Hello all!! Finally, an update after a week of just insane craziness!!!
Last Friday were our wedding picture retakes, taken by one of my best friends (and ex-Kohl's coworker) Sasha. She had volunteered even before we got our photos from our original photographer back, as she knew how upset we were. We had to re-rent hubs's tux, which was really no big deal, as he had gotten it for free for the actual wedding due to the amount of groomsmen tuxes bought. I got my hair and makeup done by the same friends who did it on the actual day, and neither charged me or allowed me to even think about paying them (which really drives me crazy because they didn't HAVE to do that...but they would then say that we SHOULDN'T have had to redo our pictures...). We then went back to the Yorktowne and were greeted by who is honestly the BEST wedding coordinator I could've ever dreamed of having!! She let us go back up to the roof to take pics, and gave us the entire run of the hotel. Also, I had offhandedly mentioned something about how I had never gotten chocolate covered strawberries the day of the wedding (mainly because I was all over the place and forgot)...15 minutes later, Super Wedding Coordinator comes back with a plate of them, no charge! Seriously, everything we went through on Friday more than made up for the horror of our original photographer. We spent FIVE hours taking pictures with her...thankfully the rain held out...it threatened all day, but nothing! Super amazingly awesome experience!
Afterward, we picked up Sasha's husband and went to the new Buffalo Wild Wings the next town over, where we met some of their friends. It was such a great end to a great night!
Saturday, we joined my parents, hubs's parents, and a bunch of their friends and went on a murder mystery cruise that went around the Baltimore Inner Harbor. It was a lot of fun, the food was AMAZING (filet and crab cakes!), and while I did not guess the correct killer (it always ends up being the most obvious one...I guess I watch too many eps of Law and Order: SVU and am always looking for NOT the obvious one! lol), one of my parents' friends did and ended up winning two free tickets to come back!
Sunday was hubs's grandparents' 60th anniversary party. =) After that, we went to Sasha's, and we picked up our pictures! We have 467 of the most BEAUTIFUL pictures EVER. I seriously wish we could've had her as our photographer on the day of...I can't even imagine how great she could've taken our wedding party and family pictures if she did this well with just us! I will post some here if you'd like!
The rest of the week, I think I kinda mentioned in and around comments. We lost power Monday, cleaned up Tuesday, and I've been trying to work on thank you cards and cleaning the rest of the week. I am looking forward to the weekend...spending time with friends and celebrating my friend Lindsey's birthday Saturday, then one of my bridesmaids Amber is having her first baby shower Sunday. While I might not want children of my own, I certainly do love celebrating other people's babies! More nieces and nephews for hubs and I! =)
Gotta ask this here before I go...is anyone else having trouble with MMC radio skipping? I tried listening earlier and after about 2 minutes, it started skipping excessively and I had to keep refreshing the page. I thought maybe it was something with my computer, but now I am listening to a Christmas station on Pandora and it is just fine. Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem? =(
Have a good Friday, everyone!!
I feel for them - the stupid news people are saying the "people" are angry no one I have spoken to is, we all know, just the news hyping it up as usual.[/B]
*Sigh*... How about a "tomorrows monday for me" Dance:???:
It's time for the Friday dance!!!

Happy Early Birthday to Wayne! The temps have been in the mid to upper 80's this week. It will drop some this weekend. Kind of weird to have to run my air conditioner in November. Well, not really, typical Texas weather! cheesy (As soon as I finished typing this they just said the same thing on the news about running the AC in November!)
Wayne's (Snow-in-Texas) birthday is this Sunday. We will be celebrating it tomorrow since I work on Sunday. It will be a fun weekend!
I hope you all have a Merry and Blessed Day!!!
Bah-hum-bug!!!!!!!!! I want snow!!! perhaps, fedex me some!? hahahaits snowing!!!!!
Thanks for the reminder, must go to costco.. Gotta check out the christmas aisles.. and pick up some tp hahahaOMG!!!! Good morning! Today on NBC, I have seen nearly 7 Christmas commercials in just two hours. Not gonna lie, it brought a huge smile to my face! For television and retailers, the season has officially begun. The Costco near me already has their aisle of Christmas decorations up and active. A smile is grazing my face right now!
Brittd...
Even tho you live in CA & me in the US, I can't for the life of me understand what this person's problem is. It simply isn't true. First off, I agree with others here who have posted that Social Media is in fact a cloak for many weak, mean, and ill spirited people, without respect. She claims EVERYONE, that is complete and utterly a lie, no where has EVERYONE ever agreed to ANYTHING!!! Next, because she feels it is then so be it... That is nonsense and she in turn is the disrespectful one, no common sense, no descenty. Also, my neighbor two doors down from me is a US Veteran, he & his family are putting up the tree this weekend. What does that make him? I would like to speak with this person in a debate, I would like to show her just how rude and discussing her comments are. Some people should just learn to keep quite, via mouth, or written word. She is one of them. I do not stand for hurting other people just because we do not agree, she is shameful, and should be told so. Her words are extremely hurtful and disrespectful to all those who have served and do not share her opinion.
Ok wow I got hot didn't I!!!! I may be a little biased tho hubby served in the early 90's was in Operation Desert Storm and although I do not put my tree up until after Thanksgiving it has nothing to do with Veterans Day it is a very special day, but I do have a whole Thanksgiving Village up. OK, OK, I need to stop I am getting hot all over again.
Sorry Brit that person is just plain horrid.
What the heck happened with your first photographer??Hello all!! Finally, an update after a week of just insane craziness!!!

Good afternoon!!! Happy "Christmas movies start on Hallmark Channel tonight" day!!!!
I got home from work around 12:30 & I'm trying to decide what to do first. So many things I should be doing but that all involves work. LOL! I'm thinking about running to Joann Fabrics. They have 25% off your total in store purchase this weekend. I always like checking out their Christmas (and craft) things!!
Hope you are all having a great day!!
Last year when we lost power after the October snowstorm, there was a lot of frustration around but no one was truly angry. All of us that lost our power at work just joked about it. The worst part was the fact no one was taking showers, and a few people stunk (myself included) but you know they knew they did and we were all embarrassed by it, and joked about it. cheesy
Thought I smelt Something funky On here last Octobercheesy
 Ouch!!!

HAPPY FRIDAY, FRIENDS!! Sipping my gingerbread spice tea out of a snowman mug with the electric fireplace going and lsitenign to some Christmas tunes with my favorite little boys... could life get any better?!?
Good morning everyone!
One more day until the weekend! Sounds great, doesn't it? Although it looks to be a chilly one here in Ottawa. Temperatures should be a few degrees below seasonal. Highs of about 5c (41f) and temperatures are going to feel as low as -3c (27f). A little chilly before we enter the Christmas Season, but I certainly do not mind.
I did some coaching last night, which was fun. As a competitive team, we are required to be ambassadors for our "sport," so the adult intermediate indoor league asked us to supply a volunteer coach for each of the 8 teams. A teammate and I agreed to split the 10 games, so we will both be at 5. Although I only gave advice a few times (they have some very knowledgeable players on the team already), my team won by about six points. It was good to see.
Kim was watching X-Factor when I arrived home last night. I was more excited to watch for Christmas commercials than the actual show. No Christmas commercials, unfortunately. Kim does seem very excited for Christmas, however. She was asking when we were going to decorate and put up our tree. I told her the 13th but she seemed to insist that we do it sooner. It's tempting! She also wanted to listen to Christmas music with me... I'm not allowed to do that until the 13th though. The decorations, however, I have gotten away with a little earlier before. She will make the decision this weekend. Actually, I think we are going to purchase a few more Christmas things tonight.... Hooray! I'll be sure to have my blackberry prepared for more Blossoms contributions!
I don't think much else is happening today. The weather is cold and wet, once again, but the forecast says it will change tomorrow and into next week. Cold, but sunny. These days are flying by. We're almost at 10 days until the start of the Christmas Season. And, before we know it - Sunday - we will be in single digits until we can all celebrate the arrival of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Have a great Friday, everyone! We'll be turning that final corner shortly.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!
I'm trying to get caught up here at work, as usual. Everytime I think I see light at the end of the tunnel, more work piles up. That's ok, through. It beats having to look for work!
I have to visit a jobsite Wednesday in Athens (home of the Georgia Bulldogs!), and the boss will be out of town, too, so I have to get the catching-up done. You would think that Athens would be along a major route since UGA is such a big school, but there's no easy way to get there from here.
I'm working at Bernie's all day tomorrow, so of course it's going to be sunny and 75°. LOL
I hope y'all have a great day!
Friday hello ...
Thanks, made, for keeping vigil on the Music Choice switchover to Sounds of the Season! Must remember to look in on that this weekend. I've got a b-u-s-y weekend ahead, but I hope I can relax at some point. Mr. might roll his eyes because it's only November 2, but I'm ready to take some Christmas wherever I can find it.
I haven't been responding to individual posts, but I am keeping up with your news and thinking of you.
gotta run---work on my desk
Now that halloween is over and Bonfire night is almost upon us Christmas is just around the corner![]()
I think I'm also going to spend some time working on our thanksgiving menu and making out a shopping list. I'm not nearly stocked up as much as I normally am on stuff for it.

I will, as soon as I figure out how to post one that isn't on a webpage! =(
JoAnn's Fabrics is having a sale? WOOOO HOOOO!!! My friends and I were going there next week to buy fleece to make blankets, but I might see if they can go this weekend! I'll do anything for a sale! These are the kinds of blankets we are going to make...of course they are not this exact shape...just a standard blanket...but the edges are what we're going for!

YAY!! I finally figured out how it works, thanks Holiday! One last one for now...I was in love with my bouquet! I told her absolutely NO white, what our theme was (navy blue/silver/peacock), and this is what she came up with! LOVE! <3

I just love the idea of Bonfire night....I think we may have to start that tradition over here in our house...
Me either!!!!!! We were talking about that last night! We were laughing because we were being so indecisive about what to do the next two weekends. We want to put up the christmas tree, put up lights, go buy groceries for Thanksgiving, start baking some sweets, work on our menus....but we can't agree on what order to do it.

I listened to Music Choice from my Thrive and entered in the switch this morning from Halloween to Christmas it was a magical moment I must admit!!!
Life is still moving forward we continued with the work here at 1 WTC. Water is almost all pumped out.
It is just good to be able to get on-line.
