'Pringles'? Is this 'Pringles'? Oh wow, how great this is! ^^ And I agree with christmasjingles, I haven't also expected 'Pringles' would look something like this ever.

These plates are very nice. They would definitely look good on Christmas table.

These plates are very nice. They would definitely look good on Christmas table.

They would look wonderful on any Christmas table. I just wish that my camera would have taken a brighter picture!

I made a wonderful discovery today. Hartman's (Independent Grocer), which is a block away from my apartment has done away with their Halloween decorations and are preparing for Christmas. Being so close, I was in the yesterday afternoon and looked at their "seasonal" section, which appeared to have been moved around a little. Items were missing. I thought "could they be preparing for Christmas?!" ...and they are!! Here are two photos from Hartman's today. I will take more soon. And then another from the Royal Oak, which is a local bar franchise throughout Ottawa.

I think I need to clean the lens on my blackberry. That may help brighten some photos. Christmas is blossoming in Ottawa. I can't wait to return to the Rideau Centre on Saturday!

Christmas decorations are going up at Crabtree!!


1) Forest of small trees ready for harvesting and replanting!

2) Workers preparing some of the larger trees for installation in Santa's village.

(Note the 40th anniversary signs. Crabtree was opened in 1972. I watched it being built!)

If these decorations seem familiar, it's because Crabtree has used the same decorations in the same places as long as I have been taking photos there (since 2005).
They are a good set. Not sure I would want them to change. Would worry that what replaced them might not be as good!

Yes, I always hope each year to catch them in mid-stream -- after the ornaments are in the mall but before they are all installed.
When the "blossoms" are still "buds", so to speak!

Yes. I, too, love seeing the "buds" begin to form as well. It truly is a thrill to experience. Although we are still just under four weeks away from the beginning of the Season, it is great to experience a little bit of its magic beforehand. And, what better magic to be experienced than your tradition at Crabtree?!
