I know it's been hard since his brother (my uncle) has passed away and every year we went to his house on Christmas Eve. Also, please keep my dad in prayer. I hate bringing this type of news to the Countdown but he got a report from the doctor yesterday about his blood count regarding Waldenstrom disease that he has suffered for 10 years. (A mild form of leukemia) and it didn't look as good as it has in the past. The good news is he still don't have to do chemo. They want to see him back in 3 months and I pray that his blood count will improve!!! Reminding myself: PRAY AND THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

We had several appointments in Chico today. We were going to do some grocery shopping, but I was beat; so we came home. I took a two-hour nap! It is almost time for dinner. I am still tired, so after dinner I am going to just sit and watch TV. Tomorrow is the Hoop Shoot contest for both Elks and Knights of Columbus. I am going to go and check the kiddos in, making sure they are the correct age. TTYT

Monday we may see a few flurries but nothing that is going to stick. Last night we decided that tomorrow was going to be are annual family cooking baking day since it was going to be raining. Everyone at my sister's house woke up with a stomach bug today though so that may change. Today I plan on doing some wrapping. I tried to buy most of gifts online for my niece and nephew in seattle but I ended up buying them a few things here. So I need to get those wrapped and shipped soon. What is everyone up to this weekend? I don't really have much planned. There are still 3 gifts I need to buy and don't want to wait until the last minute.

As for this evening, I am going to do nothing but lay on my couch, watch Christmas programming, read, and spend time with my family. Relax is the only word in my vocab tonight!

Good evening, Christmas family

Oh My !!! So tired....

After a lot of consideration, listening to everyone's thoughts, I decided I just could not go through with the methotrex**te. So I called my doctor and just explained the situation. They were pretty okay with it. The doctor's office called back later yesterday afternoon and said she would prescribe something else. I am not even going to READ about it !! I am going to do as I am advised if I can and take one pill a day and see what happens and hope that whatever side effects this one has I will be able to tolerate them !!

Sugar - I hope you get to rest and that you feel better!!

Made - I pray that you and your family all feel better soon !!

Snowflake - Praying that all goes well and that Adrian feels better soon.. xo

The fun is Just beginning for us-Adrian is now sick too, and I am still trying to get over my cold from Thanksgiving time. We were supposed to trade in our vehicles this weekend & get a smaller SUV. Our truck is still broken down out in front of our house,and Adrian & our neighbor are trying to work on it in order to even get it to the dealership to trade it in...Needless to say, this has kind of thrown a wrench into our schedule. I just feel so bad for Adrian, we don't want to have to put a lot of money in to something we are just giving the dealership, and he is so sick that he just wants to be in bed resting. He's such a trooper!

We were supposed to go and see a favorite Irish band of ours tonight With some friends & it was also a night to say some goodbyes as well. It looks like I'll be going solo.

What are your plans for the weekend?
Hope you guys are doing something fun in Christmasy this weekend!

Finishing watching The Santa Clause 3, we had a busy day between work and grocery shopping. My whole body aches, and my wife has caught what I had earlier in the week.

One more thing, please keep in your thoughts an prayers a co-worker of mine and her family. Their house burned down last night, they lost everything. No one was injured, but the event was very traumatic. People are helping them where they can, it has been an amazing show of support in the 24 hours since the fire.

I think you made the right choice and i suppose the choice will still be there if you find there is nothing else but lets hope the new tablets work
