Hello everyone!

I can't believe that another week has almost passed. I have finished my lectures this week and it means no alarm clock in the mornings next 3 days! :> I hope everybody is doing well. :] I attended study abroad session today at the campus which was great. I found out a lot of useful information, got many leaflets to read and a university website, which recently has been updated with latest information, to check. ^^ Also, I submited my first university assignment today! ^^ It was 5 days before the deadline but I finished it earlier. I'm worried about it already because I haven't done a scientific report before. Also, the way in which assessments have to be done here, in Scotland, completely differs from ones which are usually done at universities of my home country so I'm still not used to the English educational system. Uff, it's tough. ^^ I'm going to spend my weekend on essay of another subject. The deadline is on Tuesday so I should definitely get started tomorrow. :/ I suppose my messages are always boring to read because I mostly speak about university stuff. ^^ But actully there aren't so many entertaining things going on in foreign student's life whose comittment to studies comes first. :] Wish you all have a good day!

OMG!!! I haven't even caught up but I had to tell you all what happened last night... Hubby & I flipping channels waiting for the Yankee / Tiger game (that was ultimately canceled) but anyway at 8:00 PM my door bell rings, I live in a condo that is gated so we figured it was just one of our neighbors, I go to the door and nobody is there!!! BUT!!!! Wait for it........ A plastic bowl filled with candy and little nicknacks with a note stating You've Been Booed!!!! The note reads....

You've Been Boo-ed!

The phantom ghost has come to town
To leave some goodies... I see you've found.
If you wish to make this a happier fall...
Continue this greeting, this phantom call.

First, post this Phantom where it can be seen,
And leave it there until Halloween.
This will scare other Phantoms who may visit.

The treatments themselves aren't too bad. I have to hold my position for about 20 minutes, so that, of course, is when my nose or eyes itch!!! I am tired a lot, but I keep plugging along! The lymphedema will be a problem, but I will go to the clinic as soon as treatments are over. I should finish up the last Friday of November. Doesn't that sound like fun: driving 140 miles round trip five days a week for (now) six more weeks? Oh, well, lots of conversation with Hubby!

gonna look up more on the lymphedema. i like to know what's going on w/ you. that's a good way to look @ the trips....quiet time w/ hubby!

MerryMistletoe, I, too, would get that message about the wrong size and couldn't figure out how to do it. If I could get past that part, I think I could get some pics on here!

Good morning MMC! I am trying to read through the posts from yesterday but I keep getting interupted! Lol! I wanted to say good morning before it's afternoon! Ha ha!

Here are some pics of the afghan I made for my SIL! I hope she likes it! I named it the "In Memory of Mike Afghan" It ended up being 50" x 75"

The blue is for September, my brothers birthstone
The green is for August, my SIL's birthstone
The rust & gold are for November - their Anniversary &
The red is for love:

i love the colors of this afghan, it's beautiful. be sure to take tissue w/ you when you give it to her!!!!! so precious!

i am furious!!!!! why is it when you try to do something for someone they look to far into it & think you have other motives or are trying to point out their flaws????? do what?!! this happens w/ boss alot. on the phone trying to help her w/ something she forgot & she thinks i'm trying to point out her screw up! no, i'm not the 1 that does this....she is! she can because she's boss. do i look stupid??? don't answer that! i, in no way, shape, or form was trying to be ugly about it, i just wanted to make sure it was done. anyhoo....


let me tell y'all this, do y'all remember me telling ya' boss had bought BLACK, red, & white for our BIG tree this year? well we put it up today & OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let's just say it's bad. i would have given anything (almost) to take a pic & be able to show y'all. she said it was all over the place @ the shows & markets this year. i don't care, it's horrible. maybe that's why it was all over the place...NOBODY wanted it!!! we always have really nice trees & decor in the shop. some of the other ladies even said they think it's the ugliest thing we've ever had. i'm not saying this cause i'm upset w/ her. we decided this before i ever spoke to her on the phone.

i'm gonna go cook some supper now. i just had to vent, sorry!:x:x:x

I am going to be behind for the next 6 1/2 weeks because of radiation, but I will try to get caught upon the weekends. We get back so late, and then it is time for dinner and chores. I will try to check in in the mornings as many times as I can. We were able to get into the doctor's early (4:50 p.m.), but we stopped for dinner on our way home to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. I think of y'all often. TTYL

If you save your photo's to photobucket, you just copy and paste the IMG code into your post and it won't matter how big the picture is. It also lets you adjust the size of the picture if you want to make it smaller.

i've done that. see here's the thing: i don't even know how to hook my camera up to the computer much less what to do from there. i told you my kids get so impatient w/ me. i have no idea where the IMG code is or what it is. totally clueless made. undrtakr hooked me up w/ photobucket but.....

PS - Officially two weeks from now I will begin crankin' out the Christmas carols and I won't be ashamed of it!!!! I hope my neighbors are ready!!!!

Good evening, everyone! Hope you're day was well! Mine was great - I love days off. DH and I are soon going to go wrap some gifts and then watch the Grey's episode from tonight I am currently DVRing. We are making a pizza right now - we ate a late lunch/early dinner and we're hungry again.

We went to Hallmark tonight and I bought ornaments for the kids, plus got the family ornament and I also got the one for our exchange. I got the perfect one for my partner. I know she will love it! I also got the 2nd book in the series, Jingle Pup, that was featured last year on Hallmark, for the kids. I loved that special.

Tomorrow, we're taking the kids to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. DH parents are going too. EA is so excited. We've never had the kids there, so I am very excited for them as well.

Well, I am off to get caught up on some of the posts and do some other things. Talk to you all tomorrow. God Bless and keep smiling! :-D

I don't know the movie but we tried to play the Pingu christmas story. I guess the Pingu series didn't run outside German speaking part of europe. Pingu is a children series around a penguin named Pingu and his family and friends. The whole series was made of Plasticine and was filmed like a cartoon. Pingu is still very famous around here.

That show use to be on Sprout! Here in the States. When my oldest was a toddler, he loved it but it drove me nuts! cheesy
