Looks like Santa has a very keen interest in your mug.8-)

Coffee in my Santa mug, Santa Clause 2 on the tv, my mini led Christmas tree plugged in, and a pine scented candle burning. It's going to be a good afternoon.

"Coffee is a SUPERIOR drink!"

Happy Anniversary! I wish the both of you, all the happiness together, that life has to offer.... 4 years, you know that technically that means that your still on your honeymoon!

My wife and I will celebrate our anniversary on 9/4; (20 years! I first met her when she was 15 and I was 22; when I saw her, It was like Bammm, the Love bug hit me like a brick!!!!) LOL....
November 20 will be 18 years for me and Nancy. You sound like me: Nancy is 5 years younger than me. When I met her, there was to much difference between 15 years old and 20 years old, but....BU-BAM! She didn't agree to go out with me for another 6 years.

It was worth the wait!

Hey.
Santa shows good taste!

I say go for it!! I sometimes do that w/ Brandy :)
Hope you feel 100% again soon!

I love Fred Claus & Chicago, too =]
Such a cute movie, and Chicago is an amazing city!
Enjoy your weekend, friend!

Thank you! =]

I am glad that your little one is feeling better, Solice! I am still praying for you. A good night's rest always does the trick!

Thank you! =]

Yesterday was Adrian's & my 4th wedding anniversary =]

My husband truly knows me very well. He bought me an It's A Wonderful Life matted photo, and had it signed by Karolyn Grimes. She addressed it to me, and quoted her line of "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings". Then he framed it. I thought that was such a sweet gesture, since it's one of my favorite movies. God love him.
Happy 4th anniversary to you both!
Oh, I just LOVE the gift your husband gave you! Wow! ♥

Glad to your little one is feeling better! Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Enjoy your weekend and the time with your hubby!

Thank you! =]

Honey and lemon juice in hot tea, or even hot water, can help your throat if you take it several times a day. Very soothing.
Thank you MerryCarey! I will try that! =]

I just have got home and comfy...it was 94 on the drive home with the humidity I'm sure we are talkin triple digit heat index...Anyway so glad it is the weekend...we have NOTHING planned this is the last week before the local high schools football games start...and I am sure Brad will tell you that in Georgia in the fall high school football rules!!! it may even come before church around here! Brandi works with the football team and the cheerleaders so this is our last "quiet" weekend until November(when the baby is due) and unless we go to state it could last until December!!! so needless to say we are pulling the shades locking the doors and hiding out in our house from the outside world!lol I hope ya'll alll have a great and safe weekend...I hope to be hanging out here more trhis weekned too...talk to you guys later!

You go, girl! Hope it helps, and that you wake up rested & feeling lots better! xo

Hey everyone! I had a great evening with the family and supper was delicious! I got a lot done around the house too!

EA will turn 3 on Sept. 16th and we ordered the supplies for her party the other day. The stuff came in the mail today, so I just got done doing the invitations for that.

Well...now it's time for nap! Talk to you all tomorrow! Hope you all have a awesome start your weekend! God Bless!

That's ironic, you and I sound like we are both from the same page....I met Lisa when she was 15 and we were friends for 5 years untill we started dating, (not to say that I didn't let my intentions known to her over those years) but, when we from being friends, to start dating, it was like "click",...

Take care. I think cognac will be just what you need!!! LOL

Oh, I love you guys! Thank you!!

The little one is all fine again! =]

Im not sure Im doing so much better....
My throat is still sore...Maybe worse than yesterday.
I was thinking I should try some Cognac this evening
At least, I will get some goodnight sleep...

A Chicago trip sounds divine, and so does the Waldorf Astoria. Loved your comment about the 40-year-old with jet lag!!!

So Good Afternoon!
Time 4:48 PM here in Norway.

Let the weekend begin!!

I was watching The Lake House and Fred Claus yesterday.
And both the movies is filmed in Chicago, and now I want to go back there.
Forget New York, San Francisco, or Boston.
I want to go back to Chicago!! Now!
What did this City do with me?

So I was cheking hotels late last night, and found a great deal at Waldorf Astoria! (wow)
But we can't plan anything just yet.
My MIL and FIL are 'our babysitters' for the little one.
And they have enough on their plates this year.
So we just have to wait and see...
OR we have to take the little one with us...
But a 4 year old with jetlag? Hm.. Don't think so...
I will have trouble enough with a 40 year old man with jet lag

So, it's going to be a lazy Friday evening here.
Im going to enjoy some Dallas Chicken wings in front of the tv.
And I have many Christmas movies to see.

The Man of this house is coming home around midnight.
Haven't seen him since Tuesday. And he have four days off.
It's going to be good! =]

HAPPY MERRY WEEKEND everybody! ♥

Those low temps and soup sound so good. We are still in the 100s here! Ugh!

Good morning, MMC! How are you all today? I am well, just getting some things done around the house today and trying to relax. DH is working and the kids are at daycare, so I am trying to get a lot done.

Anything new? Nothing here. I think I am going to through an Italian vegetable soup in the crockpot for dinner. With the temps cooling down, at least a little, it is putting me in the mood to make soup.

When we were at the store last night, I picked up stuff to make things for all kind of soups, breads, and chicken pot pie. I am getting in the mood for rustic fall food! I can't wait!

Well, off to read the boards! I have yesterday to get caught up on! Talk to you guys later!

Excellent idea about Brad's grass!!! The only thing is, if I remember correctly, I think Brad told us he is picky about how his grass is cut. I guess he could give lessons!

I will let you know about any good recipes.

That cinnamon hot chocolate sounds heavenly!

...
Hi, Brad! Nice to see you back!! :] I am glad you got the problem fixed with your IP address! I hate when computers / the internet / connections go wacky. I am also very happy to see that you are feeling better. Spending time with family is the best. I couldn't even imagine trying to mess with a mower - hopefully you get that resolved! The nice people in your town should come and cut the mayor's grass - it's the least they can do! ;]

I love me some Paula Deen! Let me know if you find anything good in there. I just bought the Pioneer Woman cookbook and it has some fantastic recipes that are perfect for the fall. I am trying some out this weekend!

I am a breakfast lover! I will make my Christmas-y cinnamon hot chocolate for all ]

Good luck with your scheduling. That is always such a pain!

So, as I mentioned, sorry for the long post! I wanted to make sure that I got to as much as I could! Now that I am all caught up, I feel much better. I hate being behind!

It's a little crummy outside right now. The temperature is only 66°F and it is pouring down rain. It's a little bit too cold for my liking. I just hate when the temperatures go from one extreme to the other. It was just in the 90s a few days ago and then we really dropped down. My sinuses aren't too happy with the change, either. I have been nothing but stuffed up for days now!

I am very happy that the fall is coming. Usually I love the summer - the temperatures and being off from school. This time around, I'm tired of all of the hot weather. It has been so hot and humid since March, practically. I am so ready for the temperatures to cool off a little bit, to light all of the fall candles that I bought, and to relax with the air conditioning off. Plus, of course that means Christmas is right around the corner. It is exciting to wait and see when the first decorations are put out in the stores. Another thing that I love is all of the cooking and the good food! I love making hearty dishes in the fall with my mom. It's always too hot to really turn the oven on in the summer, so now I can eat all of my favorites. I feel like my summer consisted of cook-outs, pizza, fast food, and going out to dinner.

I don't have much of anything planned for the rest of the day, so I think I am going to make myself a sandwich or something to eat for lunch, then get the mess sorted out with my classes. My college makes us wait until a week before the semester begins to schedule any online classes. This means over a thousand people trying to get through the phone line at once - ugh! I am getting prepared so I can hopefully get what I want this week. Then I can relax for my Friday and pop in a movie or two tonight.

Have a great day, everyone!

What a wonderful gift! You are so lucky, but I am sure you already know that!

Good Morning, MMC!

*Happy Friday...TGIF!*

Yesterday was Adrian's & my 4th wedding anniversary =]
Although we celebrated a bit last night, we are going to have dinner again this weekend to toast the occasion! Thank you to those of you that wished us well on FB!

How are you guys today? Any weekend plans?

Besides going out for dinner tomorrow evening, we'll probably grill out & watch some movies. It's still very hot here. I can't wait for Fall! Have I told you that?! It'll be so nice to open the house up again. Harlowe loves it, too. That way she can listen to all of the neighborhood dogs, watch people walking by, etc. Basically be involved in all the action!

I wish you all a lovely day & weekend!

I bet y'all will really enjoy the concert.

When I moved back to the small town where I live, it took a long time for me to get my teaching job. There were not many retirements, and teachers wanted to hold on to their jobs. I was on the sub list for three years before a position opened. The scary thing is, the position was funded, and the funds could run out. The following year, however, a teacher moved; and I got that job. I have been here since 1989. We do not have a lot of teacher "turnover" at all, especially in today's economy!

Good afternoon everyone!

The weekend is nearly upon us. Only a few more hours of work and then we can all celebrate the second last weekend of August... Sounds crazy, does't it?! We had a bit of rain here this morning. Otherwise, it should be a comfortable day. The forecast seems to be making way for a warmer temperatures, too. I'm not complaining. There is still a month left of summer!

Kim and I don't really have any plans for the weekend. Although I have to volunteer tomorrow morning at league playoffs. That should only be a few hours, however. A few of my friends also want to golf tomorrow afternoon. I really want to, but I don't know if I can afford it. We'll see how much it will be.... It's always nice to get on the course!

In other news, my dad and brother were in Green Bay last night to watch the Packers put on yet another embarrassing display of preseason football. The starters look decent, but the second-string players look absolutely terrible. Hopefully they turn it around before the season begins. Only two more preseason games and then they all start to really count!

Oh, I purchased Bruce Springsteen tickets today! Kim and I would have went anyway, but my mom is a massive Springsteen fan and wants to see him as much as possible, so she is flying from the Sault in October to attend the concert with us. It's going to be a fantastic show! It took me a few minutes to get in, but I was able to purchase three general admission tickets. We're going to try and get as close as possible to the Boss!!

Well, time to get back to "work." Seeing as it is my last shift, I am taking it a little easy, but things are getting done... I hope you've all been enjoying your Friday!

Uh, have you had any coffee lately???

I think I'm starting to show signs of ADD. I'm trying to get some work done on my computer but I can't concerate on it. I just keep bouncing around doing other things. I really need to get what I'm working on done though.

Christmas-A-Holic- Are you done at the doctor's yet? I need you to come up here and force me to work on this. Well that's as long as the doctor's didn't find anything majorly wrong with you.
