I check the countdown often, but have never actually registered and posted until today! I'm excited to join in the discussion. This weekend in Oklahoma the high temp is only about 50 or so, so its going to feel like winter! Had to listen to some Christmas songs on my way to work this morning.
While I sneak some Christmas music in earlier, the Season for me always starts with Halloween. I love taking my kids trick-or-treating and watching them have a good time. I love it too because the next morning, on Nov. 1, I switch the decorations, music, and other things over to Christmas! Anyone else start the season then?

Yes, I take down all the Halloween decor and up goes the Christmas decorations November 1st or during that first week.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I feel pretty useless, because all I can really do is be there when Mr. needs me; but he tells me that's doing plenty.

Good afternoon, MMC!

Wow ~ it was chilly out today. Perfect weather for pulling plants in the garden. It is going to get very cold tonight, so we pulled the tomato and pepper plants out. I now have over a bushel of green tomatoes, a full plastic grocery bag full of peppers, and two of zucchini. Plus I am very sore ~ it took over two hours and that was with two of us working. We left the zucchini plants as they are in a somewhat protected spot and might survive a frost ~ there are quite a few blossoms and little ones started, so hopefully it will work out.

Bo is happy and as far as I can tell, he isn't in any pain ~ at this point, that is all that matters. I really hope he has a long time to spend with us yet. Tomorrow I am going to get his new blanket out and make sure his bed is extra cushy. Right now he is sleeping on it so I can't change things around until he goes outside tomorrow.

I need to get the rest of supper going. I have steak and peppers in the crock pot and am going to make mashed potatoes and zucchini for side dishes. Maybe a few sliced tomatoes, too.

I am glad Bo is happy and no pain.

Looks like that cold air will be here tomorrow. I have the air conditioner on now but going to layer up tomorrow to get out in the cold.

Well it sounds like my aunt is wore out and now she is going to bring my niece's in to stay the night. So if you don't hear from me the rest of the day don't worry. I'll just be going crazy.

We are still in the 90's during the day, but should be highs of 70's by next week. We are ready for some cool, Fall weather!
We also switch out our Halloween decorations to [just] Fall/Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving dinner, if we're feeling adventurous, my husband & I will start putting up our Christmas Village. The following day, all Christmas goes up! Such an exciting time!!

Thank you, CM3! Although he tries, he cannot climb all the way up the porch steps any more. Someone has to be there to help him up. He was very scared the first time we helped him as he didn't know what we were doing, but now he trusts us. It is so sad to see him getting this way

Poor Bo. Glad he isn't in any pain. Praying for him & you, he sounds so sweet!

I think it is cool, too. Once I get his rough draft read, he is going to clean it up and try to get it published. Since I read so much he wants my opinion on it

Good Friday morning everyone!

Its going to be a cool in the 40's to 50's weekend. Thanksgiving weekend is here. I work on Monday but only for a half day so I can spend the rest with my Family. Oh the colors of the tree across the street. Ill post a picture when I get home. It looks soooo fally...fally...yes. We will go with fally. hah. Not much is new. Van is running like new now. Big thanks to my Brother in Laws Father. Its nice to know that there are still people out there that are not in it just for the money, but to help people that NEED it. Avon magazines have Christmas stuff in it. Hey. I can add some of those pictures to the blossoms thread too! Well back to work I go. Hope everyone has a great day!

I have an actual weekend off!!!! Wooohooo!!! Long day at work today, but I am off now. Busy day tomorrow, looking forward to our date night.

I actually made and posted my first video on Youtube last night. I did some editing of a song that was at the wrong speed, I tried to fix it and then made a video. It is nothing special but I am proud of my work. Here it is:

Happy Friday everyone. We should have a warm day today. It was 48 when I left for work and looking for a high in the low 70s. The forecast is for great fall weather with highs in mid 50s and lows in upper 30s for the next few days. I hope we get a frost.

Homecoming high school football tonight. School gets out at 1:00 with the homecoming parade at 4 and the game at 7:30. Big stuff for a small town.

A group from our church is going to Hiawassee, Ga on Saturday evening to see the Christian singing group Casing Crowns in concert. Should be a great time.

Friday morning hello! Still dragging some, but we're going into a three-day weekend, so I can stand it. Here in the U.S. Monday is Columbus Day, but seeing as how it'll be Thanksgiving in Canada, there's a good excuse to have a turkey dinner sometime during the weekend! As the LOLcats say, "Nom!"

Part of my "tired" is because Mr. hasn't been getting as much sleep as he should, from looking after his dad, and if he doesn't sleep well, neither do I. Wednesday the doctor told MIL that it could be a matter of days ... he's getting "clingy" and afraid to be left alone in a room. Although, when the doctor gave FIL about 3 months, that was 7 or 8 months ago. Mr. is "on duty" for a few hours each on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I'm hoping I can get him to relax some in between.

I'm hoping all of YOU get to relax some this weekend, too.

i'll be praying for mr., his father & all of you.

going out of town with mom and Kandice, to find her some warm boots for Winter....the cold hasn´t started yet, but I want to be prepared and not have her wear superthick Snowboots for regular 38 degrees fahrenheit temperatures....dont want them cute lil feet to start to sweat and stink

hey y'all! been a nice day. hubby let me sleep in & he got up w/ daughter & took her to school for me. i slept til after 9a.m. so glad he's home!

y'all remember me telling you my b-i-l & sister had come up for a funeral right? well they were gonna go back home today but my b-i-l's Mom is dying. they went to the visitation for the funeral last night & got a call while there about his Mother not doing good & to come straight to the hospital. she has Alzheimers & had gotten pneumonia. the doctors have told the family she is too weak to fight it. she will be 90 next month. the doctors & the family have decided to take the IV's out tonight.

gosh it seems like the last while every time i'm on here i have bad news. i'm sorry guys just gotta lot going on around me right now.
