That is so beautiful, and so great to hear! That's how I feel about Mr. One of our favorite old movies has a great line: "I love you more every day ... and today I love you like it was tomorrow!" You are so blessed to have that kind of love.

wow, what a busy night at work! Tomorrow night there is a hockey game in town so it will be even busier. But, it is good for business!!! When I left tonight a bunch of the girls were in decorating for Christmas, and it was starting to look really good. I wish I had the energy to help.

But now I am going to put these aching bones to bed.

Still was a bit coolish yesterday but really not bad for the final day of November (the official end of hurricane season!).
Should be pleasant for our Christmas tree hunt later this morning!
We stand at a still chilly 36 degrees right now.

I am exhausted today. For some reason, I could not sleep on Wednesday night. Then last night, the wind blew so hard that I was too afraid to fall asleep; but I finally did at 3:53 this morning!!! The fear stemmed from an old tree in our yard that I was afraid would blow down and hit our house! I could not believe that the wind blew at a steady pace the whole night! I even went outside to see which way the wind was blowing so I could gauge which way the tree would fall! What a scaredy cat I am!!! The wind is still blowing now and is supposed to continue through Sunday. That is one of the things I hate about California weather in the winter! Okay, enough whining! Hubby and I went to a retirement lunch at Round Table today. One of his fellow workers at the Forest Service retired after 40 years! It was pleasant as I felt I needed a "break." Just three more radiation treatments!
Scaredy cat will try to get on later. Here's hoping all of you have a great afternoon. I truly pray for those of you under the weather, both physically and emotionally.

Happy December 1st!

Wayne and I have already done a lot of Christmas activities before December even arrived. We have a lot more to do! We are looking forward to this month.

My pastor volunteered Wayne and I to go up front tomorrow to read scripture and light a candle for advent. Wayne seems to do well with all that, has read scripture and lead the church in prayer but it makes me nervous to read to everyone but I guess I will do it! I get a little stage fright but I'm sure I will be okay. =)

Lots and lots of Merry things to do today! Wayne goes into work for a few hours this morning then off to have fun!

Your pastor sounds like ours. We are notoriously late for church every Sunday. As a result, I'm the one who is "volunteered" for all of the extra stuff that goes on, including speaking to the congregation.

It's Nancy's fault! She should have to do that!

My pastor actually called me this week and told me about lighting the Advent Candle. I told him I will go up there with Wayne and let him speak and I will light the candle. He said, "You will both speak and one of you can light the candle". Lol! I said, "I will"? He said, "Yes, I feel confident you will do a great job". He was very cheerful about volunteering me to do so! :lol: I will read scripture, Wayne will lead the congregation in prayer. Can I blame Nancy for this as well??? :lol:

Today is my dear sister's birthday and also the day we do her tree !! When we get together for this outing every year it is usually pretty hilarious ....even though only my sister and I know what we are laughing about. We just turn into little kids and it is so fun.

Sounds like Wayne and I with our "inside jokes". We start laughing about stuff all the time and no one else has a clue what is so funny. It's great!

Hey, hey, hey! December 1st has arrived and things are going to be in full swing! Our decorating is done and our Christmas shopping should be done today (yeah, right)! We are about to head out to the local shops and the mall and make a day out of it...

HOWEVER

we will be home this evening because Elf and It's a Wonderful Life comes on TV. That is Christmas TV at it's best.

I thought I was going to have ballgame duty, but we got upset in the tourney....so I'm off tonight. That will give me time to prepare for my 4:00 am departure for the woods.

I am doing all my decorating today! Outside stuff tomorrow or Monday because temps will go up so it will be the perfect time for it.

Enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and watching Miracle on 34th Street while waiting for my son and daughter to come home from the Christmas play rehearsal so we can start.

I was supposed to do that tomorrow too at our church but turned it down because I had to work. (could do the first service but not the second)

I know how you feel, most days that is all I get to do too!
Right now my house is quiet, Ray and Lisa are at rehearsal for the church Sunday school Christmas play and Jeannine is sleeping having just got off night shift at 7 this morning.

How did we get here?

It's a busy month... Something is happeing everyday/evening...
I want to spend every moment with my children/family.

We have been baking Gingerbreads today.
And I made my own gingerbread house, but
I don't think I'll be an architect any time soon..
I have to glue it together tomorrow...and then we will see... LOL

Well, it's homemade pizza here now..
Advent Calendars on TV and just the family being together :-D
