Yummo!!! I am sitting here eating Ghiradelli squaresw eggnog, pumpkin spice, and peppermint bark!

Did someone say peppermint bark?
I love that stuff! We bought the Peppermint Bark Candle from Yankee Candle a few weeks ago, it smells great, and we haven't even burned it yet.

I think her expression says it all! "You can't be serious ..."

Exactly! If she only knew how adorable she was :-)

I spoke to the second in charge, and she has said my vacation is safe, I haven't dealt with the other employee since she is off for a few days. That will be fun.

I am glad that your vacation is safe......xo Now for the other part, I hope that turns out okay......!! xo

Going to read some Christmas stories before bed. I'm glad tomorrow is Friday!

I watched "The Box of Delights" (a British Christmas mini-series from 1984) again recently, and found out that the book it was based on is actually a sequel. So I ordered the first book to find out what happened before. CM3, you'd probably like the book or DVD of "Box of Delights." It's a little bit like Harry Potter and Narnia---the hero is a young boy who encounters all sorts of magical adventures as he tries to unravel the secrets of a magic box given to him for safekeeping by a mysterious old man at Christmastime. It's a very unusual Christmas story.
Good night, all!

I wonder how that online status works at the bottom of this page? It says that Snow-in-Texas is online. He is not even at his computer and hasn't been for over an hour! His computer is on but no browsers are opened. I guess he is here in spirit. cheesy

I was using my mind.

That's very neat, SIT! Interestingly enough, Tom Clements, the Notre Dame quarterback in this game, is the current offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers!

Wow! That's cool, I didn't know that!

Cool!! Now lets just hope that the outcome is the same this year.

Well to be honest, I am not into College football, so I won't know if it is or not, LOL.

That is so cool.

I thought it was too. I told my supervisor that I didn't know they had a sports star working there, LOL.

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #25

Good Morning, Wonderous Weekend Eve Wishers.

But to wish away the rest of the Season?
Never.
Yet, there's this:
Days to Christmas Day: 18 (Barely over 2 1/2 weeks remain.)
Gee. Wish it could last a while longer.

Still coolish yesterday but a warming trend is supposed to start today, and we could reach the low 70's again by Saturday or Sunday with little chance of rain.
Nice.
We are at 46 degrees here in the capital city at this hour.

Have a Fully Fantastic Friday, Friends!
And enjoy your weekend to the hilt.
(Not many left, you know!)

Ready for this? I ran my air conditioner again last night. The weather guy just said, "Possible snow flurries Monday morning"!!! Bring it on!!! :playing:

Friday at last! Want to get on to the weekend so I can do more Christmas-related things.

Days to Christmas Day: 18 (Barely over 2 1/2 weeks remain.)
Gee. Wish it could last a while longer.

Me too. I'd like to have an entire week to spend on Christmas things without work intervening ... I have two vacation days coming up, and that'll be it. The office is open on the 24th and the 26th. :( Got a lot of Christmas-ing to squeeze in before then!

Here is one for you sports fans (especially college football).

I was in the office at work the other day and answered the phone. I am expecting it to be someone from Domtar paper, since they are our biggest customer, and instead I get a sports reporter from the New York Times. He explained he was trying to get in touch with Robin Weber for an interview for a catch he made in the 1973 Sugar Bowl. I am sure he has the wrong number, but he tells me the number he called, and it was correct. So I ask the warehouse supervisor, and he says that Robin Weber does work there, but he is not there at that time. So I get the man's name and phone number, and my supervisor said he will give Robin the information.

Now I never heard of Robin Weber, and know nothing about his catch he made, so I look it up when I get home. The 1973 Sugar Bowl was Notre Dame vs. Alabama (Robin was a tight end for Notre Dame), it was nearing the end of the game, and Robin made a catch that gave Notre Dame a first down, and basically sealed the win for Notre Dame. You can see it on You Tube, it doesn't look like much, but to these teams and their fans, it is a big deal. Below is a link to the video, Robin is #91 and is on the lower end of the line, if you watch him he gets a free release and no one covers him.

Great story! I hope Robin is given complementary tickets to the national championship game. I know I will be watching that night.

Good Morning from a dreary and wet Central Indiana. It looks like it's going to be a nasty weekend here with rain hanging around for the next 4 days. Monday we may see a few flurries but nothing that is going to stick. Last night we decided that tomorrow was going to be are annual family cooking baking day since it was going to be raining. Everyone at my sister's house woke up with a stomach bug today though so that may change. Today I plan on doing some wrapping. I tried to buy most of gifts online for my niece and nephew in seattle but I ended up buying them a few things here. So I need to get those wrapped and shipped soon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I pray everyone gets well soon!!!

I was going to do some baking today but the weather is still mild. Too warm to run the oven all day so waiting until Monday when it's cold!

My dad has been calling me everyday to update me on all the Hallmark Christmas movies. He is watching way more than I am! He is really enjoying them and I am so glad. I know it's been hard since his brother (my uncle) has passed away and every year we went to his house on Christmas Eve. I am happy to see my dad still has the Christmas Spirit, even though it will be different this year.

Also, please keep my dad in prayer. I hate bringing this type of news to the Countdown but he got a report from the doctor yesterday about his blood count regarding Waldenstrom disease that he has suffered for 10 years. (A mild form of leukemia) and it didn't look as good as it has in the past. The good news is he still don't have to do chemo. They want to see him back in 3 months and I pray that his blood count will improve!!! Reminding myself: PRAY AND THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

CAH, we are keeping you & your Dad in our thoughts & prayers. Sending positive thoughts & our love too.
