I took off running after work yesterday, trying to get more work done before it got dark. Lulu (our dog) and I rode around in my truck till dark, but we got it done! She loves to ride with her head hanging out the window, so she's become my work partner.

That's right, you and your family have the "snowflakes" afghan. Nothing beats a handmade afghan on a cold evening.

The afghan whose pattern I just figured out ... that one won't be made for a long time. I was already working on a film afghan, and I ordered a kit for a Christmas afghan on sale that should be arriving today.

I am glad Wish is proving the doc wrong on how he should feel. Wish is a rebel and wants to feel great! Go Wish!!! Now he can prove him wrong and stay with you much longer! I pray he will.

I will be praying for you in your rocky situation as well.

I recommend the tea, since there is a whispered (or should I say shispered) rumor floating around that Carl has been experimenting with the coffee again.
Something about nutmeg and sour cream. It's a little unclear.

I had heard that too. Carl ran out of whipped cream and I am assuming he is topping the lattes with sour cream? Hmm... that might be interesting. That is just my guess. We will soon find out!!! cheesy

Good morning Christmas friends, it's Friday and it's finally chilly outside too. I may have to watch my dvr'd Christmas movies over the weekend. Yesterday at work one of my co workers never showed up for work,which was unusual for her. Long story short they found her dead floating face down in her tub. It looks like she fell hit her head while getting out of the bath but they are still doing an autopsy to make sure no foul play was involved since she lived alone and all. needless to say we are all shook up and upset about it. Please keep her family in your prayers. She is from California but we are still going to have a memorial service for her over the weekend.

Snowball is still sick too..he has a Dr Appt this morning at 10. As soon as he finished his meds he starts having symptoms again. but it's not like he can continue to stay on them for long periods of time because they are very strong drugs. That has me wrorried sick because he will need surgery if he does not get better. Well I better start moving because I feel like I could go right back to bed! Have a great morning everyone! and we are in the 200's now days till the season!who hoo...I still have the PCB's especially yesterday when it turned cold!

Oh, my, that is awful! Prayers on the way, Dawg!

So glad you figured it out! Maybe the designer was having a drink with Valerie!!!

I did it! I did it! I'm just using scrap yarn for now, but I'll hang onto the sample to refer to when I actually make the afghan in the future. I had one too many ripples before "turning back" at the center. The rest of the pattern is incredibly complex to follow. "Sc in unused lp at base of 3rd dc of next cluster ..." Doesn't make much sense until you figure out she just wants you to sc in the bottom point of a ripple, for instance. If you look at what you're working on, you can kinda see where the designer wants you to go. Wish me luck. If I ever succeed in making this for real, it should be a stunner. Holy cow. I dunno what she was drinking when she devised this pattern.

On my way to the doctor to get two prescriptions. Then back to school for this afternoon. I went to bed about 6:40 last night, woke up when Hubby got home at 10:30 and then back to sleep almost immediately. Still a little tired this morning. TTTL
