Caninemom, I was telling you how that picture of the chihuahua you posted looks just like my little Meca. Well, I showed it to my granddaughter without saying anything, she laughed and said, "What is Meca doing"??? She thought it was her! =)

All of my Halloween decor is down, still have up fall decor up for Thanksgiving which will be mixed in with my Christmas decor. My first Christmas decoration going up is my uncle's Christmas wreath in honor of him since he passed away in April. He always hung the wreath in his dining room so that's where I will put it in my house! The family gave me all his decorations. He sure is missed!

I know you miss him......He sounds like such a wonderful kind man....But you know what ??? You may think this sounds dumb but I feel him smiling that you hung that. I know he is so happy you are all going to still be celebrating Christmas. xoxox

Today began the start of Christmas music in our house!

First song: "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", by the late-great Andy Williams

my heart breaks I still can't believe he passed away!! What a great song to start off the Christmas music with!

I have never heard of this! That's a new one, for sure. I wouldn't worry about offending anyone, that just sounds like someone being officious--and passive aggressive to boot, as it doesn't sound like that person commented directly on your post. FB tends to bring out some people's worst side is all.

no, They made their own post on their own page.. but Unless someone else updated about putting up their trees or decorations too, it was definitely pointed at me.. Sad really.. Spotify is a music discovery/sharing site. One can create and share playlists, etc. The best part, it's all music. Folks can connect but no talking, no politics (unless you can get creative with tunes), no spam, no nothing! Did I say that Spotify is all music?!

Check out/Subscribe to 'RJD's 50 Yule Tunes'. (It changes from time to time.). I also have a stockpile of Christmas tunes in a playlist called 'Mistle Tinsel' where I stash tunes to possibly buy and spin on 'Mistletoe Mix'.

Bummer is, I don't think Canada has been added as an interested country.

So glad you are better and will be able to travel. Your tradition sounds so fun!

So! Halloween is over, and for my family that's the last milestone before Christmas. Because for our family, Thanksgiving is like the first day of Christmas; the moment we spot Santa in the Macy's parade, IT'S CHRISTMAS! We eat Thanksgiving dinner on Christmas plates, listen to Christmas music, and watch some version of "A Christmas Carol" after dinner. Instead of shopping on Black Friday, my husband and I head to Pennsylvania where we see Christmas Village, a Moravian Putz, the Christmas Museum, etc. etc. I'm so excited! I was pretty sick for a couple of months last spring, and we weren't sure I was going to be able to travel at all this year. But I'm doing a lot better these days, and I'm starting to look forward to our trip. Yay!

Bad choice of words actually. To my understanding, Spotify has to work within each country's copyright laws. Getting the right to legally operate involves a lot of negotiation. The U.S. has only been added in the last year.

I was starting to worry about myself in not feeling so good and also feeling the same--vague and anxious. But just taking off work has made me feel so much better that I honestly cannot believe the improvement. Take care and let Christmas melt into your bones!

Thursday hello ... Work this week has been like a continuation of Sandy---impossibly busy and rushed. Unfortunately, this weekend is going to be pretty busy too, just when I really need a little time to back off and slow down a bit. I'm enjoying seeing you bubbling over with Christmas season spirit in your posts today!



Thanks for the kindness. Things are still hanging over me. I should be giddy and dancing today, but instead I feel vague and anxious. The Christmas "vault" of music, movies, books, and other goodies is open, but I just don't FEEL it yet. I hope the spirit will catch up with me soon.
