a two hours
So I guess I just have to drag myself to the bathroom and fresh up.

Good afternoon, MMC friends! How are you all doing? I am doing pretty good. I am almost 100%. I went back to work last night and still didn't have all my energy back, but we were super busy, so I got it kicked to me fast. I got everything kicked into high gear and by this afternoon, I am feeling pretty good.

What's new? Nothing here. DH got called for overtime AGAIN tonight. I feel like we're not seeing much of each other right now, but I guess I should be thanking God, that we both have great jobs and are making good money.

Well, I am off to get caught up the posts I've missed in the past two days. Hope all is well with everyone! God Bless!

I am glad you are feeling better. I hope you get all your energy back real soon!

I know how you feel about your husband and overtime. Same with mine. The extra money is nice but it's nice when he can be home! We at least have every Saturday together, that is until I have to go to work on Saturday, which is next week.

Update: I figured out what was wrong with Missy. She was wanting some cuddles from her human mama (aka: me). As soon as I held her for a good couple of minutes (and put her down) she was MUCH calmer. So *that's* what it was! She was lonely!

Aww! Furry kids love their cuddles! Mine get plenty of it!

I wish that was my window right now!

Still a bit tired but not feeling quite as ill. Thanks for asking!

First back to school was exhausting. It was so hot I could hardly stand it. My group of kiddos is the most talkative group that I have had on the first day of school EVER!!! Guess it's time to bring out the chains or something! Maybe duct tape! All in all, it wasn't too bad a day.

Last night I was so tired after working in my classroom, that I was almost in tears at dinner. I finally had to break down and take a pain pill. So, today I decided I had to take one right after the kids left the classroom. Now I feel like I can enjoy our Chinese dinner out!!!

Now I am worried about you. Are you sure it's not too soon to return to work? Please take it easy! Praying for you!

hey y'all! today turned out to be pretty nice. me & my daughter had our hair done, very nice & relaxing. my niece, 12, came to visit her grandma for a few days & is sleeping over w/ my daughter tonight. she lives part time w/ her mom & the other w/ her dad & lives in a town about 30 miles away. really nice when we get to see her. she is so sweet!!!

Sounds like a very nice time!

I resist because I go to the beat of my own drum, I purposely avoid it because everyone tells me I should join it. I have had friends tell me they would "friend" me on it. Why do that when I am your friend in the real world? cheesy

The Wife and I both got Iphone 4'ses last night. I havent had a cell phone since I was 18 LOL. Its nice to be able to get in touch with her if I will be late for work. Not much new. Getting rain that we needed! Its also cooler here, reminding us that Autumn is on its way! Well back to work I go, have a great day all!

That's another reason we don't do Facebook. Mr. says our friends know where to find us by phone or email. (Or MMC!) I don't have anything against Facebook per se, it's just not for us. My only regret is that some off-board MMC activities go on there (e.g., the Greasy Skillet gathering on Saturday evenings) that I can join in.

Wednesday hello ... almost to the middle of the week ...

We're going to Fenway Park on Saturday afternoon to see a minor-league double-header. (The way this year has gone for the Red Sox, it may be a better show than a regular Sox game ...) Mr. won tickets to sit in the agency's luxury box. It's great---there are seats inside and outside with great first-base-line views of the ballpark, plus there's a sofa and a widescreen TV inside. Looking forward to a fun day if the weather is good!

I have concerns about how labyrinthine the security settings are, and the fact that they're not "set it and forget it" because Facebook periodically changes how they work without warning, potentially exposing parts of your profile until you catch up with the changes and re-tweak the numerous security settings. (That was true the last time I checked---maybe they've changed this?)

If the chat were on ChristmasChatter.com, it would be open to any registered MMC members ... cheesy ChristmasChatter is a greatly underused asset here at MMC. I've thoroughly enjoyed the chats that used to take place there, and I'd like to see more of them, but the rooms are usually empty.
