We could all meet somewhere and each make our Christmas menu. Of course it would have to be a place with a huge kitchen. Could you imagine meeting and each of us cooking for a huge Christmas dinner? What fun that would be! The party would have to last several days. Maybe we could take turns (spoken in my third-grade teacher voice)!
that would be so much fun! Let me know when and where and I will be there with bells on my toes! and a special cake just for you all.

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #42

Well, Good Morning, Friends most dear.

"The Eve of Christmas, a wonderous time,
when love is the reason and love is the rhyme.
The Eve of Christmas when spirits take flight.
That once a year night before -
that once a year Christmas Day."

And thus our count reaches the end:
Days to Christmas Day: 1
Long time coming -- yet it came so fast.
{{ brushes away a tear }}

I seem to get more and more sentimental about Christmas as time moves on.
As the years mount and my past becomes longer than my future, this time gets to be more and more precious.

Thanks ever so much for counting down with me for another year.
And may we continue for many years to come "if the fates allow".

Have a Marvelous Monday, an Exciting Eve and may your Christmas Day tomorrow be all you hoped for in every way, Folks!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Crown, I must compliment you on this Christmas Eve post. It saddens me but I can't help but smile as we reach Christmas Day. Time is indeed precious. We must cherish every moment and do our best to make every minute something that we can love.

All the best to you and your family as you awaken tomorrow morning for Christmas. I hope it's one of the best.

I had fun reading all your posts and wishes for a great Christmas.]
Right now LittleCS and I are watching "Its a Wonderful Life" Only 1 1/2 hours till Christmas!

Now I am headed upstairs before Santa gets here, he is in south America right now.

Good night everyone!!

 Just getting back from the annual luminary lighting along my parents street. There were already about fifteen people there when my husband and I left. Everyone knows I have to leave early to track Santa.

A former neighbour and friend of theirs drove 'round on her break for a quick "hohohello" and to show her co-worker the luminaries all lit up along the snowbank. So when the amublance pulled up outside, the next door neighbour and a couple arriving from Christmas Mass were quite concerned (last time the ambulance showed up my mom wound up in the hospital for three months), they were relieved to discover it was a Christmas Eve call not an emergency call.

O'Malley the cat is ready for Santa to deliver his gift and I'm going to have to retire the laptop so he and I can bond on the loveseat with a Christmas flick before I head off to bed.

:tree: For those of you sticking it out to midnight and beyond - keep a merry thought in your head! I'm sure I'll be poking my merry head in here tomorrow.

So festive, Brent!

We're all set for Christmas in Sault Ste. Marie. I finally had time to take some photos while my mom and her husband are/were at church.

Christmas Room all prepared for tomorrow's Christmas Dinner:

They are perfect for either place! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I figured the previous photos were more suited for the Countdown thread than the Blossoms thread. Less than four hours until Christmas Day officially begins!

Goodnight and Merry Christmas, ChristmasStar, to you and your family!

Hold on a minute - what was I thinking - dashing off like a reindeer without leaving a Christmas poem or song for your amusement!

Groovy Santa By: Auntie Mistletoe (Sung to the tune of Rockin' Robin; Jimmie Thomas [Leon Rene] Performed by: Bobby Day; Dave Clark Five, The Jackson Five and others)

He rides in his sleigh every Christmas Eve
Delivering surprises for you and me
The folks at Santa Update are tracking his moves
Old folks are dancing ‘cause Santa grooves.

Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Oh groovy Santa you really know how to dance.

Every adult from North Bay to Sydney
Every child from San Francisco to Liverpool
Groovin’ like Santa ‘cause he’s so cool
The left-foot dancin’ Mistletoe Queen
Twistin’ and turnin’ all over the scene.

Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Oh groovy Santa you really know how to dance.

A movin’ and a groovin’ not steppin’ on other folks shoes
Groovy Santa can you teach us your stylish moves
Teach me how to dance to your festive groovy beat
I’ll start in Alabama and head all the way to Toronto’s Young Street
Sharin’ what I’ve learned for others to dig deep.

Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Oh groovy Santa you really know how to dance.

He grooves in his sleigh and around the Christmas tree
Movin’ and a groovin’ and Ho-Ho-in’ so merrily
All the folks in Australia and Alaska too
Watchin’ you groovin’ in your red bath robe
Twistin’ and turnin’ all around the globe

Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Groovy Santa (ho ho ho ho ho)
Oh groovy Santa, you really know how to dance.

He grooves in his sleigh and around the Christmas tree
Movin’ and a groovin’ and Ho-Ho-in’ so merrily

A Special Gift

You’re giving me a gift each day,
Discovering similarities along the way,
In sharing cherished days gone by,
Waiting for the season to greet us again,
Your friend, in Christmas, I remain.

Merry Christmas y'all!

But now, I'll put away the hankie and put on a big smile.
Time for my one-week-a-year vacation from countdowning!

Just think of the sleep!!

<< Well, don't sleep too long, Crown. You need to get the January 1st launch post ready for the Christmas Countdown 2013 thread! >>

Shhh, little voice. We'll think about that later.
Good night.

<< Good night, Crown! >>

And good night, Everyone.

Hi. Stopping by. Much love as we see our special day arrive. Yabba'

Well, everyone, I am going to watch a movie or a Christmas program and then go to bed. I've heard that Santa is in one of my neighboring states and will be here soon! So, being on the nice list and all, I guess I'll watch my show, leave out some milk and cookies, then hit the hay. :tree: :rudolph:

I hope you all sleep well, have sweet dreams, and of course that visions of sugar-plums dance in your heads!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
