Monday hello ... :-) Nervously waiting to see what Frankenstorm Sandy is going to dish out. We're out of the main path, but we're still expecting hurricane-force gusts of wind and sustained winds of about 30 to 40 mph later this afternoon and tonight.

I think you better stay at home. If the storm isn't as bad as it looks like now, you still can go into the office during the day. But if it is as it looks like or even worse, than you are safer at home.

I did decide to work from home, as long as the power holds out. There are a lot of trees hugging the road along my commute route that could easily come down and block the road. I'd rather be stranded at home than cut off from it. Mr. went in to his office because he takes the train. I hope they don't suddenly suspend service during the day and strand him downtown.

Bon Matin, Mes Amis!

And what is French for "here's the count"?

"Voici le Lugosi," maybe? cheesy

Good morning, Christmas family

Just caught up on the posts here and drinking my coffee. I checked and there is no work at least right now. I was thinking today might be a normal day and tomorrow would be the day w/o work but I guess not. I know they were asking that as many jobs as possible be typed and the system left as unloaded as possible because of the storm. I certainly want ALL to stay SAFE but I was not counting on not having work possibly for two days. That going to REALLY impact my first of the month pay. Oh well. Storms happen and nobody human can stop them.

Right now, Hermione is curled up next to me, my Lily (feline) is asking to go out into the breezeway and sit. I don't think she is going to like it - It is freezing cold and raining pitchforks but I will let her check it out. She and smokey often go out there and just look out the windows. I think they are pretending they are lions or something in the jungle ! (LOL)

Because of all this wetness my condition is really flaring this morning even with the medication. I cannot even IMAGINE what it would be w/o it !! I think I am going to go ahead and change my signature to a Christmas one !! I really like Halloween but I am so anxious to get on with the Season !!

Still on my diet but I didn't lose anything this week, in fact my weight is up a bit. Such is the course of dieting. It goes like that sometimes. I will just keep on keeping on and see what happens !!

The wind is supposed to be hittting us here in our section of Ohio soon. I am still so afraid of that.

Take care, Christmas family and of course, big (((HUGS))) to all ESPECIALLY:

Ella, Harlowe, Snowball, Gomez, Ophelia, Sidney, Alex, Merlin, Snickers, Victor, Daisy, Diva, Mickey, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Chico, Meca, Alvin, Charlie, Gary, Bailey, Jerrold, Irving, Martha, Uncle Julio, Missy, Scooby, Sasha, Jacob, Cracker, Bunny B, Penny, Pocket, LuLu, Bear-Bear, Stripey, Holly, Fate Puppy (London,) Buster, Missy, Baby, Santa's Polar Bears, Sangria, and all furkids everywhere xoxoo

I wish it were doing this outside instead of what it is doing !! xo

Good morning, MMC!

I am staying home today and working on store stock. I get to tag Christmas ornaments. cheesy

Have a MERRY day and stay safe!

:rudolph:

Update ... checked my office webmail, and they've closed the office for the day. I don't remember them ever doing that before.

Glad you can stay safe at home, Merry! The husband is at work. I am so bummed about that.

The tree out front is not meant for wind. Our town planted a bunch of Braddock Pear trees years ago and they are reaching the end of their short lifetime. We lost MANY during a freak storm early last summer and some more during Irene. Mine is large and swaying from side to side... eeek. I could hear it tapping our bedroom window all night!

I'm hoping eveyrone in Sandy's path stays safe and dry and with power.. I hope we can all chit chat and keep company throughout this scary storm!

Their piece was crazy good and I'm glad they won. The other guy did a fanatastic job of carving the figures out of pumpkin though. Those faces were amazing.
even with all those spelling mistakes you understood what I said! I was typing just after the show when I was ready to sleep! LOL

I only caught the last half of the show but was blown away by the carvings!

Looking like Philadelphia is going to be the area of landfall according to my local news. Take care Judesmama, and anyone else in Eastern PA, I have family in that area, hopefully we will hear from them quickly.

Stay safe and I will be on tomorrow if I have power.

Good night again.
yes, be careful everyone!

Heading to the airport in about an hour and a half. Flight is this afternoon. Looks ok so far but everyone said the ride is going to be very bumpy. Ugh. As long as I get home I will be happy. My college just said despite hurricane rain and wind we are still open LOL.

Star! Just saw your jack-o-lantern cake & wow!!!!! It's amazing! You are super talented.. In making cakes & making me hungry!!!!

Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night!

CM3- dieting is hard!!! Specially when the scale says you're up, but persistence is key!! Next week you'll probably be down :) sometimes water weight kicks around just to be super friendly & say allo mate! Haha

Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night!

hope the tree lasts through the storm, or at the least falls away from your house (you know if it really has to go!)
keep safe

I have no idea.

"Voici le Lugosi," maybe? cheesy

According to translate.google.com, it's "voici le décompte". Who knows?

I signed up, through our company, with Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish. I wanted to try a cool language like Italian, but I don't know anyone who speaks Italian, so I'd never know if I was doing it right.

OMG i have just been watching about sandy on tv. really scary what they say is gonna be

All in the path please stay safe . looks lke its gonna get really bad
