I already did a little cooking for Thanksgiving. I made sweet potato casserole last night and put it in the freezer. It just wears me down trying to do all the cooking in one day so planning on cooking a little at a time. My family does not expect me to do all the cooking but I enjoy it!!!

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!!

What a great idea, somethings always taste better too after it has sat for a while. Now you have me inspired to make some of my freezer friendly items. I also feel the same way my family doesn't expect me to do all the cooking but I really enjoy doing it.

Good morning, Christmas Family !!!!!

I can't tell you all what a difference that medication has made !! I have tiny little aches and pains now but for the most part I can do everything I want to w/o too much bother. What a miracle !!

I seem to have clicked on Merry Christmas Radio somehow and I am listening to Frank Sinatra singlng White Christmas - Beautiful !! Although I didn't mean to click on it, I am glad I did !! Not much planned today. As I said yesterday, I am taking the day off. It is so nice to be able to be FREE when I want to. I will work some tomorrow and Sunday but if I did not want to, I would not have to.

I am planning on us working on doing our garlands today and also checking the lawn decorations to see what works and what doesn't. I hope everyone has a Christmassy day !!! xoxo

CM3 I am so happy to read this, when you feel better like you are it just makes the whole world a better place. I just love knowing you are feeling better. Enjoy your day off I hope all your lawn decor is in perfect working order!!

A quick hello from northern California. It is supposed to get cooler, especially next week; so I am looking forward to it! One more day of radiation this week. The technician knows we tried a new homemade barbecue sauce for ribs two weeks ago and raved to us about Jack's Stacks in Kansas City. She brought us a bottle of their Spicy Sauce yesterday!!! How sweet! They also gave me a "Think Pink" bag with some cute pink goodies inside. They also had some of the best mini cupcakes I've ever had! Not a bad day after all! Please know that I WILL get caught up because I WANT to! It will just take time. I think of y'all so much. In fact, I dreamed of CM3 (and her David) last night! I wonder what that means? Take care and TTYL. Welcome to all the new members and the returning members.

How nice of her to give you that goodie bag! I wonder what that means too. And take all the time you need to read up on the posts. Now in your other post you stated you will go to the lodge for Thanksgiving and they are doing a pit turkey? Did I read that right, like in the roast the turkey like when you roast a pig?

Good Morning, friends!!

Happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are your weekend plans??

I'm hosting scary movie night @ my house w/ my friend Patty, it's a tradition we do every year around Halloween. Adrian & her husband, Mike, are going out for guy's night. On Sunday, my friend Jen & I are going shopping for Christmas things and having lunch. It should be a really nice weekend.

I e-mailed my course instructor, and didn't really get the response I was hoping for. Don't get me wrong, she's a very nice, intelligent lady, but I don't think she gets that some people haven't taken math classes for almost 20 years! It's frustrating because she pretty much responded with things I already told her weren't helping, and didn't go into enough detail for me to grasp them. Just pointed out the page (yes, ONE page) in the course book that addresses them. Ahhh!

Next step, I'll bring my course book on Sunday & see if my friend Jen can help. She used to work in a mortgage office, so maybe, just maybe, she can help me figure out some formulas. Fingers crossed.

We heard from one of the property managers I've been talking to @ a potential home to rent in Eau Claire. I will look at it next month. And I also talked to a property manager of some new townhomes being built there, and I will also tour them. I prefer an actual house for yard space, but if I can't find a fenced in yard for Harlowe, then these townhouses may be the way to go. They are beautiful! And in a really nice, safe area. And they have great walking trails. At least we have some leads...

What else is new w/ you guys?

Hope those who are feeling sick get well soon, and thoses who need prayers, definitely have them. Sending much love to you all!!

Have a lovely weekend!!!

:pumpkin:

Oh man isn't that always the way!!! Be careful moving those boxes

I'll be that once we do, we'll find out that they need to work in a different corner! cheesy Well, we'll both be there to move stuff out of the way as needed.

I had some rotisserie chicken with vegetables. Not as exciting as the fried stuff but it was very tasty!!!

Mmm ... sounds so good. Do you have Boston Market restaurants where you are? That's where we go when we want rotisserie chicken.

LOL - always nice to have help

We have a few of them, boy is that chicken yummy, it is so tender!

have fun with it!

I hope it's all it's cracked up to be!

"Funny" you mention that my brother is smiling down on me. When Mike died our friends gave us some beautiful wind chimes. When I was taking the pictures of the afghan, the wind chimes were going CRAZY!!!! It was a windy day, so that is not uncommon, BUT as soon as I put the camera away, they went totally silent & stayed silent. Gave me chills. Kinda cool!!

Sometimes I believe there are more messages around us than we actually perceive.

Because it's just the two of us, we usually get Boston Market turkey for Thanksgiving. We get the takeout "dinner for three"---turkey, three sides, and cornbread, enough for leftovers---and fix our own stuffing and other goodies to go with it.

Good Friday morning!

It's been a rough couple days for me, so here's hoping for a turnaround this weekend.

I hope things turn around for you and you have an amazing weekend!

Friday hello ... :-) Just checking in with my favorite people.

We're scheduled to get switched over to cable Internet tomorrow---wish me luck. Our "office" has no cable in it, so they have to bring it in through the floor. They said it'll be no problem, as long as there isn't a big stack of boxes in the corner or something. Uh-oh. I think we'll be moving some boxes tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

thank you! I needed a good hug!
I only work a short shift today from 11 to 2 and the boss will be there so i am going to talk to her.

{{{hug}}}

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

We went to Mom's last night for supper and had taco soup. Good stuff, but on my new diet restrictions I couldn't have any of the grated cheese, sour cream or Fritos. Oh, well. The soup was good by itself.

We checked the StealthCam last night. There were a hundred pictures of a couple bucks, and a few of a mama raccoon and three little ones. I have to say, I know that coons are mean as snakes, but the little ones are pretty cute. LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Coons are adorable. Not sure about the mean part, but they are very messy. They moved into the barn a few years ago and rearranged things to their liking. It isn't stuff I use, so I let them stay there. cheesy

Awwwww...(((Snowflake)))) ...I have been where you are many times. Asked for help and got an explanation that did little to help. I know you will get it. I also know how frustrating it is to be "stuck." I will say an extra special prayer for you xoxo I LOVE the kitty in your message !!! xo

Awww... Meceka. That is so nice.....Bless you xo I couldn't make them move either if they were here. I will not even allow a mouse to be killed........

That sounds like a great plan; we have done that too not Boston Market but had the turkey and a few sides that we would get already cooked, and make a few sides and deserts. It made it easier especially when we volunteer at the soup kitchen.
