I was not in my current place- my first forum was merry christmas.com- when I was doing research- I stumbled across the site- it use to shut down in February- and did not come back up till late August,, I think this is arounf 13 or 14 for me,,

I almost missed two years ago when I was up in the mounatins,,, spotty cell coverage and I was only able to get about four or five posts in..

I was determined to get on- I was on a deck- FREEZING cold.. holding my cell phone in a contorted angle.. trying to get on.. was up there helping on a project...

You know I thought of you Binger...The night that Darlene Love had her heart attack, she was appearing in Asbury Park, NJ, and I drove by there that night with Christina and her Dad after we ran "down the shore" for some pizza and custard...She went on anyway!!! She did a Christmas show in NYC a year or three ago with Ronnie Spector...I would have loved to see that!

I LOVE that story- Lettermen saw her back in the 80s.. and asked his staff to run around and find her.. to apepar on his show,,,,,,, I am obsessed with Darlene...

Canine, when this began, this site was not even around...Christmas.com was where it started...then we moved to another guys site and he sort of self destructed and we came here...some of us were members already here but we sent out the word as best we could that we were here...Many came and joined but we lost some...This goes back years...I've made such great friends here...I've talked on the phone with many of them and even met Jeff Westover a couple of times. Christmas brought that all to me, and more, so I say, GOD BLESS IT!!!

Hi Merry.. in the "old days.>" ( meaning the Crown days..)- Merry Christmas.Com had maybe 10-15 regular posters.. and maybe 3,000 posts in a total season..... we shifted over to another site.. Merry Xmas.. I think it was.. then that shut down and we all eventually gravitated here..I still remember my first post- saying..Jay.. Cedar.. Crown.... its ok,.. we're all here.. we're all still together.." all we had was the forum.. that was our only contact with each other,,,

I agree !!! Without Christmas my life would have been so empty !!! No matter what has happened to me, Christmas has always been there like a shining star to move toward !! xo
