We had really bad wind last night said it was 40/50 mile a hour
Not to good yet, it woke me at 2.30 and i nevr got back to sleep again to 6am

Good evening, friends!!

Just had a quick second to pop in and say hello, and wanted to let you know that we are safe and done driving for the night. We are in Santa Rosa New Mexico approximately a third of the way to Wisconsin. The roads of been pretty good, thank God. And thank all of you guys for thinking of us and keeping us in your prayers. Harlowe is doing pretty good, she sure is a trooper! Her first evening was rough, but she's hanging in Better now. Hope you all are doing well! I sure miss you guys!!
On a side note, all of the small towns that we are stopping in for gas or a rest stop, have the cutest Christmas decorations! They just warm my heart and make me think of you guys even more. Take good care, and hope to talk to you soon.

If you all could, I am being a little selfish, please say a little prayer for me. I just applied for a new job for a company I have wanted to work for for a long time. The time has come to switch careers. I am hoping this is the right way to go.

I want a normal winter!!! We've doubled the amount of snow that we would normally have at this point of the year.

and we have less than half the amount of snow that we ususally have.
We are just going to have to trade winters!

Snow is back in the forecast for the next two days. Looking forward to the 2013 thread. I joined this site in 2005 when a group of us came from another community. It's taken me seven years to round up nearly 100 posts. I haven't been the most active.

I am hoping 2013 is different! I hope everyone has a happy new years tonight.

i hope all of you are doing good and all are happy.....the year is almost over...and that is just so so crazy....running by so fast...I just try to take it all in.....not really looking forward to tomorrow....lol....going to be at my brother´s place, and friends of ours are coming too....and things had gotten kinda weird.....lol....Ill make the best of it and get rotten drunk....haha.....for sho not...but I ma drink a good share of my beloved strawberry punch......two bottles of sparkling wine, one bottle of red wine, one bottle of soda water......sugar, sugar, sugar and tons of strawberries!!!!....lol.....yummy

I have a hangover just reading this! :wink:

My new Years resolution is to not wish my life away...enjoy the small things everyday in EVERY season not just fall/winter.....

Great attitude! I try my hardest to focus on this but Summer just kicks me in the rear every single year! I become so drained from the heat that I have trouble enjoying it but I will try!!! =)

Please keep my sister Vickie in your prayers. The doctor found a spot on her lungs. Also keep my great nephew in your prayers. He went into an asthma-induced coma.

Yeah, pretty bad. It's hard to believe the Cowboys were once a dynasty. They need to fire the general manager, unfortunately that won't happen because he is also the owner.

For the 1st time in years I actually stuck to my new years resolution. This time last year I resolved that my wife would not pump gas anymore. About twice a week I would ask her what her tank read and if it was anywhere near a quarter, I would take it out and fill it up. Up until two weeks ago she had only filled it twice during the year and I couldn't really control that since she was out of town. She did have to fill it up recently because I was working late & couldn't get to it and she jokingly harrassed me about it for days.

I haven't come up with a new resolution yet but I will continue last years. For all of you guys out there, your wives will greatly appreciate this gesture.

My it is a cold one out there! I spent the morning getting the first six months of my decluttering to-do list made up and then even tackled a few of the chores.

I have some decluttering to do as well! I might get started on that today. (I might)

Not really in a football mood today, so I am watching Prancer, I am not ready to let go of this Christmas yet.

I am not ready to let go of Christmas either! Prancer has been one of my top favorite Christmas movies for over 20 years. I have it on VHS and DVD. Great movie!

Umm, is tomorrow really New Years Eve? Yikes!!! I have a party to plan!!! Whose coming besides my neighbors? I promise to have plenty of coffee and tea to toast the new year in with.

We are going to have our annual New Years Eve celebration with the grandkids this evening. We ring in the New Year extra early with them around 7-8 pm because they leave early with their parents. They don't want to be on the roads late with the crazies! We do a countdown, holler and scream Happy New Year then toast with sparkling grape juice in plastic champagne glasses. Then we usually step out on the porch and pop champagne poppers. Fireworks are illegal here (even though a lot of people shoot them off). We play some games, listen to music and eat. The kids really look forward to it!

Oh yeah, then we are going to Made's house to ring in the New Year!!!

I hope you all have a fun and safe New Years Eve celebration!
