Good Morning MMC!!!! It is going to be a miserable day here in central Indiana. It has been raining nonstop since last night and then later today the wind is going to shift and it will turn to snow. It looks like we will get about 2 inches right now. The winds are going to pick up too though and we will see near blizzard like conditions with 50 to 60 mph wind gusts. Fun. At least I don't have to go anywhere but my mom isn't going to be to happy to go out in it tomorrow morning. I think my plan for today is turn on the Christmas music and make some more candy. Buckeyes sound good and I haven't made them in a couple of years. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!
That is the storm that is headed this way, hoping it vears off!
Nice you can stay home and keep warm.

Good afternoon!
Just one week till Christmas!
Wow...

It's a special time here since my FIL is sick.
He just got days to live. But now the doctor said he could
maybe live for a couple of months
And thats better than days!
Gets us more time to spend with him and to pray for a miracle!
Thank you for praying for him, and for us =)

So, how is everyone doing here?
I love the cards I have received! Thank you so much!

I miss you guys! Thinking of you!

Love Solice ♥

Praying for your family, Solice ~ take care, my friend!

Well 2 days of work then I am off for 7 days!!!

Unfortunately, Sheila is sick with a cold. I sure hope she feels better for our Christmas vacation together!

I hope Sheila is better!

Saturday we'll be having a special Christmas/movie party. We have a friend who does our outdoor work for us. Over the years we've had him and his wife and little boy in for a few times at Christmastime for pizza and a film show. Our schedules haven't meshed in recent years, but this year we're getting together again. Their little boy---the one who used to get bored with the movies and spill Coke on the rug and get wired on Christmas cookies---is graduating this coming spring and going into the Marines, and he's eager to have one more Christmas/pizza/movie party with us and his parents. Next Christmas he'll be somewhere out in the world with the Marines. It's touching to know that he remembers those movie shows so fondly, and wants to make one more memory of them. So it'll be a special evening for all of us.
that is great! I love to long term relationships, they are special because even when you cannot get together when you do it is like you never missed a beat.
Congrats to this young man on his new career.

Good afternoon from Winter Wonderland.

I've been wrapping Christmas gifts all day!
Merry Christmas!! ♥

Hope YOU have a great day my friend!
very nice!

Good morning everyone!

A quick stop. Yesterday was real busy. Today is busy again! 'Tis the Season. I only have about 2 1/2 hours left at work for the rest of the year. Today, I am scheduled fly home to Sault Ste. Marie for Christmas. I must emphasize the word "scheduled" as the forecast does not look promising. It appears that I may only make it to Toronto and then have to wait until the morning to fly to the Sault. It should be getting hammered by the storm from the midwestern US as of mid-afternoon. We shall see how it all pans out. Either way, I will be at home late tonight or early tomorrow morning. I can't wait!

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. I apologize for being absent yesterday and busy today. Have a wonderful Thursday! Christmas Day is just around the corner.

Merry Christmas!

Beautiful Solice!!! Thanks for posting!!! I wish we would get some snow.... I checked out "Foots forecast" last night for their long term forecast and they are predicting a below normal amount of snowfall again for this area.... I'm bummed out about that....

Good morning, MMC!

How are you all doing? I feel like it should be the weekend since I am finally on Christmas break!

As of last night, on top of my prayers for everyone, I added in that nobody is sick for Christmas Eve/Christmas and that your families are healthy, too! I hate to see anyone sick this time of year, especially since you are all just as much of Christmas lovers as me. I hope your families are healthy too and that you can all enjoy the holiday together.

Of course, my dad has been sick for about a week now. He doesn't have what took me forever to get over, but he does have a horrible cough. I woke up this morning and my throat is a little sore and very scratchy. It hasn't felt right since I have been sick, so I really hope that I am not coming down with that again and that this is just a fluke. I was sick for over two weeks! If I would get sick then I would definitely have it for Christmas Eve and Christmas.

On a better note, I am so glad to finally be on Christmas break. I don't know my grades yet, but I busted my behind this semester so I am hoping I did really well. Since I am on break, I finally started Christmas baking yesterday, yay!

We are supposed to get some snow later today throw Saturday. I have been hearing random amounts from between 2 and 6 inches. Then, the day after Christmas, we are supposed to get a snowstorm that brings 4 to 8 inches of snow. Is it so hard to give me snow on Christmas Eve?! I always wanted to wake up to it snowing heavily and a blanket of snow on the ground. Leave it to me to have snow right before and after Christmas!!

I have a lot to do today. I have to run around and get all of the grocery items for Christmas Eve and Christmas. The stores should already be packed enough because of the holidays, but now I imagine it'll be worse than Black Friday crowds since we are supposed to get snow. People around here go crazy when they think we are going to get even a couple of inches of snow.

I will check in later with everyone. I hope you're all doing well! I cannot believe there are only FIVE days until Christmas! Where has the time gone!?

I almost forgot. Remember to live today like it's your last day here on earth because it may just be!!!!!

Just dropping by for a sec before we start another busy day. Wayne and I had so much fun with our granddaughter yesterday on her Special Christmas Day. She was like a little princess getting to do her own thing. We took her to historic Downtown Grapevine, Texas (Christmas Capitol of Texas). She had so much fun looking at all the pretty things the stores had.

Look what was on the movie marquee at the theater in Downtown!

:dance:Well, todays the last day at the office for me, we are having our office Christmas Party at a restaurant about 10 miles from here. I decided to volunteer and be a duty driver (sober) and drive people to and from the office...

I won't be back here until the 27th; ahhhh... a good 6 days off from work! I will be here though, checking in from time to time from home... Wouldn't be Christmas without all of you!:nice:

I almost forgot. Remember to live today like it's your last day here on earth because it may just be!!!!!
LOL, that's right, it is supposed to be the last day
.
That means that my sister will leave the same day of the year she arrived, tomorrow is her birthday!

Off to work!
The wind is really picking up, took along an overnight bag just in case we actually get the storm they are predicting.
Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

Good morning Christmas Family

I had to post that I just received my ornament from my ornament partner and it is WONDERFUL !!! It brought such a big smile to my face and I need that today most of all.

Coach, thank you. It is such a heart warming ornament and cute too. I will always think of you each year when I decorate !!! xo

You are a wonderful Christmas friend xo

Good morning, Christmas family !!

It is just 1:16 a.m. here but since I went to bed at 9:00 I am now awake.

Sorry about such a negative post earlier. There are some things going on and it all just gets so overwhelming. MY husband spoke with PERS, where his retirement is through, and they again confirm that I am being cut from the health insurance as of January 2014 AND he is going to have to pay more for his too. We cannot afford both out of his pension and he doesn't want me to drop my insurance. I am going to have to for the sake of surviving. I know it is a year away but a year goes so FAST. Not having a plan in place is very scary especially since I am considered to have a pre-existing condition (asthma).

On top of the above, my sister's little dog, Emily who is the sweetest little girl is in the hospital with a problem with her neck. It could be serious and I am so frightened. I love her like my own and my sister and Wes have been through so much with Wes having had a second heart attack this past year.

I also found out that work is likely to be VERY skimpy next week, which I sort of figured. Having done this job for a while it is common sense to figure a lack of work when everyone is on vacation as many doctors offices often are. It is just one more thing on top of all the rest that is worrying me.

However, when I woke up few moments ago I turned on AMC and lo and behold, A Christmas Carol is on and it is the version I used to watch with my dear parents and family when I was growing up !!!! It is the 1938 version with Reginald Owen. It brings back so many memories and watching it is like visiting with an old friend. The appearance of Jacob Marley used to terrify me in this movie but My mother and my sister would always hover closer to me when we were watching and that made it okay......When I was older of course I figured out that this is just a movie and ghosts don't usually appear like this ! (Yes, I believe in ghosts, i.e., spirits)

Anyway, sorry I was so grumpy earlier. If you could all say a prayer for little Emily I would really appreciate it.

Have a great and wonderful evening/morning, dear Christmas family. You are all wonderful and I love you all xo
