OMG! It also looks EXACTLY like my little Meca!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Well this surely will:
Days to the Season: 13 (UNDER 2 weeks away, now!)
Days to Christmas Day: 55 (Below the 8 week mark!)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE!!

OK!
Is everyone ready??
<< For what, Crown? >>
Why, for Carl's super-duper, in-the-looper Halloween Spooktacular bash, that's what!

And that old camel has really gone all out.

The decor is fantastic:
Black and orange frosted fired twinkies.
"Mystery" punch.
Spiderwebs coating everything (even Carl's humps).
"Halloween" and "Halloween II" running continuously in the 'Pines' theater.
Witches, ghouls, goblins, clanking chains.....

Well, hey - suffice it to say.
You don't want to miss it!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Horrific Halloween (in the nicest sense of the wish, naturally!).
Sounds like a wonderful evening at The Pines!!!
I just got back from a quick walk through Carl's Pumpkin Wonderland. Free pumpkin spice latte at the door and then the real fun begins: a cornstalk maze, lit carved pumpkins where you least expect them to be displayed, scary music to heighten the mood. My favorite part was the giant pile of leaves you absolutely had to jump into and throw up handfuls into the air ~ it was a great way to start the day! Got to love that Camel and how much he loves the holidays!!!
Carl knows how to have fun and put on a good party for us all!!!

Sounds like a great time!!!!!! I can't wait to get there tonight.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's a cold morning here in central Indy where we currently stand at 36 degree's. Today is supposed to be the coldest Halloween in 10 years. Brrrr. I've managed to not turn my heat on so far but I may have to break down and do it today. Not much on my agenda for today. Just more cleaning to get ready for my christmas decorations. Then tonight I have to go out to my sister's house to give out candy while her and my BIL take my niece's around. We have a lot of kids in my apartment complex this year so I better leave some candy out here too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

22 years ago today I was spending time at Parkland Hospital with my very ill infant son. He was there several days and on Halloween he was feeling a lot better. The hospital had Trick-or-Treating for the kids who were in the hospital by going door to door to different rooms for candy and toys. I decided to join in with my son. A lady in the bed next to us went ahead and joined me with her infant son. We were the only ones who took our baby on that Trick-or-Treating round. I wasn't going to have my son miss out on his first Halloween adventure! I had a costume already and we were suppose to go out for real along with my daughter but he got ill and had to miss out on that so we had to make the best of it in the hospital. Here I was carrying him and rolling around his IV next to him. It was fun to see the other kids having fun. Of course my son don't remember it but at least I have the memory of taking him and he knows he got to go. I always try to make the best out of every situation and glad we joined in on that little bit of fun! It has always been a very fond memory of mine that I thought I would share with you all.

Happy Halloween my Christmas friends!!!

We are having a very warm Halloween! It fluctuates every year from warm to cold. As much as I love cold weather, this day is the ONLY day I like it to be warm so the kids don't have to cover up their costumes with coats and make it comfortable to go door to door.

Keep warm and have fun passing out candy! I will be there along with my grandchildren so have some yummy chocolate for us!

Good morning everyone!

Happy Halloween! It seems "strange" to say that already, doesn't it? In only 13 days, it will be incredible to say a special phrase to enter the Christmas Season. So soon! Happy 'Pines Day as well....! Carl has really pulled out all the stops. I don't know if I can enter the Haunted House. It looks frightening! As always, it's great to celebrate with everyone!

Not a whole lot is new here. Kim somehow threw out her back yesterday. She works at a community centre and was all excited to be a part of the Haunted House tonight for the kids. Unfortunately, I highly doubt that she will be leaving our couch. She couldn't even walk to bed last night! I stopped by the Rideau Centre and I am saddened to report that there has been no progress on new Christmas decorations. It seems as if they must be waiting until tonight or this weekend to debut them. Oh well... I'll make another trip on Saturday!

I'm itching to return to the gym, but I need to hold true to my intent to take a week off and let my knee heel without any added pressure. Overall, I'm glad that my playing season is finally over, so I can work toward properly rehabbing and returning to my off-season workouts until next April/May. It seems so far away, but there is so much to do in the meantime. Speaking of meantime, that Christmas Countdown is less than two weeks away!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Enjoy the 'Pines!! Halloween has arrived and the homestretch is in full swing! The Christmas Season truly is right around the corner.

I totally understand your feelings. It was difficult for me when my son was in the hospital at Christmas with leukemia. It is so hard to be a parent!

LOVE your siggie!!!

We're in the mid-50s here! Strange how that works, isn't it? Things will probably reverse back to normal, however. Our forecast has Ottawa only in the reaching mid-to-upper 40s for the next 10 days!

Happy Halloween in the morning from northern California. We woke up to a little bit of fog!!! It is CHILLY outside, so, unlike Made, we turned on the heat just to take the chill off. I have an appointment for a blood test this morning so the radiologist can maybe prescribe something to induce energy. I can't have the infusions I sometimes get because they have anitoxidants in them and that is a no-no with radiation. I really enjoyed all the Halloween pics and siggies. So, well, Halloweeny! TTYL

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!! :pumpkin: HAPPY PINES DAY!!!!

Well, found out today that we have to tell mom she cannot travel to the states to visit my sister in Vermont anymore. No insurance company will have her now that she had this mini stoke. She will be so sad as going there several times a year for a month at a time is something she so enjoys and looks forward too.
We are still looking into options, but it does not look good. It breaks my heart to have to tell her this. She was planning to go there for your Thanksgiving.

Awe, I am so sad to hear this. I hope something can be worked out so your Mom can go. Stroke can easily lead to depression anyway & then to take away something so special! I'll keep you all in my prayers!

I pray you are all ok.... Ihave been MIA again... my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer... life has been full off doctors and tests and more to come ;(

I hope Sandy missed you all!

Awe, MerryNoel - I am so sorry to hear this! I will be keeping you all in my prayers! There is way, way, way to much of that c word!!!

Hey gang! HOpe you are all doing good! Good to see that everyone is checking in and ok...praying for those who haven't checked in...

Told my wife that we had 8 weeks to Christmas....I love it when her face just lights up...she was looking at the 25 Days to Christmas schedule last night and it was almost funny how she would get excited about certain nights...

Getting kinda excited about this weekend....going to decorate the inside of the house because in ten days........

IT'S CHRISTMAS TREE NIGHT!

YIPPEE!!!!!!! So much to look forward too!

I hate that "C" word, don't you? Praying that the doctor is able to correctly assess his needs.

YES!!!:(

I'm cold over here too....though I have (and have had for awhile) the heat on!!! It is a nasty ol day out there...windy/spitting rain/36-37º - BRRRR! If I didn't have the furnace on, I would never get out from under my blankey! Lol! Have fun at your sisters...stay warm!!!

Good morning everyone!!! Not too much going on here today! Work, work, work! HA! I thought about putting up my Buckeye tree in the basement last night - there just aren't enough hours in the night!!! Maybe tonight? I'm getting really excited to start!!
I watched a couple "kid" Christmas specials on Netflix last night while walking on the treadmill. Made the time go really fast! :D
Hope you are all having a great day. Still hoping & praying for everyone affected by Sandy! I hope all our MMC friends are safe!!

Hi everyone!!! I know, I know, but I've had no power, no where to connect to let you all know how things where going. I just went back to work today, I am at the Starbucks by my house now, they have power!!! It is crazy, I just hope everyone else who was touched by this is OK.

Still no power at home, work is up but I haven't even time to each my salad, but our email & phones are still down at work. We are using walkie talkies to communicate!!!

Glad to hear that you are okay!!!!!! We've been worried about you.

Sorry about that Made, we lost power early Monday, I never got to log on after Friday. It has been crazy, on my way to work today I drove pass this Starbucks and they had a huge sign Coffee Brewing (I thought of Binger - LOL) and free WiFi, so after work I asked if I could grab the laptop and here I am. We have a Thrive at home, I told hubby to bring it here to charge it up too. They estimate we will be down for about 5 to 6 more days!!! OMG, I need a real hot shower LOL no more cold ones!!!!
