I have been enjoying my day off, working on my cakes for the competition and relaxing from time to time.

Mom is feeling better, my BIL is recovering and work is going great.
Got my list for the Christmas card exchange and already have a stack of cards to get started with.

But, enough chatter, time to get back to work!

I am so glad your mother is feeling better and that your BIL is recovering. I will keep praying xooxo

Thought I would pop in and reveal another tradition my family does this time of year. Tonight the Great Pumpkin arrives out our house. All of our girls will put out their uneaten Halloween treats on the front porch after dinner. When they wake up in the morning the candy will be replaced with a present. The Great Pumpkin collects the candy and replaces it with a gift. The kids love it and mom and dad do too since we have put on a pound or two in the past week thanks to the large amount of candy in the house. Have a great evening everybody.

That is one of the lovliest traditions I have ever read about !! Thank you so much for sharing xo

Hello everyone, How is everyone doing? I hope well I havent been on for a while, so many things going on. Like in everyone's life :). Well I hope everyone has a very nice night.

Yolie always nice to see you and your Bear Bear is SO adorable !! xo

Good evening,

A very long day today, just finally sat down for the first time about 30 minutes ago. I am still feeling quite yucky but went to work anyway. I woke up this morning to 3 inches of snow on the ground, what a sight!! It is all just about gone now though.

I am having a heck of a time trying to find c7 ceramic multi lights this year, online I have found them but with shipping it costs twice as much, it will be my last resort but it looks to me the c7 incandescent lights may be disappearing, I have found c7 "ceramic" LED's first of all they are not bright enough, and second of all they don't have a white bulb, they have a yellow light instead, it just doesn't look right.
I have been to 4 different stores and its the same thing, it has been very frustrating this year. :-o

I am going to go hit the Nyquil and get to bed.

Good night all!

Hoping you feel better soon, Xmas xo

Good evening, Christmas family

I just finished watching A Dog Named Christmas on the Hallmark Channel. Of course, I cried. It ends happily but I cried anyway !

The official countdown to Christmas on Hallmark starts tomorrow night !!! HOORAY !!!!! I LOVE this time of year.

Solice - Praying for your mother.

Star - Praying for your BIL and your dear mother.

Made - Still remembering your dear little niece and hope she is doing well.

I had to stop taking the medication which kept me pain free. I developed a very nasty rash but at least I was pain free for a few weeks. I see a rheumatologist in December so maybe she can give me something else. Most of the over the counter products give me asthma as well as some prescription ones but we'll see........

Special (((HUGS))) for you CAH and Snowflake xoxo - Hope you are okay.

Morning is coming fast so I will say goodnight. Something I thought was cute (as only a pet parent will) - Tonight my husband was going to take Hermione out to potty when she came back over to where I was and gave me a look as if she were saying "No....I want mommy to take me......" Of course, my heart melted and out I went with my youngest little baby who is now 70 pounds xoxo

(((HUGS))) to all but ESPECIALLY TO:

Ella, Harlowe, Snowball, Gomez, Ophelia, Sidney, Alex, Merlin, Snickers, Victor, Daisy, Diva, Mickey, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Chico, Meca, Alvin, Charlie, Gary, Bailey, Jerrold, Irving, Martha, Uncle Julio, Missy, Scooby, Sasha, Jacob, Cracker, Bunny B, Penny, Pocket, LuLu, Bear-Bear, Stripey, Holly, Fate Puppy (London,) Buster, Missy, Baby, Santa's Polar Bears, Sangria, and all furkids everywhere xoxoo

Speical Post of the Day:

There is a fable where a community survives due to a flame, lit continuously at the center of town. Members would regularly come to it. It provided light and warmth and each member of the town took turns guarding it, ensuring that the flame remained forever lit. The residents believed, that as long as the flame was lit, there would be good will, community, and joy.

In a world, surely gone mad, where high wind and rising water seeks to destroy lives. Where divisions among its people , racially, culturally, economically, and politically, threatens to destroy any sense of civility. A world where vile and repugnant thoughts are allowed to dominate our airwaves. Yet, there still exists a community that is drawn to a flame.

The flame of Christmas exists here forever in our community. In our darkest hours, we seek solace and peace from each other. We celebrate year- long a season of light and warmth, joy, and good will.

We are the keepers of the flame.

And so it has come to this, four days till the season.

45 days.....only 45 days....can u people believe that?........Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..........Christmas is coming closer

Good morning, friends! Time change is still wearing me out. For some reason, I can't quit getting up at 3:45 or 4:00...I try to go back to sleep, but I can't....

Binger....thank for that post friend....I always look forward to hearing from you. Between the operas, the special posts, Darlene Love, and Christmas in July...you keep things going around here....I don't know who you are, where you are....but I appreciate you.

on a not so funny note......Kandice is home from school today......yesterday around 5 o clock she told me she felt a bit nauseus.....at around 6.....she threw up everything she ate and pretty much drank that day.....she then layed down to sleep.....only to wake up 40 minutes throwing up on the couch.....she never had this...so I was a bit helpless on what to do...I gave her some tea and still water to sip on to keep the water household in her body up.....and put her to bed.....she fell asleep again....only to throw up again after sleepping 10min......I then dressed her again and we drove to the Emergency Room....so she can get some help......she was diagnosed with a stomach flu (of course I knew that)....and she got some medication ( rectal suppositories) against the nauseus feeling.......after getting home she threw up again....even tho there was hardly anything to come out.....so I gave her the medication.....and she slept until 7 o clock.....and then from 7:45- 9:10...now she is still kinda weak and not a 100 percent....the vomitting has stopped.....I am glad i went to the emergency room and got the medication so she was able to find some rest at night.....

unfortunately I have to work tomorrow....seems to be a special delivery from a big company....so we all gotta deliver mail tomorrow....I hope it is not too much...on the other hand..........money, money, money.....lol

Good Morning, Friends.

What a wonderful kick-off we had for "Special Post" week by Ballcoach yesterday!
Up today: Binger.
(And you know, it don't mean a thing if we ain't got our Bing!)
Tomorrow: Christmasstar!

Wow!!

But still the count rolls on:
Days to the Season: 4 (BARELY OVER HALF A WEEK REMAINS!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 46 (Just over 6 1/2 weeks off!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 13 (Under 2 weeks, now!)
Can it get any better??

We added just a bit more warmth yesterday.
Today we may hit 70.
(Not very seasonal, but I'll take it for now!)
We show a chilly 37 degrees here, currently.

Weekend Eve is here again, guys!
You have a Fantastically Fabulous Friday, OK?

{ Again! Our special post for today was up after my morning message was prepared! Our "special" members are on the ball.
Thanks, Bing! We can always "count" on you. Nice fable. Christmas as a perpetual flame, like the one at JFK's tomb. Beautiful imagery! }

Hey everybody! Hope yall had a great day! Today was kinda my Friday...I just have to drive to a game tomorrow...it's long road trip, but I enjoy taking drives...sports talk radio, music....and my new truck will let me listen to streaming audio through my phone.....so I am listening to MMC radio during my trip....YES!

On a serious note, thanks for all the positive vibes from my post. Means a lot...you guys are the best....it's truly a highlight of my day to come and catch up with everyone every single day...I love the feeling of family we have here....

bless her sweet little heart!!!!! i know you probably get advice all the time on what works but this is a natural....after the vomitting has subsided, try a lemonade w/ alot of lemon for tartness & w/ lots of sugar over ice & have her sip it. it works similarly to over the counter stuff w/out the medication costs. my aunt is a retired nurse & gave it to me when i was younger. i continue to give it to my kids. it really does work! i hope she feels better today!
