Goodnight everyone! I finally got homework and housework done and it is raining for the second straight day so it should be good sleeping tonight. It's supposed to be freezing drizzle tomorrow and still no snow. What is it about Alabama we can get rain and ice but we can't seem to hit that happy middle ground for snow? Oh well, at least the hubs is off for the next four days so we can ring in the New Year face to face instead of over the phone this year.

Morning everyone. Can't believe the holidays are going so fast. Ah well still new year to look forward to. My wife and some friends are staying at a hotel on New years eve so that should be fun. Have a great weekend everyone its still Christmas week!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm at Bernie's store again, having cooked breakfast and brewed coffee, I finally get to sit down with a cuppa my own. Ahhh!

It rained cats & dogs last night, and had me up most of the evening. Tired now, I tell ya.

I'm an "until January 6th," myself. Except I usually take my desktop tree home from the office before the New Year's holiday. But this morning the CFO said, "Aren't you supposed to leave them up until January 6th?" So I said, "I'll do that!" I've got a little tree in my little barn, too.

After New Year's, though, it gets me a little sad seeing the trees, after the rest of the world has put Christmas out of their minds (and hearts, it seems). So the 6th is the right time for me to put them away and let them recharge their magic for the next season.

I have never left mine up that long but it sounds good so I just may do it this time!

You missed it but it was just eggs and biscuits. =)

I usually take everything down on New Years Day because Wayne and I both have that day off together. It eases the blues to have him help me bring it down instead of doing it alone. We try to make it a fun day of bringing it all down and then go out to lunch and sometimes end the day with some games.

Hi everyone....sorry for being absent...I hated to not being there at Christmas....we had a big problem tho....we had to get out of the house because it was in danger of getting flooded....so we spent christmas at my mother´s place....we had a nice .... a very nice Christmas....but very hectical....and through all the stress I´ve had with it....my annoying cold just won´t go away....lol.....now I am chilling on the couch with Kandice, my niece Sarah and my nephew Fabian and we are watching Toy Story 2...one of her Christmas presents....the other Disney Movie she got....Merida....we watched it yesterday....and I must say...I love it

I hope you get well soon! My cold started a week before Christmas and is just about gone now.

They are in a shoe box stored on top of my kitchen cabinets! Thanks so much for your year round reminder, believe it or not, it really helped!!!

I wanted to share a reading from the Advent and Christmas Seasons booklet that we get at church just before Advent. In the selection for Christmas Day entitled "Mary's Christmas," I read:

"Think back to Christmas 41. Not 1941, Christmas in the year 41 A.D., 1,971 years ago. It must have been a lonely day for Mary, who would have been in her late 50s. She must have missed her son. She must have missed her husband who was long since dead. No matter how many of her relatives may have been there in that little village of Nazareth, it was probably lonelier for her than some other days...just as Christmas today is often lonelier than some other days for people who have lost their wife or husband, people who are divorced, people who don't have any family to speak of. For whatever reason, Christmas can be a lonely day."

I really thought a lot on this reading and just could not get it out of my mind. It really made me appreciate all of you that much more. Thanks for sharing your Christmas with me. Even though I was not alone at Christmastime, I still had a lonely corner of my heart, thinking about those whose loneliness overwhelms them. Take care, my Christmas friends. No more sad talk from me!

We went to see "Wreck It Ralph" this morning, it was the BEST movie I have seen in a long time, I cannot wait until it comes out on DVD now. Just enjoying vacation day #4 now watching White Christmas. We have my grandparents Christmas celebration tomorrow, looking forward to that.

How many of you are still listening to Christmas music?

We are still going strong, we still have one radio station that is playing Christmas until Jan. 6, and my MP3 player is loaded with 500+ Christmas songs. Music Choice is also helping. I am loving it.

I am glad to hear, Wreck it Ralph, is a good movie! My 22 year old son and I plan to watch it when it comes out on DVD.

I just turned on Sounds of the Seasons on cable. I love that they are still playing Christmas music!

We would have a blast! He keeps me laughing and always have. You should have seen him and his brother together (my uncle who passed away recently), they were so much fun to be around.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! We woke up to another 5 inches of the white stuff covering the roads and sidewalks this morning. So it looks like a couple more hours of shoveling for me. Then I have to run to the grocery store. I'm out of everything. Well maybe not everything but the basics like bread, eggs, and milk. I also want to hit up a few stores and see if anyone has any Santa's left. Then it will be home to listen to the Greasy Skillet tonight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

It was a LONG day of packing, and we are exhausted!!

Adrian still has to finish up some work, so we haven't shut down our computers just yet, but soon- later tonight.

Harlowe is very anxious, stressed, and confused- poor little girl. I'm trying my best to reassure her that she's coming, but she won't realize it until she's in the car. Tomorrow, I'll test out the lowest dose of her sedative prescription. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Good evening, Christmas family

We DID IT !!! We gave Wishbone his very first sub q infusion all by ourselves today !!! It was really easy but I was scared to put the needle in. I just summoned up all the courage I could and inserted the needle gently but firmly and Wish didn't seem to notice !!! He is getting 200 mL of fluid per day. I am praying that it helps keep him feeling well and with us for a while longer xo

I am so happy to hear it went well!!!

I just got done working a little bit ago and surprisingly had enough work for lines !! This is such a great company and the owner is wonderful. She and I have talked numerous times because she loves animals too !!! Much better than the last place that paid A LOT MORE but treated me like just a body to fill the position, not as a PERSON.

Sometimes happiness is more important than money! I am glad to hear things are going well for you.

Proud to say the wifey is up and eating chicken noodle soup....she actually kinda laughed earlier....I'm glad she is up....it has been too quiet....I see her laying there sleeping and I want to wake her up and talk to her....I hate seeing her hurt, but this is just gonna be for a few days...the doctor said that while her procedure went great, it was one of the more difficult wisdom teeth he had pulled because it was growing parellel to the gum line and into another tooth....so they had to cut some of her bone out so they could twist it out.....

That is so sweet how you want your wife up to talk to her. Sounds like Wayne last week when I was down with my cold. I was sleeping a lot and he snuck into the room to check on me. I could hear him come in and opened one eye to look at him. He said he was worried about me then gave me a big smile to see I am still "breathing" Lol!

I hope she heals quickly!!!

More blushing. To be honest, I can present my best self here, but if you had to deal with me in person every day, I would seem much less angelic!

I found some cute snowman/flake/winter things on clearance the last few days to put up after my decorations come down (the horror!!) and whaddya know? We're now expecting SNOW tomorrow! This better not be a bust!!!!

I have yet to get out and look for sales. We are a little too broke right now to even buy things on clearance! We splurged a bit on Christmas so all is well! We still have food and a roof over our heads. We will be caught up financially by next week! =)

good morning everybody....well....im up since 8 am...which was more than 7 hours ago.......so good morning is a funny thing to write for me....but most of y´all will be getting up soon now....so it is more fitting than Good day


not much going on here today...been doing the laundry....going to the river with kandice to feed the ducks with old bread (she loves doing that!!!!)....and now I am chilling on the couch...and warm my neck a little...cos it tensed up...then later I will do some cooking....and am still trying to think of a present of my niece who turns 9 years-old on Monday....holla back my friends

I bet once Harlowe gets going she will be fine. Wayne and I took a road trip from Texas all the way up to Maryland and I was worried about my doggies but they settled in pretty good for the long road trip. I will say a prayer for you all!

4 to 8 inches of snow forecast later today. I think we'll stay in and fix spaghetti for lunch. It'll be a good day for movies! Can the Lear fly safely in the snow? You folks who have been wanting snow can come in and watch the snowfall and movies!

I was in for a good nights sleep but this nagging cough decided to have a "party" and keep me up last night! I finally gave in and took some cough syrup, went back to sleep then my dogs woke me up early to go potty. I don't mind my dogs waking me up but a little mad at that cough! Oh well, Merry On!!!

Wayne and I will probably hang out and play some games today. We hope to catch some of the Greasy Skillet tonight! Everyone join in if you can! The link is below if you are interested!
