Glad they made it safe and hope they get home safe enjoy your cider, does that get you drunk or tipsy ?

Nope. We call that hard cider over here and I don't drink it. Even though that might help keep me warm.

I bought the ebooks and realized that I bought two copies of the 100 Days to Christmas one. If you are interested, PM me and I will email it to you.

A suggestion that might just help combat the after-Christmas blues--get ready for a whole new year: go to 100DaystoChristmas.com to get started planning for next year! Tonight they are launching 100 Days of a New Year 2013 eBook. The first book on the 100 Days to Christmas begins on September 16. The New Year book begins, obviously, with the new year and goes through April. The review states: A daily dose of inspiration for navigating a new year, 100 Days of a New Year 2013 eBook is a journey that leads you through 100 days to a more-focused you. As a bonus, you get 75 lists and worksheets from ListPlanIt.com to guide and motivate you to set goals, better manage your health and finances, and clean and organize your home. There will also be a book on summer that begins in May.

I have found that planning and anticipation help me curb any letdown that might occur with any holiday. Stacey, are you going to the site tonight? I am going to try to be there.

I think I was luckiest of all, though. My brother and I have started restoring an old '77 Chevy Camaro, the same model I had in high school. When he came to our mom's for Christmas, he brought me an early present seen here. He built the engine without telling me. Then my mom gave me new factory seats for it! WOW!

Of course, my brother loves building racing engines, so he told me to expect 400hp out of this one. Oh my. We'll see. There's still a LOT of work to do.

Sweet!!!! I love the edelbrock valve covers.

I am concerned about my dad driving today. The local meteorologists always tend to downplay how much snow we are going to get. They are saying 2 to 4 inches. This reliable weather website that I check has been calling for 8 to 10 inches or 12 to 16 inches, depending on where the storm/pattern shifts. We have 3 inches already and the snow hasn't been falling long. I heard that we will have 10 inches by tonight. My dad has to drive on the roads all day long for his job, so he'll be out for at least 4 to 5 more hours. He has plenty of years of experience, but that doesn't mean other people on the highway/roads can drive in this.

Praying that he stays safe.

Well, we just tried to hook up EA's tv that we got her for Christmas, from Walmart and of course it doesn't work. We called RCA and they said it sounds like it is Walmart's problem and we need to return it.

EA is now saying her "belly hurts" and she really is acting like it too. DH was sick two days ago and FIL has it today. It wouldn't surprise me. The junk is really going around here in are parts. Yuck!

Good morning, everyone! Hope you're day after Christmas is going well. Is still Christmas here for us and with be for awhile!

It is snowing here in Central Pa. We're supposed to get 4 to 8 inches. I am glad I'll be staying at home with the kids. W'ell be playing with new toys, watching Christmas movies, eating popcorn, etc.! DH has to work, so we'll be spending time together tonight.

I'm currently taking toys out of their boxes and trying to find spots to put everything. The kids are going nuts with everything they got. I just love seeing their faces with everything.

I will be back later to chat. Talk soon! God Bless and keep smiling! :)

I hope you have a great time with the kids!!!

That's a bummer. I just got done charging my remote controlled helicopter and one of the rotors on it won't spin. So I guess it's going back.

It is a bummer, especially when it was one of the things she really wanted. Oh well. Hope you get everything worked out!

I know that it is still Christmas, but I feel the post-Christmas blues coming already. There is just something about the fact that Christmas is a whole year away that bums me out. I just think of the long winter months ahead and I dread it. It seems like the months are nothing but bad weather, long work days, and busy school days. To be honest, I don't like the New Year at all. Many people get excited to celebrate New Years Eve, but not me. I don't follow the whole, "new year, new me" sort of thing. I just take New Years as another day. Last year I vowed that this year was going to be the best and hoped that everyone in my family was going to be healthy, but then I had a rough start to the year with sickness in the family. I am always an optimistic person, but being the Christmas lover that I am, I just have no hype for anything else a few weeks after Christmas ends. Everyone in my family goes back to work, we typically get pounded with after-Christmas snow, and I have to go back to school. The winters here are never pleasant anyway!

I realize that my post makes me sound like a complete debbie-downer, so I am going to try to change my mood. My mom is off for the rest of the week and she promised to make the whole week a continuous Christmas celebration. We don't take our decorations/tree down until after the 1st of the New Year, so at least I have time to enjoy everything being out/up!

That's what I like so much about having MMC to come online to every day. I know you all feel the exact same way I do about Christmas and everyone is easy to relate to. No one else really understands why I am so sad to see Christmas end. All of the complaints I am seeing on Facebook amaze me! Things like, "At least I don't have to cook big meals any longer" to "So glad the family left, I hate holidays!" to "The worst holiday of the year is over, yay!" I just don't get it! I love everything about Christmas from doing the grocery shopping for special holiday food to baking cookies to decorating the house to simply sitting in the family room and enjoying our Christmas tree. I am sure that I will see my neighbors ripping down their lights tomorrow, as usual.

My mom told me when she was a child that Christmas really didn't end on the 25th. She said that everyone she knew really had a week-long celebration, all the way to the New Year. My mom isn't a lover of New Years either, but she said that she didn't mind it at all when the Christmas celebration continued until then. She said going into the New Year still having a little Christmas cheer always made it more fun. I vote we do that! I wouldn't mind it being Christmas all week.

Now I really rambled. It's almost 9 PM now so that leaves me only a couple of hours left of Christmas. I really enjoyed spending the day with my family, celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, eating some great food, watching my favorite movies, and of course the presents were an added bonus. I guess if it were Christmas every single day, that would take away all of the fun and excitement that we experience all year round.

Already counting down mentally 'til next Christmas in my head!

Good night, everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful day with your family/friends. Don't get too caught up with the post-Christmas blues!

You are NOT a "Debbie Downer." That would be me in my latest blog. I understand COMPLETELY how you feel. In fact we all do. (((HUGS)) to you and I hope you feel better. xo

I am basking in the warmth of wonderful memories of family, friends, gifts, great food and everything else that goes with the day!
I love everything about Christmas, the before , the day and the after.
Keeping this in my mind all the time brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart.

That is the wonderful thing about this site, it keeps the magic of Christmas alive all year long.

So refuse to be blue, instead stay red & green!!

You are an angel from heaven my friend !! Your post made me smile and so did that wonderful sun picture at the bottom of your message. I am so glad you had a wonderful Christmas and thank for the boost xo

Good Morning MMC!!!!! Umm, yeah there is a blizzard outside. I can't see anything out of my window and the winds are just howling. The worse of it has just moved in and it appears that it's going to stick around until mid afternoon. My mom and aunt both made it to work okay, so hopefully the worse of it will be over before it's time for them to come home. They both took extra clothes with them just in case. My aunt said she would just sleep on the couch in her office and my mom is about 3 blocks away from 3 major hotels. There is also a DOT garage a couple of miles down the street from her work. So the street to the hotels should be passable hopefully. I was going to go out and start shoveling but I think that is going to be a waste of my time right now. So I'll just sit here and enjoy my hot apple cider and watch the news. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have the same storm too and you know I didnt' even know it had snowed because I was working. Stay safe Made. Your pictures on FB were great !! xo

Day after Christmas and back to work. However, already looking at the after Christmas sales to add to our Christmas joy for next year and picked up - Mr. Christmas Voice Recognition Christmas Tree Ornament for a third of the regular price!

It's great to see so many posts here today ... just like another day of Christmas! :transform:

I am trying to figure out what to do today. No work, no babysitting, Wayne works today, snow on the ground and the temps are freezing outside. My spirits are better than expected, seeing that it's the day after Christmas. I think I should tackle a project here at the house. I know there is something around here that needs some organizing!

What does everyone else have planned for today???

I just got finished working and am having a terribly blue day. I think I am just going to sulk :( Wish comes home tomorrow but I am unsure about it. His BUN has improved from 129 to 69 which is good, but his creatinine and phosphorus are not that much better. His creatinine was 2.6 and is now 2.7. I cannot recall what his phosphorus is. Tomorrow I am going to learn how to infuse him with fluids here at home which are going to need to be done on a daily basis........If you read my blog from this morning, that is about how I have been feeling today. Take care Christmas family xo

Even though I am back at work and the kids have all went home and about this time is when the post Christmas blues are in full effect this site is helping me keep the spirit alive the day after!

Hope everyone else is fighting the post Christmas blues off!

I'm not.........sigh
