Good Pinesday morning everyone!
Carl has outdone himself with decorations! Wreaths, turkeys, leaves, pumpkins and more! On the big screen he has some Halloween movies playing too. Wow! Oh yes I had one heck of a weekend. Listen to this. Saturday we went down to Windsor. Sunday we drove to Kingsville for my nieces baptism. Well. The van started shaking and sounded like a jackhammer on the right hand side. We had to call in work for monday because we needed to get the van fixed before we went back to London. So I drove my Dads girlfriends car. On the way over to my sisters I ran over and parked on a bee nest. Yes. I did that. After coming out of my sisters house to go home there were a lot of bees around and on the car. I had to do a mad dash in the other door. Then the next day my brother in laws father fixed the van for FREE, yes free. I wanted to give him money but he said Carma. So I will send him a nice gift card. Both struts went and broke in a way he has never seen. Oh and Thursday I got rear ended, so he fixed that too. And when we came home our cat Boots had pooped on the bed. Nice topper to the weekend eh? haha. She is old and gets upset when we leave. But I better get back to work! lol. Dont worry, my week has been better! yay!

always nice to get free repairs!

hope things are better on the weekend...doing anything special for thanksgiving?

I love red. I have a pair of red high heel boots lol. They usually get took out on Christmas eve night to be wore with mrs clause

If nobody else claims this, I can fill-in. Although I cannot guarantee a countdown update by 7:30 am, but I hope that around 9 am could suffice!

You got it, my friend. And thanks.
(And 9:00 will be just fine!)

Good Morning, MMC!!

Happy Pines Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to a night hanging out w/ my Christmas friends =]

I'm dropping my sister off at the airport today. I always get a little sad. BUT...I will be living close to her again, soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are you guys today?

Sending lots of big hugs. Thinking of you all!

Blessings!

Hi SnowFlakehow exciting that you will be living closer to your sister, I know goodbyes are sad but you have much too look forward too!!!!

Happy 'Pines Day everyone!

Carl sure has this place decorated beautifully for the new month. No humps about it! Halloween has taken over, but, it can't last forever. Soon enough red and green will engulf the black and orange we're accustomed to at this time of year. But, I must say the orange and black always looks magnificent with the fall foliage.

The weather is decent in Ottawa. Temperatures are currently 17c (63f) and we could reach the mid 20s (70s) this afternoon. Not bad for October! The only downfall is that rain is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow, which of course will be followed by temperatures dipping into the lower 50s and even upper 40s as a high.

I may have done something I shouldn't have today. My team is heading to Boston this weekend for Regionals. I cannot attend as I am still recovering from my knee injury. I had hoped to be healed by this time, but it just isn't happening. Anyway, we were also invited for the Division II championships in Sarasota, Florida about a month ago. The tournament is about 15 minutes from the USA championships that will be happening at the same time (October 24-28th). Since I have played in a couple weeks, I feel that I owe it to my team to be ready for the next tournament. We will be missing a bunch of our players because they cannot make it down due to school/work/family, etc. But, I think it's necessary for me to go... even if I'm not financially stable. Plus, I've never been Florida! Anyway, I found a round trip flight for $330 Canadian and I'm all prepared to fly down in three weeks. It should be real exciting... a beach house, on the Gulf of Mexico... As long as there are no hurricanes, it should be beautiful! I just thought I should share that with you all.

Well, I should be getting back to work. There's a bit to do here and it's my mail day. I should get on this! Have a great Wednesday, everyone! We're sneaking up on that 40 day to the Christmas Season mark. It's so close!

Hey Brent I just adore FL, hope you have great weather!!! And Good Luck on you up coming tournament, we will root for you, and the 24th isn't that far off now!!!

it has been foggy all day here and still is.

I don't mind fog sometimes, it is kind of cool when you are watching scary movies at night, tee hee - but it does create a bit of a mess with my hair, as I straighten it and the humid dampness makes it frizzy...

It turned out that I was not really in the mood for IKEA
and I come home with fever.. (again)
I can't believe it!
And I have some back pain from "&%¤%....
So I've been laying here in my bed..

I have missed you too!!!
You are like Sunshine - always makes the day brighter! ♥

I'm so sorry, Solice! That really stinks..
Hope your fever breaks, and your back pain subsides, my friend.

You're the sweetest, you always make my day brighter too =) xo

Good Pines Day morning,

You all know where I am going and that I don't want to go there, so I won't talk about that. cheesy
Another rainy day here, just vegging out at the moment. Looking forward to this weekend, I actually have Saturday off. The wife and I are going to Six Flags Fright Fest Saturday Night, the kids will be with the in-laws so it is a date night.

Music Choice will be playing Christmas music in less than a month now, I cannot wait. They switch to Halloween music this upcoming Monday.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

your date night sounds like so much fun!!

it sounds like you 2 had a great time together.!! yes, you'll be back closer to her before you know it!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is going to be another hot one here in northern California. I think fall is out there somewhere!! Maybe it will soon make an appearance! Since I am off this week, I am trying to use my time wisely to get way, way, way ahead on lesson plans and copies. I have finished lesson plans through February 15 and plan to complete the daily agendas through that day. I only have six more weeks of agendas to do. Then I will go over tomy classroom and make the copies. I can't do any more because I don't have enough room to put the copies! So, soon I will be able to relax and enjoy Halloween, Thanksgiving, Chirstmas, and Valentine's Day without worrying about "working." Haha! Guess what I had for breakfast? A sandwich made from a homegrown tomato from the garden of a friend. It was heaven! TTYL

no one could ever say your not prepared. it's wonderful being organized & yes it leaves much more time for the things you enjoy. i'm sold on it....just gotta learn how to do it! lol

will you have to pay for the trip to Florida? i hope it gives you time to enjoy yourself!

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! Well, as nice and cool as the weather was yesterday, today we are up to 76 degrees, and it's so humid it feels like you're walking through water. There was such heavy fog in our area this morning that our patients were actually running late because they couldn't see to drive in it. It seems to have cleared off for now, and hopefully it will rain in a little while and then cool off again.

it was very foggy here this morning & yesterday also. the humidity is crazy. you said it best, walking through water.

Hi everyone, thanks for all of your well wishes! I am still feeling pretty crappy to be honest, but hopefully I start feeling better this weekend. I have a really awful cold that came out of nowhere. Usually I take Zinc at the first sign of my cold and they go away pretty quickly. I have been taking Zinc, vitamins, resting, staying hydrated, etc and I am just not feeling any better. I took some Nyquil last night and it did absolutely nothing for me. I guess there is nothing else that I can do but to ride it out!

I am getting more and more impatient for the holiday season. I cannot wait to start my shopping and getting into the spirit. I am ready to start watching movies, listening to constant carols, and seeing the decorations out and about. I find that I am typically always in a good mood November-December!

This week, I actually plan on writing up a Thanksgiving menu. My mom and I usually make a lot, so we need to do lots of planning for what we need to buy. It helps to start buying whatever we can when we have the chance so we don't have to shop for it all at once close to Thanksgiving and break bank. Shopping for Thanksgiving/Christmas food is expensive!

The good news is that I'm hungry - so I am going to go make myself some lunch and rest in front of the TV. Getting no sleep last night isn't helping me feel any less drained today!!

Have a good one!

jennifer i hope you feel better quick, fast, & in a hurry!!!

I have never been to Sarasota but I have been to the FL gulf coast (Destin on the panhandle and Tampa) and it's beautiful! You will have a great time!!!

Hello all!! It's been a pretty dreary day here but I have been trying to keep positive!

I had a huge coughing fit earlier, pretty much like every day since last Monday! They are horrible! We don't have any kind of cough suppressant in the house, but it also seems the problem is that nothing will come UP with my cough. So now I ask all of you...should I get something that will produce something coming up with the cough, or a suppressant? We are going grocery shopping tonight so any kind of advice would be very valuable! I can't keep this up much longer. =(

I also got a lot of tv off the DVR from the last few weeks that hubs (ah! I love saying that!) won't watch. I watched Fashion Police, Chopped, and Bridezillas. We still have Tosh.0, Project Runway (yes, he actually watches that with me!), and How the States Were Shaped to watch, plus a few specials I recorded on 9/11. Dunno if we'll get to that today but hopefully by the end of the week!

In addition, I have also worked on some thank you cards for my shower (ugh, I kinda got bad with the thank you notes...) and organizing some leftover stuff from the wedding. My cat Sangria still won't leave our ribbon wands alone...although watching her with them is super cute and she isn't technically *ruining* them, lol.

Tonight will consist of walking the dog with hubs since he just got off work about 2 minutes ago and going grocery shopping. I'm not sure if I'll watch the presidential debates tonight as I'm already pretty sure of who I'm going to vote for, so maybe we'll work on continuing to clear out the DVR. =) Hope everyone has a great time and I'll see y'all at the Pines! Perhaps I will wear my wedding dress to show it off a little! (They say you only wear it once - well NOT ME! lol)
