Anyone heard from CAH? I know she wasn't feeling well & the news is going on about the West Nile Virus in Texas. I've been thinking about her & hope she's okay.

I heard from her on Facebook and here also. She is really busy and still tired.....She is hoping to get back to catch up soon !!

It appears that none of their big christmas event's this year are actually going to be held on the 25th of the month.

Thank you all for the kind words for the parents of our friends.

I think I have decided to save all my change from this point on and use it to buy extra Christmas ornaments and lights next year, just as a way to get the few things I never get during the season.

I have been so addicted to those shows like Auction Kings, Storage Wars, they are just so addictive.

Long day at work again today, solo until 2pm again, only one empty suit came in and he was a really nice guy. Usually they don't talk to you but he did. Long day ahead tomorrow.

Until I can figure out/ understand the MMC radio/ shoutcast item I'm having, I can talk about something else...

I wasn't here yesterday because it was my daughters first day at college. We packed her up and spent the day with her yesterday getting her set up in a dorm. Everything was fine until it was time to say goodbye, mannn, when I huged and kissed her and started to walk away, it hit me hard, like someone took a knife and cut out my heart.... It took all my strength, to hold back my emotions, my feeling and my tears....

She's the baby, and this is the very first time she has ever been away from us/ home. My wife was a mess, and still is. No matter what, as a parent, It's soooo hard to face reality and to let goooo! After I left, later on, she sent me a text message , thanking me for everything and she said she loved me and missed me.... That about did me in....and, is still getting to me, even as I type this!

I do realize that you have to let go a bit, but wow, I'm struggling here...

I am so sorry you and your wife are sad.......Just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you both xo

My kids are 11 and 14, so I have a few years to go before I have to worry about it, but I can sure empathize with you. Some parents don't mind when their kids grow up and move on, taking pride it the kids' ability to take charge of their own lives.

That's not going to be me, I'm afraid. My wife and I are holding on tighter than we probably should, but I don't know how to be any different. I'll be right there with you.

Hello! It's been nearly a week since I have been on. I hope to have more time next week to spend time on the Countdown.

I have been watching a lot of Christmas movies and cartoons with the kids this week. It's been fun!

hubby won't be home from Canada till sunday & wouldn't be coming home then if he wasn't going w/ me on monday for my minor surgery.

Good evening, Christmas family !

Just waiting for Christmas in August to begin !!! I don't know how long I will be up as I have to be up again in the early morning but I can at least see a little of it !!

If everything will just work out with the taxes I think I have finally found a company that is where I belong. I have just been there two weeks but the stuff that I sent to QA today had no corrections !! The doctors are all pretty good dictators (except one of course !) and I can type whenever I want....NO SCHEDULE !!.....I am a little concerned about how slow it may get during Christmas and New Year but I will try to get an idea about that when I e-mail one of the other MTs. The thing I am most concerned about is the taxes...We are seeing our tax guy on Wednesday and I am hoping he will have news for me that will be good.....It would be a shame to leave somewhere I am so happy because I can't afford to work there due to taxes......Well, I guess we'll see......
