Christmas Countdown - 2012

well the snow continues to fall, should stop this afternoon. It is a winder wonderland out there.
I have to be at my first job at 11 and my second at 6, will be done at 11 tonight (more likely 11:30, depends on how busy it gets) So for now i relax and watch my son shovel snow.

Brrr! Good Saturday morning!!! It got COLD overnight, hooray! Today, I am cooking a mini Thanksgiving for "leftover" purposes! Mmm.. can't get enough! The kids and I are watching some of the CHristmas shows that were on CBS last night, too! Decorating has been done for... about a week and a half now! And we're getting our tree TOMORROW!!

I wanted to share some pics of this incredible light display near me! Last night was the first night they light it up and it just so happened we got home from visiting friends at just the right time and took a little detour. The boys (and us grown ups!!) were SO excited! It was incredible!

This is blurry but this shows just how excited Jude and I were!!!

It looks like a mix for us right now but some of the models are turning colder so we may get a little overnight Monday or Tuesday morning.

I hope you get the amount of snow that you want! We have been getting flurries the past few days, but no accumulation. Right now there is snow on the truck and the roofs of the dog houses the cats took over.

Good morning, MMC family! How are you all? I am well. Just sitting enjoying a cup of Dunkin Donuts pumpkin coffee and DH stopped on the way home and picked up donuts as well, so that made it extra good!

What are you all up to this weekend? We're going to start decorating today. YAHHH! The only thing I dislike about decorating, is that I have to do major cleaning first. BLAAHHH. At least the end result will be so beautiful - I can't wait!

DH works again tonight, so it will be the kids and me. I am not sure what is in store for supper yet, but I bet we will probably watch Christmas programming again tonight. There is so much on now - I love it!

Well, I am going to read some of the Countdown that I've been missing for days until we start decorating. I will stop back in later. God Bless and talk soon!

good evening, christmas family

i am just finishing watching the polar express which i have on the dvr from last year. I have it on dvd but i wanted to see the christmas commercials from last year along with the movie.

i am nearly finished now decorating my tree. It is 99% completed. It is so funny how some ornaments can bring back such happy memories. When i was putting decorations on the tree this evening, i happened upon three ornaments that my first husband and i had customized for our then three furkids, jonesy (a doberman who was a big extremely gentle chicken because nobody ever told him he was a doberman, rhuffles, my very first rhodesian ridgeback who used to sit in my lap and go to sleep even as an adult, and abercrombie, a bassett hound who was the biggest clown you ever saw. The ornaments are shaped like dog bones and each has a heart above the name. I can still remember buying those ornaments like it was yesterday. Every year david and i would attend a craft show called the christkindl market and in 1987 that is when we purchased those ornaments. I must admit that even though it was a happy thing putting those ornaments on and remembering the craft show with david, more than a few tears came to my eyes. I miss them all so much......

i am planning on watching a christmas carol next (1951, b and w, alastair sim !!) and snuggling with my now one year old, hermione. Clancy is asleep on the love seat and resting better than she did last night. I cannot remember if i told you but she went to the vet today and now has to be on antibiotics for about a week. Poor baby. She was such an angel on the way to, while she was at, and on the way home from the vet but then she always is. She still has that same adorable look in her eyes at 6 years old that she had when she was just 6 months. Wishbone has parked himself underneath one of the end tables here in the living room so he can get the heat first hand. I am so blessed that he is still here. I cannot believe it xo

thank you everyone, for wishing my hermione a happy birthday and for keeping clancy in your thoughts and prayers. My furkids are an enormously important part of my life. Thank you all for your kindnesss.. Xo

xmas - i hope the weekend will be less stressful than today was for you xo i am exactly like you. For me, it takes very little to make me anxious but an entire team of clydesdales cannot stop it at times. I admire you for how you handle your anxious times. I wish i did better at handling mine xo

It is flurrying out ~ big fat flakes that make me want to go Christmas shopping. The past couple of years I have usually gone out on the Saturday after BF ~ a lot of good sales are still going on and it isn't as crowded. This year I am staying home and getting things done around the house. Later this evening I am going to listen to The Greasy Skillet and work on my Christmas cards. cheesy

Good evening, Christmas family

I think maybe he was still recovering from Thanksgiving (he had a little too much to eat as we took him to my in-laws with us, so he could celebrate the holiday...Happy Dog hasn't exactly missed any meals).

has anyone ever had this happen?....

last night @ the class i noticed a slight tingly feeling in my left jaw close to the back where the top & bottom of the jaw connect. felt funny, not painful. then this a.m. it felt more close to the ear canal under my ear. by afternoon my face/ear area was swollen & uncomfortable. i had hubby put warm peroxide in my ear several times & let it soak trying to open it up maybe. i have an herb pillow i put in the microwave & have laid that side on the pillow. i found some extra antibiotics in the med. cabinet & have started tasking them. i know i don't have anything wrong w/ my teeth as i just recently had a dental check up & x-rays. do y'all think it's the ear?

Sorry I just read this, MerryM. How did you make out? It sounds like it was probably sinus/ear related, but not sure...
