Good Morning After, Friends.
(The morning after the Milestone day we had yesterday, that is.)

OK, Guys.
Hold on to your Santa hats, because there is just ONE MORE MILESTONE LEFT until the Season begins!
You heard that right. Only ONE more Milestone to go!
Of course, that's the 90 percent Home Stretch marker to the Season, it arrives October 7, and that's only 11 days away!
SINGLE DIGITS the day after tomorrow.
Just think - NINETY PERCENT of the way to the start of Christmas Season 2012!
(And you thought it was too early to begin your seasonal planning.)

Crisp, cool weather yesterday with low humidity.
I could get used to this.....In fact, I already have!
I show 58 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

Okay-Doekay!
Last 'Pines open house of September and the first open house of Fall.
Carl is ready with his theme of "Autumn Welcome".
Lots of fall leaf ornaments and a free cup of apple cider at the door to wash down that first complimentary fired twinkie, complete with orange and brown tone "autumn" icing.
Yum! Yum!
See you there.

You have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

Hey everyone! How are you? I am well, slowly feeling better. I went and saw the hospital nurse practioner Monday morning and she put me on a Z-pack. It's making me come out of this funk I've been in. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer.

Anyway, yesterday was a very busy day. The morning, after work didn't start out to great. I won't get into details. I just always count my blessings! The day got better and DH and took DS to the outlets and did some shopping. It felt very rushed, as it was past Pittsburgh, so it was about a 2 1/2 hour drive - we didn't get there until after 12:00 pm and we had to be back around 5:00 pm to be pick EA up at preschool. Oh well - at least we had fun and got some good bargains.

Last evening, I then took EA, just her and I, out to dinner and then we went to a local theatre to see a childs play. It was very cute and she loved it. She behaved very well too. At Christmastime, they are going to be having one about Santa's workshop, so DH and I are going to take her then too.

Today, I have to go into work and take my CPR class. It will last roughly 3 hours or so, then I can come home, get some things done, spend time with the kids and DH later on, and I have to go back to work tonight at 11. That wasn't the original plan, but I agreed to work because then I get time and half!

Well, off I go to read some of the Countdown. Life's been busy. I miss you guys. Praying for you all and hope all is well. Keeping smiling and God Bless. I've been thinking about all of you, your families, and your furbabies! Have a great day! cheesy

Ok, tell the truth. That witch on HSN scared you and you just hide in bed all day until it was gone.

I hope you are feeling better!!!!

Oh yeah. If there is one thing that I like more than coffee it's apple cider!!

I slept most of the day but when I was awake I watched HSN and that darn ol' witch did scare me! :witch:

I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better!!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to warm up here today with a high of 74 predicted and rain most of the day. I think my plan for today is to do some baking. I have all of these apples that I got the orchard and now I have to figure out what to do with them. I also need to run to the store and get some batteries. I've had my fall centerpiece from Bethlehem lights out for a couple of weeks now but I keep forgetting to get batteries for it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, MMC! How are you all today? Happy Hump Day & Happy Pines Day! Carl told me that he is in such a good mood because we're getting so close to the season, so pumpkin coffee for all tonight! And he told me he's working on a fried twinkie recipe filled with coffee cream? Hmmmm!

I am so bummed I will have to miss Home for the Holidays at 10 this morning on QVC. I will be in class taking a test, though, so I have no hope of catching any of it - boo!

It is a crummy day out! Cold, dreary, dark, and rainy. I don't mind the cooler temperatures so much, but I hate the days where I look outside and there is not one bit of sun. It looks like it should be about 7:30 PM out there!

I will talk to you all soon!! :]

I hope I will be here at home with my family.
Thomas is talking about inviting his parents (my in-laws)
But that got me nervous. It's like inviting Martha Stewart for the most important dinner of the year!
Who does that? ;]

(I'm laughing because you're so funny!!)
It's because you can handle it beautifully!! We've seen pictures of your food! xo

Hope you are feeling much better today Sugar!
Im thinking about you! =]
Enjoy your day off!!

Thank you Snowflake!
Have your sister arrived? Any planes?
Thinking about you! =]

Thanks, Solice!! She gets here this morning! Yay =)
We are going to have lunch and then come back home to get her settled.
Thanks for thinking of us!
Hope you are well!! So glad you're feeling better! xo

You make me smile!
Frost is here too! 0c this morning. That's 32F.
I guess it won't be long before the first snow is here!!

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

:???:

Good Morning, Everyone.

Ooooo! Milestone Day!
<< What Milestone, Crown? >>
Well, just check out the count:
Days to the Season: 49
Days to Christmas Day: 91

Hey! Hey! Hey!
Three-quarters there today!
(To Christmas Day, that is.)

The next marker?
Let's not go there yet. We aren't ready.

Coolish again this morning, where we stand at 52 degrees.
Should warm up nicely by this afternoon, however.

You have a Totally Terrific Tuesday, Friends.
Keep that Christmas light shining!

It is the one on the left that is real.
Here is a shot of some of the completed ones...

these are all made of sugar

So cool! Such amazing talent, CS!!

I didn't sleep very well last night. I was too angry at the embarrassment that happened on Monday Night Football. These replacement officials are an absolute joke and have to go. I will say no more.

Me, too =( Watched the game w/ my buddy who is a Seahawks fan, and he even couldn't believe it. Terrible...maybe Roger Goodell will finally make something happen?! We can only hope.

A Good Milestone Morning to you all!

Yes, as Crown mentioned, we are almost there. 3/4 to Christmas Day! With the 3/4 Christmas may not yet be "just around the corner" but all the Christmas launch festivities and especially the decorations should be making their way into our worlds very shortly! In two more weeks, I will be able to sought out store Christmas decorations throughout Ottawa. Then, for me, it will truly be "...beginning to look a lot like Christmas." From there, however, I will still have to wait just over a month until the Christmas Season, which will permit me to listen to Christmas music! I cannot wait. Speaking of which, I should search for some new Christmas music soon! I have 8 or 10 gbs on my Macbook, but there's always room for more!

The gym was OK yesterday. I'm still doing the same boring routine. I was hoping to switch it up a little next week, but my knee is a little sore. Maybe I shouldn't have practiced and played hockey on Sunday. The motivating part is that the last time I had a small setback, it felt even better after three days. I'm hoping for the same result either tomorrow or Thursday.

We're all caught up at work and my co-worker has returned from her three-week vacation. That means less work to do! Well, there are a few small things to work on, but I doubt we'll be behind at all for a while now.

Weather-wise, it's warmer today than yesterday. It was a comfortable 11c (52f) on my walk to work this morning. It's supposed to reach 20c today, but there is also some rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow. Oh well!

Well, I hope everyone enjoys their milestone Tuesday! The time has flown by all year. Now that we're inching closer to the Christmas Season, it will seem to fly by even faster!

Good morning, MMC! How is everyone doing this morning? How are your families? I have been praying for all of you and adding in extra prayers for anyone who asked for prayers! ♥

Happy Milestone Day! I can't believe that we are getting so close. Now is about the time of the year that I really enjoy waiting for Christmas, though. Throughout the summer I want to just get closer, but now it's fun to wait for November/December. Pretty soon we'll all be talking about what we are planning to cook/bake for Christmas, what gifts we're buying everyone, and maybe even about some snow! I am disappointed that I missed out on all of the fun with you guys last year but I am glad I'm here this time around!

I heard on all of the morning shows that supposedly a man with two children blogged and said that his oldest son is his favorite - um, yikes. That seems like a huge no no. Even if I had a favorite (which I am pretty positive that I wouldn't) you know the other kid is going to find out one day!

I ended up dropping a class that I had, so now I'm only down to four. Long story short - my online teacher was crazy and asked us to join an organization outside of class. I already had four other classes, his class, and my own job, so I dropped. I have no time for that! That would be a full school load, two jobs, and then leave me zero time for anything else.

I think I might do a little bit of online shopping for Christmas gifts while my mom is out and about today. Last year I cut it SO close with how late I was getting things shipped to my house! Our mall sadly has no good stores, so I'm forced to resort to online shopping. The closest mall with decent stores is 30-45 minutes away with traffic. It can be a pain to get there, especially depending on the weather. I'd rather online shop and choose whatever I want that way. Our mall gets rid of all of its stores for some reason, nothing seems to last. We got rid of Old Navy, Express, GAP, and plenty more.

Do you guys shop in person the most, or do you order online? I always feel like a weirdo for ordering my gifts online because sometimes part of the fun is shopping in person and seeing all of the decorations. I do some shopping in person, whatever I can at my own mall, but it's limited because of our store choices.

Time to get ready for class. Talk to you all soon!

I understand why you had to drop that class. Thinking of you. Hope you aren't as overwhelmed anymore.

Did you have any luck w/ your online shopping?

I do a bit of both- online for when I know what I want to buy, because I can usually find it cheaper somewhere like Amazon. And I go out & do some Christmas shopping when I have ideas, but need to see something first. Plus, you can't beat window shopping @ the holidays =]

Good morning all. It is a little warmer here today; 43 when I left for work and should warm up to low 70s.

Leann (wife) teaches a ladies Bible study on Tues nights so it is Ethan (son) and my night out. We go to dinner at a local restaurant and just spend some time together. Except for the tourist, we will know everyone in the restaurant. Ethan's drinks are always free since he plays a high school varsity sport, (baseball). We don't have cell phone service at our house so Ethan will, of course, text his girlfriend who is away at college and most everyone in the restaurant has to stop by and speak. It is a neat evening. Ethan and I get to have some father son time and we both look forward to it.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Hope you & Ethan had a nice dinner! Nothing can beat one on one time w/ your parents.

I can't wait to be close to mine again, so we can do things like that!

The C7's and bubble lights are a memory from my childhood, it such a great warm look with those lights on the tree.

Here is my tree from last year:
picture.php

Sorry the picture has a greenish tinge to it.

What a beautiful tree, xmas!! Love it!

Has anyone heard from Shellie and Meceka? I miss them!

I miss them, too. I've been in contact w/ Shellie, and she's just extremely busy, at the shop, etc.

I am still worried @ Meceka..hopefeuuly we hear from her soon.

We are back from the Gymnastics..
It didn't go well...
He really didn't want to be there.
But we tried!
Half hour with crying...

Well it's six o'clock in the evening here.
And I have to attend to a meeting at school.

So Im off!

I'm sorry to hear that, Solice =[
Hope the meeting at school went well. xo

Shellie's posted on facebook but I'm worried about Meceka. I mailed her a card yesterday letting her know that we missed her and that we are praying that everything is okay.

Praying that all is ok w/ her!

There are only three months until Christmas!

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rite Aid has some Christmas stuff up!!!

My camera phone is kind of crappy, sorry.

^^Awesome!^^

Good evening, Christmas family

I am so tired tonight but a good tired...not that exhaustion I used to get. I started back on my diet on Monday (Jenny Craig) and so far so good. I know this sounds stupid but My gut feeling says that all this problem with my foot (now BOTH feet) could be the result of how much fat and junk I have been consuming over the last several months. I mean my diet has not been balanced AT ALL !! So we shall see. I have 24 pounds to lose AGAIN........UGH. I hope I can do it.

I am doing one of the special posts this year (I think ??) and I don't mind telling you I am NERVOUS.. I have mine already written and I am just really scared that it is not quite good enough. But then nothing I do is EVER good enough to me.

I left a message for Meceka on her Facebook page. I really hope she is alright....

Wishbone has been breathing a little bit labored the last day or so and I am scared. I know I have had him longer than I imagined but I don't think there is ever enough time to be with them.....I hope he will be okay.

I am going to pop on A Christmas Carol on the DVR and watch it because it is really kind of chilly this evening and it won't be long until Christmas !!! I hope everyone is okay xo

Solice - I can't tell you how happy I am that you feel better. I have been so worried xo

Take care, Chiristmas family xo

Your special post will be amazing!!!!!!!!!! Because you are!!

I am keeping Wish in my thoughts & prayers. Please keep us posted.
Sending *hugs* to you, Wish, Clancy, Hermione, Smokey, and Lily. xo

Hi CAH !! Not sick again....!! Awww... I sure hope you are better xoxo

Good morning everyone!

Happy first official 'Pines Day of Fall! Carl has the 'Pines decorated beautifully. I don't know how the camel does it, but he has a knack for keeping us mesmerized! It's perfect. I must say, it feels great to be looking ahead at the next Milestone of 90% of the way to the Christmas Season. That homestretch is going to be special! And that's only in 11 Days? Wowzers!

Call it wishful thinking, but I'm wondering if there is a better way to celebrate 'Pines Day than the launch of the Christmas Blossoms thread?! I guess that we can only hope that "A Christmas To Remember" has officially opened its doors for the Season. No pressure, Crown. You know, I'm just real excited for this!

Yesterday was a fantastic 25th. Although I wasn't able to attend my practice, I had a good time hanging out with Kim and watching A Christmas Carol. A good celebration. Now, we are less than three months away from Christmas Day! In regards to today, I have no real plans. The usual gym time will follow work. Otherwise, I do not know.

The temperature was a comfortable 15c this morning. I was able to walk to work in a t-shirt. It felt real nice, but it appears that it could be the last time this year it happens. The forecast is calling for middle single digit temperatures (in the morning) for the rest of the week. Still, no complaints here.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Enjoy your 'Pines Day! After all, it is the first official one of the Fall and, also importantly, the final one of September! Where has this month gone?!

Wednesday hello! :hi:

I am watching the 1951 black and white version starring Alastair Sim as Scrooge.

Bragging rights: We have a 16mm print of that, and it's a beauty.

Thanks Star.....But I am the one person I just can't seem to find that faith for.....(((HUGS))) to you xoox

When you don't have faith in yourself, rely on our faith in you---there's plenty of that! ((hug))

Has anybody heard any more about all the "doom and gloom" that is supposed to happen in 2012 ? I know the major part of it is not supposed to happen until December, which I most emphatically do not believe, but I thought there were other things predicted for earlier in the year.

Poppycock. Bad things happen sometimes, and some bad things will probably happen between now and December, but NOT because of doomsday predictions. The whole "doomsday 2012" is apparently based on a misunderstanding of the ancient Mayan calendar system.
