I am reading two books by the same author: 10 Years Later and Hoda by Hoda Kotb.

Thanks, Seawaters ! That is so great that your priest acknowledged you and that you gave your support to the little girl who needed it. You are so well loved (((HUGS))) xo

Okay, I'll "bite." What is your groundhog dinner?

1. Country-Style Groundhog:

Ingredients:
1. 7 individual groundhogs
2. ½ cup flour
3. ¼ tsp. salt
4. ¼ tsp. pepper
5. ¼ tsp. soda
6. ¼ c. cooking oil
7. ½ tsp. sugar

Instructions:
Prepare groundhog by removing the small sacs in the back and under the forearm. Soak groundhog overnight in salted water. This will help remove the gamey flavor. Combine flour, salt, pepper, and soda; use as a rub on the groundhog. Brown the groundhog in hot oil in the skillet, and sprinkle with sugar. Reduce heat, add 1 ½ cup water. Cover, simmer for about 30 minutes or until tender. Remove cover; let cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Oh, yes, that was a SWEET commercial.

That has a good ring to it.....

Thanks, Dawg!

This sounds scary! But I'm saving this recipe.....love hot wings...

This is a great commercial....

I used to be a great swimmer....now, it's more like a great floater...

Wish we could have been there. That sounds so sweet. I think we could all pitch and help you store stuff, if need be!!!

Hey everyone! Been gone for a few days, but we have been very busy.

Thursday night we went to tell my Mom...what a moment....so that led to her taking us out to celebrate Friday.

Yesterday, my wife's family had her a birthday party. All of her sisters, nieces, and nephews were there...they all gave her good gifts...but they sure were surprised when she gave them a gift.....one of the best moments of my life....

So that's what's been going on here....I started cleaning out a room yesterday morning...going to have a garage sell in a couple of weeks to get rid of a bedroom suite...so that I can start creating a nursery...

wife said we might have to get rid of some decorations.....pff....I said we might have to get rid of the washer and dryer.....those decorations aren't going anywhere...

She laughed. I didn't.

Those must've been some pretty special moments with your family :)

Congrats again to you both!!

About one more hour and I will be glued to the couch for the duration of the day.....

Gotta do some dusting and sweeping, put on supper....then it's time...

Go Cowboys!

lol....

Got up EARLY this morning to be in the next town for the Ord Bend Fire Dept. pancake breakfast. So good! Now I am so sleepy. Time for meds and a nap and then time to start making all the goodies for Super Bowl. I love to "snack" this way!

In the one book I am reading entitled Hoda, the author, an Egyptian, gives her mother's recipe for baklava. It is exactly like mine! I am really enjoying both of these books. They could stand a little more editing, but it doesn't take too much away. Very interesting reads.

I have not made baklava since my kids were little, wonder if I still have the recipe kicking around somewhere?

Sounds like a great time, I remember sharing when we were having our boys, the faces and reactions were priceless.

No one touches the decorations here except me when it is time to decide what goes. cheesy

watching Hotel Transylvania with LittleCS and just enjoying be warm at home.
Cake is baked and when cooled will get it decorated for tomorrow.

My son said something about a football game today, stocked up on a bunch of snacks, friends coming over. Good thing they will all be downstairs in the rec room! I can even close the door if they get to enthusiastic.

Your going to lock the kids in the basement? No more QVC for you!!!

I'd add on to the house before I got rid of the decorations!!!!! Okay, maybe just a storage shed.
