Christmas Countdown - 2012

If there are any "classic" Doctor Who fans out there, I have some news: I just stumbled across a website that says BBC AudioGo has booked Tom Baker to record an audiobook of "A Christmas Carol." I don't know when it's due to be released, but the recording was supposed to take place this summer. I'm looking forward to hearing what he does with it.

UPDATE: The scheduled release date is November 13, 2012. Amazon is accepting pre-orders.
 
almost 2 hours later my internet is back on again! Not sure what happened but TV and internet went off for awhile. The funny thing is I forget how attached I am to my electronics until it goes off!!
Missed the Rowen and Martin special, it started just as it all shut off and when it came on again it was over. :-o
 
I thought you guys would figure that one out!!!

Feeling better after a long talk with my aunt. It's a long story, but next spring we should finally be able to lay my dad's ashes to rest, and it's a relief to both of us. Things finally seem to be working out the way they should. Now I can relax some before going in to work tomorrow.

WHAT Rowan and Martin special?? Did I miss a Rowan and Martin special? We've been watching some old "Laugh-In" broadcasts lately ...
 
I will have to check out those magazines. Even though I live in California, we get Midwest Living at our local Wal-Mart!!!

...And for Fall! I just finished reading the Fall editions of Midwest Living & Country Sampler, and they really put me in the mood. Such pretty pictures & great articles about Autumn & Halloween events. Such an exciting time!

My friends & I are going to the annual Harvest Festival this weekend. There are so many beautiful things there, and yummy samples of homemade jams, cider, jerky, dips, soups, chocolates, etc.! Mmmm!
We always spend way too much money, but have lots of fun doing so!

That is awesome! I think you'd love it.

It's funny, when I left the midwest, I was just getting to the age where I truly appreciated everything that was around me- the people, scenery, events, community feel, etc. Then I went & moved away. I'm sure every town has things like we do back home, but not that much in Sin City!

Please, everyone who prays please, please, please pray for my uncle's dog. My uncle considers his two dogs his children. They just found out that his dog has cancer and he is only a few years old.

This is such a sad night - we truly need a miracle. He has been sick for a few weeks and they couldn't find out what was wrong. He won't eat unless someone feeds him and he won't even bark anymore.

Hi Merry !! ..Aww Thanks. It was quite awful. I am on two days of very high dose steroids then they taper. I should find out about the blood work and the x-ray tomorrow. You have been so sick ! Poor little thing. xo I hope you are feeling well xo
