I miss the Rudolph Day chats we use to have.

It would be a great idea to have one next Rudolph Day---I'd join in if I'm free that evening. Anytime anyone's in the mood for a chat, log in at Christmas Chatter, post in the Countdown and the Chat Box to let folks know which room you're in, and wait for a little while to see if anyone joins in.

I'll have a glass of chai or peppermint, please!

Are you going to be available this coming Saturday night, approximately 8 - 10, to do a chat in Christmas Chat? If so, I will pop on there during GS. Lilnoelelf, RJD and I did simultaneous chats a few weeks ago ~ it was fun!

That sounds great! Mr. will be taking care of his dad that evening, so I'd enjoy some digital company! I didn't know about the simultaneous chats. I'll start checking Christmas Chatter on free Saturday evenings!

Last night I was so tired after working in my classroom, that I was almost in tears at dinner. I finally had to break down and take a pain pill. So, today I decided I had to take one right after the kids left the classroom. Now I feel like I can enjoy our Chinese dinner out!!!

You are so right, CAH, it is all in what you make of it ~ like you, I try to make the best of it and I do end up enjoying whatever I am working on!

Well, I admit I sometimes I stare at the clock and asking, "Is it closing time yet"?!?! Ha ha! All in all, I try to make the best of it!

Did I ever tell anyone that I have a wrapping paper addiction? Last year I think I bought 12 rolls in September as soon as they put it out. They had such cute designs like the Grinch, Frosty, and Rudolph. I know those sell out quickly so I always buy a ton in bulk. We still have SO much wrapping paper stored downstairs, but you know me....I'll keep on buying it anyway! I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds they'll put out this year!!

If you have lots of shelf space (I know---nobody has!) or a couple of little tables, you could wrap small boxes in different kinds of wrapping paper and put them on the shelf---they'd be a nice decoration, and a way to keep your favorite wrapping papers (you can put them away for future years).

Not a nutty idea, it's brilliant! I like the, wrapping boxes, idea the best. I never thought of it being "addicted to wrapping paper" until Jennifer mentioned it but I think I am! :lol: I always hated when I got to the end of a roll of paper that would happen to be my favorite. If I wrap up a small box for decoration, I could have it every year to enjoy! They could also become tree ornaments. I have seen wrapped boxes sold in stores to hang on trees, might as well make my own.

The vintage wrapping paper are my favorite. I remember seeing people sell them on Ebay. I haven't looked recently but might check it out.

These are great ideas, Merry! I have little pieces of paper I have saved over the years with the intention of making up a scrapbook ~ never thought of the boxes, though. My goodness ~ this is awesome!

I stopped eating "diet" food and started eating real food. I enjoy my chocolate and my Greek yogurt. I now eat with keeping in mind my stomach is only the size of my fist when empty and that is how much I eat at one sitting. I eat very slow paying attention to each bite and savoring it all. Started this on June 11 and have released 33lbs (do not loose it anymore as that implies I want to find it again).
Very simple way to eat, no weighing and measuring of anything.

Good afternoon/evening mmc
I really need a drink i think tonight and i just might do that
Its just been one of them days that nothing i did or said was right
And the weather is really bad over there. the rain is pouring down all day and the wind is really strong. it feels like a day in november but its very humit
Our town was really quiet today and i closed at 4pm. i hate the weather we are having its always raining.
My brother and sil(the one that left him ) are never of the phone to each other and the 2 kids dont like it as they think they are gonna get back together again and they will not be one bit pleased so am listening to each from all ends.. they both cant do a thing for them selves. they are on my case. on there daughters case do this do that..
Sometimes i just feel like getting in the car and staying away for the day.
Suppose am just feeling a bit down.am so stressed out i can feel my chest tight and my head spinning but tomorrows a new day..
So i have decided am gonna pour myself a drink. turn the phone of and watch a christmas film .

We had rain this morning & now a dreary day! I'm at work - making a list of what all needs to be done at home before tomorrow night - I am having friends over for a cookout to surprise my hubby for his 40th birthday. They will be over when he comes home from work. I have a lot of things to "sneak" around him!!!! :lol:

Good evening or morning,

Our little quick excursion was a great time, we came home early because of lack of sleep from the little ones, plus I work tomorrow and it would be easier to come home late tonight rather than early tomorrow. I should have probably went to bed earlier but I wanted to catch up here first.
The basement is still a little wet, but we were lucky compared to others in this town after that rain on Sunday, 12 streets were destroyed by that rain, we got 6 inches of rain in 3 hours Sunday morning. Someone in town ended up with 2 feet of mud in their basement, it has been unreal weather the last year plus for this town.

I want to be asleep soon we will be having some thunderstorms coming through soon.
