Going by the posts qvc was on again
Was up in the early hours and went to make a cuppa and looked out at the amazon parrots can could only see one of them and i could see a neigbours cat sitting near hand.. my heart was in my mouth. i went out and still only one and he wood not come out and i was in and out about 4 times talking to them to see if they were ok. i could have opened the door and looked in but i was so scared incase there was something wrong. but she was hanging on the inside cage. the cat must have scared them and they were scared to come out
Have you guys any plans for today or for the weekend for that matter??

Am not to bad today a few hours for the shop. am supposed to be going out tonight with mates. but i want to go to the car boot sale in the morning so am gonna have to be home kinda early ~{ which is not gonna happen.

I bought two sets of Magformers 34-piece Magnetic Square & Triangle Set /Green/Purple and two sets of BethlehemLights Battery Op. 17' Metallic Wire Light Strand /Gold. I bought the Magformers for my classroom to teach basic shapes and how to make even more intricate shapes just using squares and triangles. I think it will be fun!!!

Happy Milestone Day!!!!
Good morning, Christmas friends. Not much planned for today except to rest, rest, rest! Hubby has been vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning in general. It smells so clean and fresh in here! I just took two pain pills, so I will start resting now for a while. I need to finish up the agendas for the students' work for the next week of school, make the copies, and rest some more. Happy Milestone Day to all. Can't believe how close it is to Christmas. After reading the countdown, I noticed the start of the 2012 season is Tuesday 11/13. So I have decided that my outside lights will go up on Saturday the 17th and the tree goes up on Sunday the 18th. Looks like Thanksgiving is kinda earlier this year. Which will give us a few extra days of time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. That is GREAT!!!
Nothing exciting going on in NJ today. My daughters school is having a "Back to School Bonanza". Moon bounce, face painting, arts and crafts, and such. Sounds like lots of fun. Well I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Have a GREAT day everybody!!!

A quick stop-in for me. Thanks to everyone for the kinds words about returning to a previous job. It's going to feel wonderful getting back in there for a couple months of work!
Now, to the important part... Happy Milestone Saturday, everyone!! Only four months remain until the big day and (possibly) less than a month until the Christmas Blossoms thread makes its triumphant return to the forum! Wow. I cannot wait!
In regards to weather, it appears that a heatwave has hit us in Ottawa. We're sitting at about 31C (38c with humidex). That's about 100F! The fans are going crazy here. We're trying not to turn on the air conditioner. Let's see if it works! The forecast is calling for warm weather into Labour Day weekend... which I am totally hoping for as I will be back in the Sault next Saturday and then heading to the camp (cottage) for a couple nights. It would be nice to have some heat and humidity around the north shores of Lake Huron!
Well, I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend. It has arrived. Enjoy a nice Christmas movie tonight to celebration the 2/3 to Christmas Day Milestone, too!

hey y'all! i've been super busy today. we tidied up the house & then went outside & started. we cut the grass, weeded, trimmed, & all. it wasn't too hot today so it was tolerable outside, about 95.
hubby is in Buffalo now & will be home tomorrow around 12 or 1p.m.
gonna take daughter to my mamas now. i think she's gonna stay there tonight. i've gotta cook when i get back. we are having burgers. yum.
