Wow, Brad! I don't know anything about cars, but I was impressed with the job your brother did. What a great gift from him and your mom, too. It is so special when someone has a great talent and shares it with others. To me, that is the best kind of gift!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a great Christmas! I'm all jazzed up from testing out my new Keurig. I won't sleep for a week now. The kids got everything they wanted, and we had some great food.

I think I was luckiest of all, though. My brother and I have started restoring an old '77 Chevy Camaro, the same model I had in high school. When he came to our mom's for Christmas, he brought me an early present seen here. He built the engine without telling me. Then my mom gave me new factory seats for it! WOW!

Of course, my brother loves building racing engines, so he told me to expect 400hp out of this one. Oh my. We'll see. There's still a LOT of work to do.

I hope y'all have a great Pines day! cheesy

Merry Christmas, Meceka. Any snow for you?

Merry Christmas, Seawaters! Yes, we have snow here. Actually have about an inch left from the last storm. It is currently snowing fine, heavy flakes and it is very windy. There could be upwards of 6 inches here when all is said and done.

Love the pics, Made!

Now how is that mini cooper supposed to get over that 2 foot tall pile of snow-

This is how the front of my apartment building looked earlier (it's hard to tell but those are snow drifts 2 to 3 feet high against the rear of the building behind mine)-

Sounds like a great day, Christmas-wise, Xmas Tidings. Is there snow even in your forecast?

Awww man, I was outside for just a little while to take care of the trash cans and reset the christmas light timers and I feel like a cold drowned wet rat.... It's miserable out there! No snow (which totally just bums me out), just a hard wind driven cold rain, the kind that can chill a person to the bones, if you know what I mean!

I'll take the snow anyday over this cold rain in December. It (the snow), always makes me feel like its Christmas, I just love it. I think I'm going to make a fire in the fire place and get a hot cup of tea...lol! The rest of the night is going to be Christmas cookies, Christmas specials and movies, such as;
  • The year without a Santa Claus
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas
  • A Christmas Carol (1999 & 1938)
  • Frosty the snowman
Well, tomorrow my Christmas vacation is over and I head back to the the office; sighhhhh! So I'm going to stretch it out as far as I can tonight. Stay warm and dry everyone and enjoy those Christmas leftovers....

..........:tree:A Post Merry Christmas to you all!:rudolph:.........

10 to 14 inches of snow with 40mph winds? Yikes!!!!!!!!! I sure hope they put out a travel ban so my mom and aunt don't have to attempt to go to work. Actually they will both probably make it to work but won't be able to get home if the timing is what the news says it's going to be.

Stay safe!

They are calling for 12 to 16 inches of snow here. My dad has to go back to work tomorrow and the snow is supposed to start around 5 in the morning but get heavy in the afternoon. He drives all day for work so he is going to have a rough day driving in all of that. I wish if it got bad they would let him out early or just not make anyone go.

I will be praying for you all that everyone is safe with the snow. Hope your mom and aunt don't have to go to work. Better to stay home then go out in that mess!

I'll be praying for your dad, jennifer!

As Snow-in-Texas mentioned about the snow, it's so beautiful and very rare!!! We just do not get a white Christmas around here.

I am enjoying reading the updates on everyone's Christmas so far. Enjoy the rest of your day! cheesy

I'm so glad you had a white Christmas!

Made: very nice photos man!!! I am jealous!! I will say it has gotten somewhat cooler today..our high was 65F at 5 am and right now it's cloudy windy and 40F wind chill is 29F...so i'ts a perfect day to snuggle up with my wife and snowball!lol I hope everyone stays safe in this blizzards, snowstorm,or just heavy rain and wind...the whole eastern side of the country to getting it I think...

I am basking in the warmth of wonderful memories of family, friends, gifts, great food and everything else that goes with the day!
I love everything about Christmas, the before , the day and the after.
Keeping this in my mind all the time brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart.

That is the wonderful thing about this site, it keeps the magic of Christmas alive all year long.

So refuse to be blue, instead stay red & green!!

Aw, this is a great post!!!

All of you in the path of the snowstorm, stay safe. We're supposed to see a little here tomorrow night, but not anything near what some of you are expecting.

I'm trying to stay out of the way of the blues, but it's difficult when the rest of the world packs Christmas away and is content to ignore it for the next 11 months. Thank heaven there's a place like this where the candles keep burning and the bells keep ringing all through the year. It's difficult to go to bed on Christmas night, knowing how the world will be changed in the morning. But it'll be a good time to start on new projects that will make the next Christmas even brighter.

One of our very wise members---I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten who---said last year that Christmas is either here or on its way. That's what will keep me going in the coming weeks. Bless you all tonight and in the coming year.

Excellent idea and one I am doing, too! Excellent way to look at time ~ a very wise member, indeed!

Ahhh but remember.. if we left the decorations etc up year long, they wouldnt be special..

and our first milestone - the 300 day window... is coming up,.,,,,,,

YABBAAAAAAAA

Very true, Binger!

Day after Christmas and back to work. However, already looking at the after Christmas sales to add to our Christmas joy for next year and picked up - Mr. Christmas Voice Recognition Christmas Tree Ornament for a third of the regular price!

Let the additions to Christmas begin! :)

That sounds like an interesting ornament ~ what does it do?

I am trying to figure out what to do today. No work, no babysitting, Wayne works today, snow on the ground and the temps are freezing outside. My spirits are better than expected, seeing that it's the day after Christmas. I think I should tackle a project here at the house. I know there is something around here that needs some organizing!

What does everyone else have planned for today???

Something always needs organizing in my house! So far today I watched The Homecoming ~ a Waltan's movie, and The Good Witch's Gift. Soon I won't have the Hallmark channels and GMC so I am watching what I can when I can fit it in. I did some research for work and a few projects around the house. Time is going by fast today! And, of course, I spent quality time with Mouse and Palmer :rudolph:

Thank you! I will! I am just blessed that I have some holidays that I saved up or I wouldn't have been able to take these couple days off with them. This weekend is my weekend to work, so I do have to I back Friday, but not until11 pm! So excited!

Enjoy, Sugar ~ Merry Christmas!

Ow!!! My back!!! It's definitely a wet heavy snow. The good news is that both my mom and aunt got sent home from work early. My mom made it home without any problems even though she didn't go over 20 mph the whole time. My aunt made it to her driveway and then got stuck at the end of it. Close enough though.

I'm so glad they made it home safe! Be careful when shovelling!

Well, we just tried to hook up EA's tv that we got her for Christmas, from Walmart and of course it doesn't work. We called RCA and they said it sounds like it is Walmart's problem and we need to return it.

EA is now saying her "belly hurts" and she really is acting like it too. DH was sick two days ago and FIL has it today. It wouldn't surprise me. The junk is really going around here in are parts. Yuck!

What a bummer EA's present is broke. I hope she is better soon!

Good afternoon all! I hope that those suffering the post-Christmas day blues are feeling a little better this afternoon. I guess that's the upside of working on the holiday; I'll be cooking holiday dinner for the immediate family this weekend, so I still have something to look forward to. And we'll still be singing Christmas carols and celebrating the Christmas season at church and home until the 6th of January, Epiphany. I'm staying away from commercial radio until then--I'm just listening to Pandora and my own Christmas playlists. (Funny thing, as I'm writing this, the song "Keep Christmas with You", from Christmas Eve on Sesame Street, started playing. Good advice that!) I hope everyone finds some special things to do this week, to keep the Christmas spirit going!

Anne

I just got finished working and am having a terribly blue day. I think I am just going to sulk :( Wish comes home tomorrow but I am unsure about it. His BUN has improved from 129 to 69 which is good, but his creatinine and phosphorus are not that much better. His creatinine was 2.6 and is now 2.7. I cannot recall what his phosphorus is. Tomorrow I am going to learn how to infuse him with fluids here at home which are going to need to be done on a daily basis........If you read my blog from this morning, that is about how I have been feeling today. Take care Christmas family xo

What you are going through is so not easy ~ I will say extra prayers for you and Wish, CM3! {{{{CM3 & Wish}}}}

Hello Christmas friends!! :tree:

Hope you're all doing well today, and aren't too sad. I had a bit of the blues, but am so grateful to have you guys as Christmas friends all year 'round!!

And that is pretty GREAT!!

It's crunch time for Adrian & I. We only have a few days left here, and they're gonna be super busy...
I won't be able to stay caught up. I'll drop in when I can, but not sure how many days that I have before we disconnect our wifi, and computers, etc. Maybe Friday?

Please know you're always in my thoughts!!

And please keep us in your prayers for the trip to WI. I'm concerned about the roads, especially through mountains, etc. We're taking the southern route, so hopefully it won't be too bad. Flagstaff is a concern, as well as areas in New Mexico. I know my parents have had problems @ those areas.

Prayers going out for everyone affected by the blizzard. Stay warm & safe!!

Hope to talk soon~

Much love,
Stacey

I will be praying for safe and easy travels for you, snowflake!
