Seawaters, it's so cool that You met Aaron Rodgers grandmother! He is my favorite :-) What was she like?

Hope you're all having a nice evening, I just sat down to relax and watch the last hour of A Christmas Story and then some more Christmas TV :-)

The post Christmas blues are starting to creep in a bit, but I have so much to finish up this week before we leave that I won't have much time to think about it hopefully.

Thinking of those that are going to be affected by the blizzard. I will keep you all in my prayers, stay safe out there friends.

Merry Christmas!! Xo

My turn to sign off too, have to take one daughter to work and the other one home and then I am going to bed too.
It was so nice to talk to you all today and hear about the fun you have had celebrating.
Have a good sleep!!

All of you in the path of the snowstorm, stay safe. We're supposed to see a little here tomorrow night, but not anything near what some of you are expecting.

I'm trying to stay out of the way of the blues, but it's difficult when the rest of the world packs Christmas away and is content to ignore it for the next 11 months. Thank heaven there's a place like this where the candles keep burning and the bells keep ringing all through the year. It's difficult to go to bed on Christmas night, knowing how the world will be changed in the morning. But it'll be a good time to start on new projects that will make the next Christmas even brighter.

One of our very wise members---I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten who---said last year that Christmas is either here or on its way. That's what will keep me going in the coming weeks. Bless you all tonight and in the coming year.

I know that it is still Christmas, but I feel the post-Christmas blues coming already. There is just something about the fact that Christmas is a whole year away that bums me out......
Ah, but the Season isn't.
That's precisely why I came up with the Season count idea.
And Christmas Season 2013 is less than 11 months away already.
Our count has been silently running ever since November 13!

Ahhh but remember.. if we left the decorations etc up year long, they wouldnt be special..

and our first milestone - the 300 day window... is coming up,.,,,,,,

YABBAAAAAAAA

Well, Dec 26 is here. But my mom made a good point - the twelve days of Christmas begins on Christmas Day. I think I'll keep on celebrating for the next eleven days, then!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had such an amazing Christmas here. Thank The Lord for what he has blessed me and my family with.

DH got my iPad that I've been wanting and I love it. I am just working now on getting everything transferred over from my iPhone.

I am not going to stick around for long....just wanted to stop in and say hi. I've been up since 2:00 pm on the 24th, with just a 2 hour nap or so today, during the afternoon, so I am heading to bed.

Talk to you guys in the am. God Bless and Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!! Ours was full of good times, good food, and a lot of stress. The day started off great. My niece's were really into opening their presents and my youngest niece had to help (do it for them) open everyone else's gifts. Then we had a great dinner. After dinner though all of our attention turned to the storm and how the predictions kept getting worse with every single update. It's some scary stuff. So as much as I hated to do it, I made a run to Walgreen's to get some more salt. People were wrapped around the building. It was the same way across the street at CVS. It was like black Friday at walmart!! Crazy. So I gave up on the salt and headed back to my sister's house. We broke out my niece's new wii and had some fun. Then when we left my mom's car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. So I jump started her car and got it back here to the apartment. Then I took the battery out of my truck and put it in her car so she can go to work tomorrow. So it's been kind of a crazy day but I bet it'll be a Christmas that we don't soon forget.
Sorry about your day but glad it all turned out okay with some fun on the Wii! I still want one of those!
we had a quiet day having done the majority of our celebrations with the family on the 15th.
We opened gifts this morning and had a nice breakfast. Played some games, drove down to the lake and watched a storm moving across the lake Huron.

Now we are home relaxing and enjoying some treats while watching TV.
What a nice day!!!
Family has left ... and now things seem too calm after the two day event around here. Not sure if that's a good thing or not yet!
Very good to see you here. I always feel a bit sad when everyone leaves but at least they leave another good memory with me! =)
What a beautiful Christmas we had today.

I feel the Post-Christmas Blues already creeping in, especially when everyone left and again when the "A Christmas Story" marathon ended a few minutes ago.

Why does every Christmas feels like it is the best ever?
Sounds like a blog post will be coming soon.

I just love this holiday so much, the feelings it brings, the joy, the family, the bacchanalia. (Can't you tell I watched probably close to ten hours of the marathon today.)

We have another Christmas celebration to head to on Saturday with my grandparents.

Everyone stay safe who is in the path of the blizzard and the tornado warnings down south.

Good night and Merry Christmas.

:tree:
We have each other for another year of counting down with Crown! I hope you feel better soon!
I have started my downward spiral too, Xmas. I think it gets just a little harder each year......I hope you feel better xo
As I told Xmas365, we have each other. Hugs to you!
By the way, how is Wish? I am still praying!
My mom is off for the rest of the week and she promised to make the whole week a continuous Christmas celebration. We don't take our decorations/tree down until after the 1st of the New Year, so at least I have time to enjoy everything being out/up!
Your mom has a great plan! Enjoy a week long celebration with her!!!
Evening all

Thank god i had a lovley day , a bit streessful and hard work but still nice
Am feeling the christmas blue thing to i always do. i shed a tear

We have each other to combat those Christmas blues! (((hugs))) Enjoy Boxing Day! I wish we had that here.

that's right it is Wednesday today! I will definitely head out to the pines on this the final open house of 2012.
My tree and decorations stay up until new years day, this time it will be until the 2nd as I work until 1am and then have to be back at 3pm so will be rather busy that day.
I also add to my decorations between now and new years, covering my ceiling with snowflakes and those stay up until March.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! Umm, yeah there is a blizzard outside. I can't see anything out of my window and the winds are just howling. The worse of it has just moved in and it appears that it's going to stick around until mid afternoon. My mom and aunt both made it to work okay, so hopefully the worse of it will be over before it's time for them to come home. They both took extra clothes with them just in case. My aunt said she would just sleep on the couch in her office and my mom is about 3 blocks away from 3 major hotels. There is also a DOT garage a couple of miles down the street from her work. So the street to the hotels should be passable hopefully. I was going to go out and start shoveling but I think that is going to be a waste of my time right now. So I'll just sit here and enjoy my hot apple cider and watch the news. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day after Christmas and back to work. However, already looking at the after Christmas sales to add to our Christmas joy for next year and picked up - Mr. Christmas Voice Recognition Christmas Tree Ornament for a third of the regular price!

Let the additions to Christmas begin! :)

That's the bummer about this blizzard. I always get out early on the day after Christmas and buy some new Santa's for my collection but that isn't happening today. Hopefully there will be some left this weekend when I get out.

Maybe it will keep everyone else in doors today too? That way you have a fighting chance at adding to your collection!

I had already posted about our big Christmas Eve celebration with lots of family, food and fun. We also had our annual bingo game with scratch off lotto tickets and gag gifts as prizes. There is always a lot of laughter in the house, fun, fun and more fun! My 22 year old son started a tradition of making his (as we call it) Christmas Noodles. It's a recipe he makes with Ramen Noodles and it's a big hit that everyone has requested him to make. They are really good and inexpensive to make! We had a variety of other foods as well, not just noodles! =)

I got a kick out of my dad on Christmas Eve. My parents came over a little early and before company arrived and my dad asked if we had Frosty the Snowman and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas on DVD. Of course we do! Anyway, he sat down and watched both of them back to back by himself. I would have sat down with him but I was busy in the kitchen. He enjoys the voice of Jimmy Durante and Boris Karloff in those shows. And I wonder where I got my love for Christmas from??? :D

Christmas Day was a quiet one and very nice! Wayne and I started the morning opening gifts we got for each other then went to my job to feed all the animals. We came home laid around and watched Christmas shows on TV, played some Scrabble, ate lunch, laid around some more all while snow was falling. When it got dark Wayne and I got got in the car, stopped by 7/11 for some hot chocolate and drove around looking at Christmas lights with Christmas music blaring on the radio. Came home to watch more Christmas shows and was out by 9:30 pm. We have been running so much all week long that it was really nice just to relax on Christmas! We savored every second together and enjoying a beautiful White Christmas!

I have enjoyed all the Christmas stories from you so far and cannot wait to hear more!

Talking about the Christmas Blues, I use to get them really bad but ever since I have joined these forums it has been the best therapy to combat them. The blues are very real but it's nice to know we have each other for support during those times. I actually feel okay today, even though I wish it wasn't over, but I'm okay! I know people will mention the 12 Days of Christmas to celebrate but in reality society doesn't pay any attention to it, people will say on the 26th, "It's so nice to be back to normal". "Normal" is overrated! Just leave me alone in my Christmas world, I am fine there! :D

We have each other to share our stories of the great celebrations we had. It will be okay! We are counting down again, thanks to Crown!

(((Hugs))) to all who are feeling the blues!

Beautifully said ... I had a few tears last night, and my tummy sinks when I think about the "outside world" abandoning the season, but reading posts like yours helps to give me enough backbone to keep the spirit burning until everyone else catches up with us again. The big hurdle is usually putting away the tree ornaments and dismantling the trees. (We're having a friend over on Jan. 5th, so they won't come down until after then.) And switching over to non-Christmas music on my MP3 players (to keep the music's magic fresh for next season---but I'll keep playing Christmas music through New Year's. After then, I'll add a little Hawaiian music and think about visiting Gloria again!)

Umm, can someone come dig me out? I can't open my screen door. There is a 3 foot tall snow drift in front of it.
