I copied Made's recipe and entitled it "Made's Tomato Sauce for Canning."

I wish I could find the recipe that my Mom use to use for canning when we were kids. Now that was some good stuff!!

This may be hard to believe, however he is coming to my house tomorrow at 10 am to start planning to do my backyard. He is doing a show about what happened to me. Last March 14th, I was hit by a minivan in front of my house. It left me paralysed for 2 months, and I spent 2.5 months in a rehab centre. I'm now walking with the use of ski poles. I actually hope to return to teaching in September.

So, starting tomorrow he will be filming for his new show called "Making it Right.". I'm very fortunate to be able to walk, and now he is so generously doing my backyard.

Just thought I would share, please don't think I'm bragging.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Back to the old school grind this morning. Everyone running around like crazy, looking for shoes, waiting on the bathroom, etc. I was getting used to my routine of takingmy time & watching Netflix while I ate breakfast and got dressed. No more of that!

It's still rainy around here, thank the Lord!

Had a great time at a county fair yesterday. Was a beautiful 68 degrees during the evening, so nice after this hot summer. After that and Cedar Point in May, I am ready for summer to be over. I do regret that we didnt make the side trip to the Christmas Story House while at Cedar Point though. Maybe one more big cookout for Labor Day, then seriously ready for Fall.....

Good morning, MMC! How are you all today? I am well, just getting some things done around the house today and trying to relax. DH is working and the kids are at daycare, so I am trying to get a lot done.

Anything new? Nothing here. I think I am going to through an Italian vegetable soup in the crockpot for dinner. With the temps cooling down, at least a little, it is putting me in the mood to make soup.

When we were at the store last night, I picked up stuff to make things for all kind of soups, breads, and chicken pot pie. I am getting in the mood for rustic fall food! I can't wait!

Well, off to read the boards! I have yesterday to get caught up on! Talk to you guys later!

I have been SO in the mood for making & eating soup & all the comforting crock pot/fall/winter meals! Saturday was the most gorgous day outside - we enjoyed every minute of it - but I could not wait for the sun to go down & for it to cool off outside so we could light a bonfire! I kept telling myself not to wish away this gorgeous day, but the bonfire was calling my name! :grin:

The news tells the stories but usually fail to tell how people are doing afterwards.
Great that you were chosen to have things fixed up again.

Things have settled a bit not much but am taking a stand back
She is now gonna stay in scotland and no something i dont think i care any more maybe it better she does as the rest can get on with there lifes
If she cared for the kids she wood come home. but guess she has her reasons
Have 2 pallets this morning so am up from half 6 as i was sleeping from 9
Had a nice weekend went out on saturday night with mates ,car boot sale yesterday.
right am away to check out post and get a cuppa

so glad to see you back again!
My heart goes out to this family, the mom must have found something really great to be willing to walk away from her kids like that. They are blessed to have you.

Good morning, MMC!

We are experiencing the weather we usually get in late September/early October ~ it is very cool and foggy out right now. And unusually quiet here. Bo, Palmer and Mouse are still sleeping ~ I can get a lot done before I start work today. Work is keeping me home ~ store stock and a few hours of data entry business with my other job. I'll be able to make a batch up of Made's tomato sauce, too. Since I have fur kids in the house, I will not leave a crock pot on while I am gone. I know it is supposed to be a safe thing to do, but with them in the house, I won't.

we have had it a tad cooler here too, but it is supposed to warm up again tomorrow.
It does make me think of fall!

I think I will make something in the crock pot too....first I have to see what I have in the fridge.

Good morning, MMC!

I was on the phone for 45 minutes attempting to schedule and it was a complete disaster. Apparently, half of the classes that I want are now "controlled" which means that people from different campuses are no longer allowed to take them. This is going to be a huge problem for me because now I'm going to have to take these classes, no matter the days of the week or the times, in the spring and next fall. As for the other classes I tried to get, everything was completely full. I just had no luck this morning, even though I was prepared with schedule numbers and everything.

Looks like I'll have a busy semester on campus.

It was so foggy out this morning that it almost looked like a whiteout from snow, I wish!

hopefully you can find something...how come the school makes you wait so long before you can apply for your classes? Here the students have everything lined up in January for September classes. (they can make some minor changes this time of the year if they need too) That really sucks, I hope you get it all worked out.

Good evening Christmas family


A pretty nice weekend, getting on the cool side at times which was fabulous !! It is starting to go down into the 50s on a regular basis here at night so I am hoping it will not be long until it is cooler in the day. September tends to be a bit warm but despite the forcast I am hoping that Fall is NORMAL this year.

I think I am going to finish Watching A Christmas Carol (1951 version, Alastair Sim, Patrick Macnee) because there is just nothing I find interesting on TV.

Still not used to being away from the other company I was with. I keep having a knee jerk reaction when I think of work tomorrow of anxiety because part of me still thinks I am going to be stuck typing til 9:00 p.m. What a terrible, terrible shift. And to not be flexible enough to offer any compromise, well I just don't know what to say.

Anyway, I am not there any longer. The first part of September is when I put my Halloween/Fall decorations out.....I have a ton of stuff I put on the mantle and a cool fiberoptic Jack O' Lantern and some other stuff I put on the entertainment center. I can't wait !! Christween (My combination of Christmas and Halloween) starts in 13 days !!!

I LOVE Pinterest. You just sign up. Then you can go to the different categories click on the category and find something you like. Then you click "Pin It" and it goes to your Pinterest page. Most of the recipes are "pictures" with the actual page of the recipe in the upper right corner of the picture. That leads you to the original recipe. So, you have all your recipes in one place. There are several categories. Go check it out! If I did not explain it very well, give a holler.

I forgot to add that in addition to finding recipes on lots of people's Pinterest pages, you can follow people and you will receive updates to their pages!

Walmart is starting to get into Christmas mode. I just saw an ad for their holiday layaway program on facebook!!!!

Yes I do and if I'm feeling lazy I'll take the immersion blender to the tomatoes instead of dicing them up.
