Back from BIL's, getting ready for a quiet Christmas evening at home, and reconciling ourselves to getting up at the usual time and going to work tomorrow. Looking forward to another year of counting down to the next Christmas with all of you! I hope your Christmas is everything you wanted it to be. I think mine was, except for its going by so fast this year!

Me, too. The rain really came down on our drive to Chico! We just got back home and I now have a cup of coffee in my mug.

Much the same here--we're getting rain off and on, though. Oh well, I've gotten to like California's Wet Christmases--especially if I'm inside with a nice cup of hot chocolate or tea.

Merry Christmas, Sprinklehouse. I don't mind the rainy weather. We have to be concerned with flooding, though.

:tree:MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!! I am looking out at the rain with a cuppa chamomile tea and thinking about what a wonderful day this is. I hope each and every one of you has a blessed and beautiful Christmas day and every day!!:treeguy::snowball:

Just got back from Chico visiting my MIL. I was introduced to a gorgeous lady today, Kay Rodgers, grandmother to Aaron Rodges of the Green Bay Packers. Because of her accent, I asked where she was from: Texas, about 60 miles south of Dallas. She noticed that I had a Southern accent, too.

I, too, hope each of you had a day of peace and merriment. I love hearing about all your Christmases. Thanks for sharing.

10 to 14 inches of snow with 40mph winds? Yikes!!!!!!!!! I sure hope they put out a travel ban so my mom and aunt don't have to attempt to go to work. Actually they will both probably make it to work but won't be able to get home if the timing is what the news says it's going to be.

They are calling for 12 to 16 inches of snow here. My dad has to go back to work tomorrow and the snow is supposed to start around 5 in the morning but get heavy in the afternoon. He drives all day for work so he is going to have a rough day driving in all of that. I wish if it got bad they would let him out early or just not make anyone go.

I will be praying for you all that everyone is safe with the snow. Hope your mom and aunt don't have to go to work. Better to stay home then go out in that mess!

As Snow-in-Texas mentioned about the snow, it's so beautiful and very rare!!! We just do not get a white Christmas around here.

I am enjoying reading the updates on everyone's Christmas so far. Enjoy the rest of your day! cheesy

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!! Ours was full of good times, good food, and a lot of stress. The day started off great. My niece's were really into opening their presents and my youngest niece had to help (do it for them) open everyone else's gifts. Then we had a great dinner. After dinner though all of our attention turned to the storm and how the predictions kept getting worse with every single update. It's some scary stuff. So as much as I hated to do it, I made a run to Walgreen's to get some more salt. People were wrapped around the building. It was the same way across the street at CVS. It was like black Friday at walmart!! Crazy. So I gave up on the salt and headed back to my sister's house. We broke out my niece's new wii and had some fun. Then when we left my mom's car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. So I jump started her car and got it back here to the apartment. Then I took the battery out of my truck and put it in her car so she can go to work tomorrow. So it's been kind of a crazy day but I bet it'll be a Christmas that we don't soon forget.

I'm so far behind. I'll try to get caught up later tonight or tomorrow in between shoveling passes.

Stay safe!!

It was a great day even with everything else going on!!

we had a quiet day having done the majority of our celebrations with the family on the 15th.
We opened gifts this morning and had a nice breakfast. Played some games, drove down to the lake and watched a storm moving across the lake Huron.

Now we are home relaxing and enjoying some treats while watching TV.

Family has left ... and now things seem too calm after the two day event around here. Not sure if that's a good thing or not yet!
