I am getting so excited. I can hardly wait for it to snow. It has been so hot lately.

For some ppl the holiday starts november 1st.well for me it does because thats when they actually start playing christmas music on those music channels on the sounds of the season. As soon as halloween music is over. But idk if anybody remembers but they use to have a channel of all christmas music when they first came out with them.I think they should do that again.

for me it starts as soon as the eggnog shows up in the stores....which it has.

Fellow Michigander!

That is the second most beautoful thing in Michigan.. OMG... WOW.. yabba!!

I am originally from Michigan--Midland! And although I really love living in Nashville, oh how I miss a white Christmas! I've lived here for 16 years and I think we've had snow on Christmas, maybe, three times. Possibly a few more, my memory sucks! It has been so warm here this fall too. I love fall weather, but it has not been cooperating lately. I want cold weather and just a little snow--please!:snowball:

Well, just wanted to say hi to a fellow Michigander and Christmas fanatic!

morning everyone xxxxxxxx

That last one is amazing. Looks like something out of an old children's storybook, Cedar.

:)) I'm packing too!

Great, Auntie! We're all set:
Day 4 (Nov 9) = Binger.
Day 3 (Nov 10) = Crown.
Day 2 (Nov 11) = Jay.
Day 1 (Nov 12) = Auntie.
Nov 13 = The season arrives! (Wouldn't it be great if EVERYONE posted that day in a big Season-arrival fanfare?
How about it guys?)

24 days to the Season.
66 days to Christmas Day.

It's a wonderful, walkable 65 degrees outside.
We've just come off 2 days of rain to ease the drought a bit and now a great, low humidity, mid-to-upper 70's weekend is predicted. (I think we will go the the Fair again!)

Have a Stupendous Saturday in whatever you do today, friends!

(Was too busy yesterday to get out to Crabtree to snap some early Christmas decoration photos but will try to get out th ere some time this weekend)

Right back at you, Christmas soul-sister!

Just got back from the Mall and boy are my eyes sore. Yup - not an abundance, but Christmas items are popping up here and there enough to turn my head once or twice.

Not permitted to shop with my husband anymore. He can't handle how everything I see could be "the perfect gift" for someone on our list.

Tis the season to eat apples - yummy yum yum! Ontario apples are soooo good this time of year. I start eating them in September and they're good until mid-November and then it doesn't really matter where they come from.

I was twelve when I whipped up my first batch of homemade applesauce. I also remember the first carmel apples I made a few months later. They taste great just by themselves. My dad used to eat them with a salt shaker in hand and a steak knife to peel them and a slice of cheese on the side.

Do children still give apples to their teachers? I usually ate the apple before it made it to the desk.

Salt on an apple??? I don't know how good that would taste! Thats interesting!

Well, I'm a pre-k teacher and I never get an apple, but maybe thats because it's just a pre-k class. Hehe! :snowball:
