Good Evening!
We didn't come home till late yesterday.
But had a very interesting meeting though.

I took the kids to the sea/beach today.
Beautiful! Bonfire, hot drinks and grilled "dough"
(I don't know what you call this.. LOL) and marshmallows.

But this is a photo from the woods yesterday.
Lovely, yes? (picture is from my blog)

I did not hear that. I heard that there was some mixed snow/rain in the Sault last night. I'm not surprised considering the temperatures, however.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm improving and excited.

That is a beautiful photo. It reminds me of a path that I walked through going to elementary and high school every day in northern Ontario!

We just discovered that one last year. Victor Moore used to play Santa Claus for the vaudevillians' annual Christmas in July party.

Yep, that's William Frawley---also in the original "Miracle on 34th Street" as the political hack who advises the judge not to rule there's no Santa Claus.

Bo feels your love cheesy Estate sales are fun, esp. if I don't think about finding something for the store ~ which is the main reason I go in the first place so it is kind of hard not to think about it. I must admit that part of the fun of estate sales is being able to see inside the houses ~ I would love to have been able to buy the first house I was in yesterday ~ it was gorgeous and much bigger than it appeared from the sidewalk. The second house needed a lot of work done, but the shapes of the rooms were unique and the ceilings upstairs were really cool. It was an older home, but it was in an area with shops not to far away. Found the best stuff there, too!

yip i wood love that to love old houses and wood wonder what kinda ppl lived in them . are estate sales , sales of things when some one dies and the family or someone sells it liike a house auction

My absolute favorite scene in the Lemon Drop Kid. Silver Bells was introduced in this movie and they sing it so well. I would give anything to walk through the decorated streets with them as shown in the video!

This movie is one of my dad's favorite movies and I think of him every time I watch it. He knows how much I love it and bought me the DVD years ago.

UGH!!! I was typing up a Mega-Multi post and our internet went down!!! I lost it all!!! Oh no!!!

Well, I must go go because I wanted to reply to some of the posts for sure!

Anyway hope everyone is doing well. I made the best pork chops last night broiled with slices of red pears, celery, and some salt & pepper, they were out of this world also made some pan seared asparagus. YUMMY!!!!

Seawaters, I posted the cream cheese snowballs recipe in that thread, I will do the pumpkin squares for you & your SIL next.

Sometimes it is when the family sells off the belongings of someone who has passed away and sometimes it is something called a living estate sale where the people are moving and need to eliminate a lot of the items they accumulated over the years. Shellie, you and I would have so much fun going to sales here!

Bummer you lost all the multi post you were working on. That cookie recipe sounds so good ~ I'm going to make them one of these days. Thank you for posting it, LB!
