Well, we did it. We took the plunge back into debt and we bought the truck. Happy and sad at the same time. I like the truck, but the financial freedom that comes from not having a car payment was nice. Oh well....

As we approach the season, it brings me joy to see those who have been gone "coming back home". Can't wait to see who else comes back!

I'm off...going to watch Dancing with the Stars....rest assured, I will be back tomorrow evening and hope some of you will be here during election coverage!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I totally understand the "no vehicle payment thing" but ahhh - it's the American way, right?! Lol! Enjoy the new ride!!!

Good morning, Christmas family

Starting out the day on a bad note - Hermione's face is swollen again twice the size it was. Definitely going to be calling her doctor promptly at 8 a.m. I would think she will be admitted so they can do tests and such to see what the problem is. I am so worried.

I hope all have a Christmassy and fulfilling day xoxo

Star- Praying for your family xoxo

Take care, all xoxo

Hoping & praying for an easy "fix" for Hermione!!! Poor baby!

Good morning everyone!

Cold seems to be the theme across the continent today. It was about -5c (22f) on my walk to the bus. We should only reach a high of about 3c (37f). A few degrees below normal. Still no snow in the (extended) forecast though. The days with precipitation appear to be the warmer days when we reach double digits/lower 50s. It's still the beginning of November though. The snow doesn't usually settle until mid-December.

For some reason, I was exhausted last night. I fell asleep on the couch for about 30 minutes at 9:30. Then, I was off to bed just after 10:30. I took last week (sans Saturday) off from the gym, so I think my body wasn't ready to expend all that energy just yet. It was a good workout, however. I am still getting my knee back to 100%. It took a bit of a hit while I was playing on it in Florida. Right now, though, it feels better than it did before I went down. So, I'm thinking another two weeks and I will be able to return to my regular gym routine. I can't wait for that. The squats, deadlifts, cleans, etc. are taunting me each time I go into the gym!

In exactly a week's time, we will all be rejoicing in the Christmas Season. It will be a wonderful experience to say the most magical and heartfelt phrase, once again. The special posts will certainly add some extra magic as we head down the homestretch into the Season.

Tonight is election night in the US. And even Canadians will be tuning in to see what happens. I used to hate politics. I still do. Most of all, I hate politicians. However, I will say good luck to all those who are voting down south today. Make your voice heard and make sure that you have full confidence in your candidate.

I must return to work now. It is my final day here. I have nothing lined up quite yet for the upcoming weeks. Those 100 applications/resumes I have sent in over the past couple months must have all been tossed to the wayside. It is just sad because they want to keep me, but have no option to do so. Thank you, Conservative Party of Canada! Please, continue to raise your own salaries and make it impossible for the young professionals/recent graduates to start a career.

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! May you Christmas continue to "blossom" where you are!

Again - good luck on your job search!
Yes, big day in the US! Such an important election - I have never been so interested in politics either! So get out there & vote all you Americans! "We The People" must be heard!

Good morning, Christmas family! How are you all? I am well. Relaxing here on the site, then I need to get some things done.

DH is working and the kids are at preschool/daycare, so I am going to try to be productive today. I plan on going to vote, go do some shopping, do some online shopping, then wrap some Christmas gifts. I am also going to make a homemade chicken potpie for dinner.

Just wanted to update everyone: my dad will either be discharged home from the hospital today or tomorrow. He will be coming home on Lovenox, which is a blood thiner in a form of a shot and he will be on that short term, but then he will remain on Coumadin the rest of his life, since this is his 3rd blood clot. Thank you all for your continued prayers. Prayers work and God has truly watched over my family!

What is everyone else up to today? I hope you're all having a great week so far and your weekend was wonderful. I am trying to be better about checking in, but it has been so hetic here. I promise to try to better. I miss you guys so much!

Hope all is well with you all! God Bless. Prayers for anyone that needs them! Get out and vote today! Your vote could make the difference!

My Dad has to go on Lovenox whenever he has a dental procedure or any procedure that might involve loss of blood. He goes off his coumadin, on to lovenox & then back to coumadin after the procedure! I hope all goes very well for your Dad!!!

Glad to hear that your Dad is getting released Sugar. How's the rest of the family? Still praying for you guys.

My neighbor just got back from voting and said that the line was wrapped around the parking lot of the school. So I guess I better change something a little warmer before I leave here in a few.

Thanks, Made. The rest of the family is good. DH is came back from Notre Dame on Sunday - I am not sure if I mentioned or not, but he went out there for the football game until Sunday, so he was out there for 4 days while all this was going on, plus something pretty tragic happened with my sister this last week too, but we all wrapped each other in a big hug and it's been okay.

As far as my uncle, we still don't know his results. Hope we will soon. Thanks for asking and keeping me in your prayers. You're wonderful.

Good morning all you Christmassy people!

It is a chilly day! I rolled out of bed for our morning walk, looked at the thermometer, and had to look again...24º! :cold:

Not much going on here today, other than election talk! The poles were super busy at 6:40 this morning. Both parking lots at our poling location were FULL! Awesome! My hubby voted this morning. I will vote at lunch or right after work!

Thinking about watching a Christmas movie tonight - there will be nothing on tv except for election news & I don't really need to watch that all night! It will just make me crazy(er)! Ha ha!

I got an email from BHG with 26 Christmas cookie ideas. Made me excited for cookie day with my friend & her kids & candy day with my Mom & sisters. Oh, the season is so close now!!!

Make it a great day!!!

Hello everyone. I noticed this morning that some folks are having some medical issues so I'll be praying for you all! Seems like too much of that going around recently. I was called up to the hospital over the weekend by a lady in my congregation. Her best friend's son was in a horrible auto accident and they were about to remove the life support. They don't have a church, so they asked if someone would just be willing to pray with them. Seeing a situation like that makes me thank God for everything I have and realize just how fragile life can be.
Okay...didn't mean to be depressing...but know I'm praying for all of you who might be struggling with things right now.

If you're in the United States, remember to go vote today! Have a great Tuesday. One week until the Season!

I will keep them in my thoughts.

You know what I meant. You'd always have my vote, Brad!

Hey!

Aww, I won't take that to heart. I've even started my own politcal party:

I know, I was just picking on you. I'm getting sick of career politicians myself.

But thanks for the vote!!

I was able to pick up Arthur Christmas at the Redbox, so now we have our movie for tonight, since it will be political overdose today. I showed JP how to vote and explained to him how important it truly is, and when he turns 18 one of the first things he should do is register to vote. I don't want him to be like my father who is proud of the fact he has never voted in his life, and he is in his 60's. I have voted in nearly every election I could since I was 18.
I will be putting away the Halloween decor today, and...wait for it.... putting up some Christmas decor!!!!! My wife asked me this morning when I was putting up the trees, I told her soon, (I wonder if I could get them out now. mwahahahaahaha!) probably next week though.

Have a great Tuesday!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy and I went out to vote earlier, and now I'm back at work.

I won't be here tomorrow, I have to visit a jobsite and it'll take all day. I had a council meeting last night that went well, but I was tired when I got home. I'm still trying to get used to the time change. When the sun goes down, I start yawning. LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

My Mom and I were out the door bright and early this morning, going to vote, and now all I can do is sit here and yawn. I'm not a morning person.

We arrived at the Polling place around 8 am, and still had to wait in line an hour. Lots of people out today!

Here's hoping they can find out what is wrong and "fix" it!

CAH, don't forget about the Christmas cookie cutters!!!
