Day 3 of VBS!
105 kids attending at last count, noisy, hungry and having lots of fun!!

Got caught by a mystery shopper again last night at work. I got a 100% mark this time, and won $10.

Have to run again....I will try to get out to the Pines later.

Great job getting 100%!

Wednesday hello ... almost to the middle of the week ...

We're going to Fenway Park on Saturday afternoon to see a minor-league double-header. (The way this year has gone for the Red Sox, it may be a better show than a regular Sox game ...) Mr. won tickets to sit in the agency's luxury box. It's great---there are seats inside and outside with great first-base-line views of the ballpark, plus there's a sofa and a widescreen TV inside. Looking forward to a fun day if the weather is good!

Sounds good! I'll be there if I'm up that late.

Enjoy the games!

Thanks, but I just don't want to get into maintaining an account at all. I have concerns about how labyrinthine the security settings are, and the fact that they're not "set it and forget it" because Facebook periodically changes how they work without warning, potentially exposing parts of your profile until you catch up with the changes and re-tweak the numerous security settings. (That was true the last time I checked---maybe they've changed this?)

If the chat were on ChristmasChatter.com, it would be open to any registered MMC members ... cheesy ChristmasChatter is a greatly underused asset here at MMC. I've thoroughly enjoyed the chats that used to take place there, and I'd like to see more of them, but the rooms are usually empty.

I'd be more likely to maintain an account if I had family to keep up with, but my immediate family is all gone, and my aunts and uncle who are left don't use computers. It would be a great tool for keeping far-flung family members "in the loop."

I miss the Rudolph Day chats we use to have.

My granddaughter said she wants to watch, "Rosty the NoMan". I was looking for the DVD controllers and could not find them. Well, we just tossed out our old couch to the curb and it rained VERY HARD last night. I asked Wayne and my son if they checked under the couch cushions before tossing it. No, they did not. My son looked out there this morning and the controllers were there, a little wet but it still works!!! Good thing they were under the cushions!

Good morning,

Off to work in a few minutes.

Have a great Pines Day!!

Good Morning, xmas!! Hope you have a great Pines day, too!! =]

:sparkle:

GUess what? First day of school and I received a Schultüte!!! One of my students gave me a $15 gift card to Starbucks! How wonderful!

Oh, that was so sweet of your student! Congratulations!!!

First back to school was exhausting. It was so hot I could hardly stand it. My group of kiddos is the most talkative group that I have had on the first day of school EVER!!! Guess it's time to bring out the chains or something! Maybe duct tape! All in all, it wasn't too bad a day.

I'm glad it wasn't too bad of a day ~ I hope each day improves for you!!!

I forgot to tell you that it took me about 20 minutes to find a parking spcace today at school!!! I ended up parking in the grass way behind the school. It totally exhausted me to walk to my classroom! I knew then that a pain pill would be in my future after school!

That stinks! I hope you were able to park a lot closer today. I'm worried about you ~ I hope and pray that you aren't pushing yourself too hard and that the exhaustion you have goes away!!!

Good evening or morning,

Our little quick excursion was a great time, we came home early because of lack of sleep from the little ones, plus I work tomorrow and it would be easier to come home late tonight rather than early tomorrow. I should have probably went to bed earlier but I wanted to catch up here first.
The basement is still a little wet, but we were lucky compared to others in this town after that rain on Sunday, 12 streets were destroyed by that rain, we got 6 inches of rain in 3 hours Sunday morning. Someone in town ended up with 2 feet of mud in their basement, it has been unreal weather the last year plus for this town.

I want to be asleep soon we will be having some thunderstorms coming through soon.

Good night Christmas friends.

Two feet of mud in the basement would be horrible to deal with ~ I feel for your friends/neighbors that had that problem. So glad you didn't have to deal with the mud!

H e l l o !
Im not feeling so good.
And I have a little one with fever...
So I guess fever is next for me too...
I have a headache and my throat is so sore!

I have a meeting to attend to in a two hours
So I guess I just have to drag myself to the bathroom and fresh up.
Then it's straight back home after the meeting..

Hope you have a great day my friend! =]

Good morning, Solice ~ I hope you and your little one are better soon! Have a MERRY day, my friend!

Still a bit tired but not feeling quite as ill. Thanks for asking!

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better ~ I pray you continue to improve!

Work can be fun sometimes! I just try to make the best of it and when I do, I enjoy it! :D

You are so right, CAH, it is all in what you make of it ~ like you, I try to make the best of it and I do end up enjoying whatever I am working on!

The kids are here so I am off for another busy day! I am drinking some coffee right now and about to make us some breakfast. We might take the kids somewhere fun today, just not sure where we are going yet. I know they will say, "Chuck E. Cheese"!

I hope you all have a Merry Day!

I hope you have a MERRY day, too!

That's another reason we don't do Facebook. Mr. says our friends know where to find us by phone or email. (Or MMC!) I don't have anything against Facebook per se, it's just not for us. My only regret is that some off-board MMC activities go on there (e.g., the Greasy Skillet gathering on Saturday evenings) that I can join in.

What fun it would be if you would join in on the GS chats!

You can still listen to the Greasy Skillet without facebook but, of course, the chat takes place there. If you wanted to you could just make an account just for chat and make it clear to all who may send friend request that you are not planning on getting involved in facebook but on there for chat only.

I have said for quite awhile, that I like it here better. I like facebook for the few family members who live out of town and stay in touch with them on there.

I like FB for keeping in touch with family and friends, too, esp. my one sister. It is cheaper for her to message me rather than call.

Boooooo! I'll bring my own tea! Who's with me? I'll bring my hot pot and a box of assorted tea bags.

I'll have a glass of chai or peppermint, please!

We finally got a lot of rain last night!!!

Are you going to be available this coming Saturday night, approximately 8 - 10, to do a chat in Christmas Chat? If so, I will pop on there during GS. Lilnoelelf, RJD and I did simultaneous chats a few weeks ago ~ it was fun!

Good afternoon all

Good afternoon, irishsnow!

Happy Pinesday, MMC!

Busy day today!

I hope all of you are having a MERRY afternoon!!!

:???:

Good afternoon, everyone! I hope your work day is going by quickly! :]

My morning turned out to be a good one! My mom and I decided to stop for breakfast since we were up so early. It was delicious! The past couple of times we've gone to eat it hasn't been so great, so this was a nice turnaround. We ran a few errands so now that leaves me time to get some things done for school. I have been putting it off long enough! Procrastination is such a bad habit of mine.

I noticed that all of the fall/Halloween items are out everywhere around here - it makes me pretty excited! I saw a bunch of pretty fall decorations in Walmart.

Did I ever tell anyone that I have a wrapping paper addiction? Last year I think I bought 12 rolls in September as soon as they put it out. They had such cute designs like the Grinch, Frosty, and Rudolph. I know those sell out quickly so I always buy a ton in bulk. We still have SO much wrapping paper stored downstairs, but you know me....I'll keep on buying it anyway! :playing: I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds they'll put out this year!!

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!!! It is heating up here in central Indy with a high near 90 predicted for today. I just got home from the campground so I haven't had time to read through the posts but I wanted to stop by and say HI!!!! I'll be back a little later to get caught up. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Boooooo! I'll bring my own tea! Who's with me? I'll bring my hot pot and a box of assorted tea bags.
I'm with you, Merry!
(But not to worry. Carl's got a stash in the back, despite what Binger says.)

Remember,,,, ONLY coffee tonight at the Pines.... I stopped by late last night.. scrubbed out the pool and the hot tub... stocked the Keurig corner also.... Crown..I fixed your hammock....

YABBAAAAAAAAAAA
what ever did we do to deserve this!!!???

Boooooo! I'll bring my own tea! Who's with me? I'll bring my hot pot and a box of assorted tea bags.
