I just got back from the vet with Chico a couple of hours ago for a check up on his heart. The vet said he sounded well and wants to see him in a few months for a follow up but so far things are good. I just keep praying!
My mother was here for a little bit looking at the films. I discovered some video taken of them attending the Rose Parade! We don't have an exact date but it was sometime in the 40's. That was fun to find! Still no sign of Christmas but we found New Years Day at the parade!

getting ready to go to sleep...need to rest a bit...tomorrow is another day of delivering annoying mail (it is almost only companys and official institutions are sending letters with us...so it is usually bills and stuff like that...that´s why i call it annoying....and because it is a lot of mail this week...lol and im lazy...lol) tomorrow....i hope all y´all are gon have a nice day and enjoy the time in christmas land aja mmc

I have taken down 2 of our trees, the 7.5 foot:
and the 3 foot tree that goes in the bay window. We still have our living room tree up, at least for a few more days. I also put most of the decorations away and unplugged the outdoor lights.
That and laundry is what I have been doing so far today, nothing special, I do realize I need to get another tote, we have seemed tohave inherited or bought more stuff this year.

I am just trying to figure out how to preserve these videos right now. They are on VHS and I have this fear of the tape breaking down or the VCR eating them up. I was just discussing this with MerryCarey. I need to figure out how to get them on DVD and on an external hard drive. From there I can get some of it uploaded onto youtube. There is a way to do this, I just don't know how yet.
I believe walmart, walgreen's or CVS offer a service to have tapes transferred to DVD or digital. You can also check out your local cable access station, I know ours does the transfer from tape to DVD for a fee.

I know when my mom just had the 8mm reel transferred to VHS (onto 2 tapes) it cost 200 bucks! That was in the early 90's when she did that.
I am very proud of the way that room looks, especially at Christmastime. I chose that color specifically to go with Christmas, it was a lot of work when we moved in, that room was in bad shape. Of course the above picture is now, but this is what it was before:
I think it's something like $20-$30 for two hours of footage now.

Xmas365, I never said one word out loud but my granddaughter just looked over at the picture of the tree and said, "Ohh, Christmas Tree"! Then she said, "What is that"? She was pointing at the foot!!! Ha ha! Your son has a popular foot! =)
