I'm not sure if my doc will allow me to listen. But with a name like The Greasy Skillet, it must heart heathy, right? Maybe RJD uses olive oil instead of lard?
Good Sunday afternoon, my Christmas friends!
I worked all day at Bernie's store yesterday. I tried to check-in, but something's up with the computer there. I'll have to check it out later.
It's really raining again here. Jacob was able to cut the front yard and back yard yesterday, but the pecan orchard (as I like to call it) is still too wet to cut. It has St. Augustine grass which is really thick, especially when wet.
I just had a turkey on wheat from Subway. Not to shabby!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
It was a great time. At least the parts I was there for. We'll have to plan another one soon.
I have missed a LOT of the Greasy Skillet and feel so guilty. I really do enjoy the patter and the music, and I love having the play list.
Nope. I think I need at least another 30 lbs to make enough sauce to last until next summer.
wonderful party this morning! The kids had fun singing all their songs for the parents. The petting zoo was a hit with lambs, ducks (who were not happy to be there!) rabbits, guinea pigs and funny looking chickens. The slide show of all the kids during the week was enjoyed by all with constant...hey that's me! shouts throughout.
One of my kids gave me a big box of brownies that were topped with Cookie dough and drizzled with chocolate. (so much for loosing 30 obs LOL) I got a card with the address of my one of my kids with the note "in case you ever want to knock on my door!" (love it!)
Now we are now about to leave to pick up my mom and head out to a family celebration BBQ

Crispy Cheddar Chicken; Boil, Smash, Season and Bake Potatoes; fresh corn on the cob; and one other undecided dish are on the menu for tonight. You can find the first two on my Pinterest page under Foods Worth Checking Out.
Good early afternoon! It's so beautiful and cool today with no humidity... a girl could get used to this! I had to drag myself out of the kitchen becaue this weather makes me just want to cook and bake!

Well I don't really have a recipe anymore but here's what I do.
I fill my crockpot full of diced tomato's. (about 15 cups)
Sautee a large onion and 2 bell pepper's and dump them in
Dice up 4 cloves of roasted garlic and put it in
Then I add around 3 tbps of italian seasoning, 1/4 cup of sugar, Salt and Pepper
Cook on high 6 hours and then let cool
Freeze in 3 cup servings.
Then when I use it, I add a little tomato paste to thicken it up.
Good Evening, MMC!!
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
It's been a nice & relaxing one for us. We went out for Mexican food last night, watched movies, went for a morning bike ride, and I did some online shopping. I bought a Halloween village piece that reminded me of my best friend, who got me into Fall, Halloween, and Christmas vintage decor. The piece has witches riding on their brooms, really cute & fun!
We just grilled some steaks, I had a Chicago rub on mine, and Adrian had a Montreal one. Very tasty. We also had some four cheese mashed potatoes, and green beans. I am stuffed..
Harlowe is going to play w/ the neighbor dog in a little bit, it's still pretty hot here, about 103 :-? Hope she realizes how much I love her! lol
Then, later on, we'll watch America's Funniest Home Videos. If someone had told us 10 years ago how much we'd enjoy watching that show together, I would have thought they were crazy!
*Thinking of you all, sending hugs & smiles*
Talk to you tomorrow!
Hmmm, how long until we hear the first complaints of "it's too soon." cheesy
