Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

As I type this, my supervisor is doing my co-worker's annual review. I'm up next. I always hate this part. You have to agree that it's been a good year, and we've all worked hard. But, recent changes in the market have placed new demands on our company, so we need to suck it up for one more year and go with an (almost) cost-of-living raise, although that won't defeat the income tax & healthcare cost increases. Big raise next year, for sure! :-o

Anyway, the council meeting went well last night, and I had some veggie pizza for supper. It's not exactly a double sausage & pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, but it wasn't terrible.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I love veggie pizza!

Good morning, everyone!

I discovered last night that my academic adviser accidentally misled me. When you view a degree audit through my college, each category will either show up with a plus sign or a minus sign. A plus means you finished that section and a minus means you need to complete more. Well, last semester before I dropped a class, it was showing up with a plus sign in a section when my adviser checked my degree audit. Then after I dropped it, the sign changed to a minus and neither of us knew. That meant that I had to take an extra class in order to graduate. Thankfully, I checked my audit last night on my own and noticed that something wasn't right. I now have to change my schedule but I think everything will work out. I am lucky I caught the error otherwise I would have to go an extra semester for simply one class!

My first day was good yesterday. I think I am actually going to like the class that I had in the morning. The professor is nice and the material seemed interesting enough.

I am going to have a busy day today. There are so many things I need to get done!

Have a good one everyone!

I'm glad you caught that minus sign in time and that you like your class. Good luck with this semester, jennifer!

I had a great Aunt and Uncle that use to just put a big trash bag over there tree at the end of the season and slide it into the closet with everything still on it. Then the next year they would just slide it back out, take the bag off, and plug it back in.

One of my sisters does that!

Santa Claus, Indiana facebook post this morning:

Who still has their Christmas tree and decorations up? We do! :)

Love it since they keep theirs up year round! It shows that it's okay to still have your decorations up. :yahoo:

Wayne and I hope to visit Santa Claus, Indiana again someday. What a great place to go to!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I do my walking for exercise in the morning before daylight, and while I was out I noticed that the Christmas lights were still burning on our train depot. It made me smile to see those lights while listening to an old copy of the Merry Podcast, as I always do while walking.

My brother-in-law sandblasted some of the car parts for the Camaro my brother and I are building. I need to go to the shop and spray some primer on them before they start rusting. Maybe I can do that this evening.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Hi everyone

Happy Wednesday all...

Well, today is a little sad my Mother In Law goes home to England today. We had such a nice visit I really enjoyed having her visit.

That sounds like Binger's advice.

How could it?
They've never had a lack of caffein headache.

I got my phone call around 6pm.

I got the job!!!

But...

...I turned it down, if I took it I would have been working 12-9 Mon.-Fri. and 8-1 Saturday mornings. I would have missed my boys growing up, my father wasn't there for me after my parents divorced, and I wasn't going to let that happen to my kids. I want to watch them play baseball games, Cub Scouts, and whatever endeavor they decide to do. I was teary after I hung up with my interviewer, I really wanted this job. I want to maybe even need to change careers, the money would have made us comfortable, maybe even very comfortable, but time with my family is more important. He understood, and told me if I change my mind to call him.

Everything happens for a reason.

I, too, admire your decision, xmas!

good evening, christmas family

i wanted to stop by and give you all an update on wishbone. It isn't good. He had blood work done today and his bun is back up to 129, creatinine 3.4. There was another value also but i cannot recall what it is right now. The doctor said we will check blood every two weeks to see how things are trending. If they even out and just stay there then that will be okay. If he starts having bouts of "gi" symptoms that are intractable then.........i can't even say it. As long as he feels good and he is comfortable then we will continue the lactated ringer solution. I won't hang on to him one second longer if he gets to the point he is suffering. I know, i have had him a long time and yes, he has had a good long life. But i still love him. We have an especially close bond but if it becomes time to let him go to god (my belief) then i will do that.

sorry for being so sad. Today has not been a good one. I feel as though i have been assailed from all sides, worried about wish, extremely worried about money and on and on. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better and more christmassy day xo

Xmas...... I am happy that you got the job; but happier still you turned it down!!! I know as your boys grow up and turn into men they will remember all the times you were there and try to raise their family like you and your wife did, I love family NOTHING is more important remember no tomb stone ever read "Wished I worked longer hours and missed out on my family" - You are a good person we need men (and woman) like you!!!

Well said, lauriebear!

I had learned from my mom how money is not everything. She said this from experience. Her family went from riches to rags when she was growing up. When she was really young her family was very wealthy and had a beautiful home in California. They even lived in the same neighborhood with one of the Little Rascals!

Which Our Gang member lived in their neighborhood? I'm curious, because I've met a few of them.

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!

I am a great aunt again ~ Zoey Ann arrived on the 4th. She is such a beautiful baby! Her dad is my age and her mom is only a few years younger so it seems weird to be in the "great" category ~ but I love it!

I am caught up on the past two days' posts ~ just in time to start work

Have a most MERRY day!!!
