Good afternoon, MMC!!

It has been a busy day!

I have been trying to put together notes & dictation for the work I do. My company doesn't plan to hire someone to replace me right away, and since no one is coming to me for training...I figure I best do something to prepare them! Since no one else really knows what I do, and I'm on a government job..lots of paperwork. I only have 12 days left here, now...bittersweet.

How are you guys? What's new?

I hope to see a lot of your Christmas decorations on the threads this year. I'll have to live vicariously through you all! We won't be able to decorate much, we plan to move right after the holidays. I can't wait to see snow, though!! Harlowe is going to flip! :smile:

Hi everyone! I'm new here and thought I'd jump in here and say hello! I hope no one minds that I didn't read all the pages of comments before posting...lol

Greetings friends! It's been awhile so I wanted to stop by and say hello. So nice to get caught up on all the excitement. I have had an amazingly busy summer. My son was here from Montreal for a few weeks in August. We had such a great visit. It gets harder and harder to seperate at the airport. Have a great rest of the week everyone.

I went to bed and opened a new book. Now, I am so "scared" that I cannot sleep. Hubby is out of town, and the book (Zoo by James Patterson) is downright creepy! Now I am wide awake, and I have a feeling it will be a while before I get sleepy again!!!

I hope you got some rest, Seawaters! Some of Stephen King's early works scared me, but that was only because life was eerily similar to some of the scenes from the books I was reading. I haven't read a really scary book in a long time. I'm going to have to read Zoo for the Fall read-a-thon I am going to be doing.

All Norway has been looking for a 16 year old girl that have been missing
for a month now. They found here yesterday - murdered.
It's terrible. Two men are arrested (age 37 and 64(!))
Poor girl.. Are not looking forward to hear what happened to her...

I'm here ... I've been flat-out with a virus since Sunday. It's a super-cold with headaches and fatigue and other TMI "delights." The symptoms are getting out of my system, but I'm still wobbly. They've got a temp covering for me at the office, and I'm planning to go back to work Friday.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is my son's birthday. How can he be 15 years old?!? It seems like it was yesterday. I wish he were still small enough for me to walk around with on my shoulders, but times change. I'm very proud of the young man he's growing to be, though. He's a good boy.

We're having hotwings and pizza tonight for him...his favorite! More turkey for me. :lol:

Good evening, Christmas family !

Have I ever said how much I LOVE my new company and job ?? Well, I do !!! I typed this morning for a bit then got ready for my doctor appointment, logged off and that was that !! No fuss, No muss, no protests and no being TIED to the computer all evening. Thank you God in heaven for helping me get this position !!

My doctor was quite alarmed at the appearance of my foot/toe. It was DOUBLE the size it should be normally when I first woke up today and very edematous (fluid, swelling) and erythematous (red). He ordered a foot xray plus a diflucan (an antiinflammatory) plus a steroid boost that I am to taper over the next few days. He also did more blood work.

He thought it looked like gout but since I do not eat meat it would be difficult for it to be that. Since I do have psoriasis he said it could definitely be psoriatic arthritis.....So I will let you know what the tests show and hopefully I will get better rest tonight with the new antiinflammatory med.

I hear it is supposed to be CHILLY this weekend - HOORAY !!!!!! Sounds like the first fire in the fireplace is on the way !!
