Only one day till the weekend, and our annual journey to the All-Maryland Reptile Show! That's our yearly Valentine's day treat. I can't wait to see all the cute little baby snakes and lizards. I hope they have the hissing roaches again too; they were pretty funny. And after we view the reptiles to our heart's content, we'll go out to dinner. Good times!

Thursday hello ... :-)

I don't think you'll be getting quite as much snow out your way, but it still won't be any picnic. There are a lot of scoffers saying "weather hype," but my understanding is that the major models are agreeing on this one, so a big fat hairy Nor'easter is definitely on the way. (I have a feeling that some of those scoffers are the same ones who will be buying gallons of milk at the last minute ...) I'll be watching the forecasts tonight and battening down the hatches. We're well stocked, so we should be okay.

Another reason I'm sure there will be a nasty storm ... one of our agency's clients is an electric utility company, and they informed us yesterday that they want to run an ad on Monday about their response to the storm ...

Praying for you MerryC and Xmas! Keep us updated.

I am hearing about some heavy snow for some of you all. We are suppose to get in the mid 70's up to 80 degrees today. I wouldn't mind having a little of your snow here! For now I will enjoy the mild temps to get some outdoor work done and ride my bike!

Stay safe in the harsh weather headed your way!

It looks as if we're in store for close to 8 inches until Saturday morning. I'd take those mild temperatures, but I'll continue to enjoy the snow.

it is hitting a wide area and from what I am hearing it will different in each spot, now they are saying we may get mostly freezing rain here too. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

I'll be thinking about you! Stay safe!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high around 50. The bad thing is that it's going to start storming here in a bit so I can't really get out and enjoy it. I get to play accountant today. I have my mom's, Sister's, and Aunt's taxes to do. Fun Times. I actually don't mind it. I took 3 years of accounting in high school and that was my original plan in life. Then I decided that I could never stand a job that required me to sit behind a desk all day long. So I went the mechanic route. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy! Sounds fun! Stay safe!

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you're all well. The count seems to be getting closer to the next milestone. I had a decent interview last night. I can't quite claim it as being "successful" until the hiring process has completed. The interesting news is that they are looking to complete the process by next Monday. I really want this career position. It would be great to (finally) have some security. I'd appreciate some assistance from you all, too. Thanks!

More importantly, I need your support for something else, too. My grandmother is having quite the battle right now. She's 83, but her health has been deteriorating over the past five or six years. She used to be quite healthy until my grandfather past away. Anyway, she has been in the hospital since Saturday morning and they don't quite know what is wrong. They've run tests but the doctors are baffled. With that said, I would appreciate your help and assistance on this matter, too. My grandmother has always been there for me and it is tough for me not to be around her during this tough time. Thank you!

Enjoy your Thursday, everyone. After today, there is only one more work day until the weekend!

Prayers on the way!

My prayers are on the way too.

DH and I are going to see Luke Bryan tomorrow night. The kids are going to my in-laws, so we're going to stay in a hotel for the night then. I'm so excited to get away for a day or so, plus, so excited to see Luke...yahhhh...sorry Made!

Sorry I talked to your hubby and he's taking me now instead of you!! He needs a boys night out!!!

Valentine's Day is a week from today. Does anyone have any special plans? I don't! It's usually boring unless you have someone to celebrate with, which I don't. My friends and I might make a movie night out of it.

DH and I are going out for dinner and will be seeing Luke Bryan tomorrow, then staying out a hotel. We're going out for dinner then next weekend, since we both work on Valentine's Day night.

Lots of people are talking about the lovely snow storm that's expected. So I looked on the National Weather Service, and all we have for our area is a gale warning. I hope everyone stays safe, but I wish we could have some snow, too!

Praying for your grandmother, Brent!

Well Sugar, I guess you and I could have a girl's night out since Made is running off with your hubby for a guy's night out! Just grab the tickets from them before you leave. (I don't even know who Luke Bryan is). Lol! I will look him up!

I would love to be having the weather you are, but hate it in the summer. I wish I could love somewhere that is in the 70, 80's all year-around!

so you will run an ad that says
"Yes, we your electric company have responded to this storm by ordering an ad be printed so if the power goes out you will know we are here! "

 Haven't seen the actual copy yet---they usually thank their customers for their patience (ain't that encouraging?) and reinforce how quickly they responded in the face of great difficulties.

Don't go to work unless you have to if it's supposed to hit on Friday. You think businesses would be smart enough to close than risk their employees' lives!

Some of the school systems in Massachusetts, including Boston public schools, have already cancelled classes for tomorrow. And Mr.'s office has told everybody not to come in, which is a BIG relief to me. I'm planning to work from home. Some areas are now being told to expect 30+ inches. I hope we don't lose our power ... they'll have a tough time getting around to fix outages.

Good luck on the position! Hoping everything goes well!

Praying for your grandmother.

Sorry I talked to your hubby and he's taking me now instead of you!! He needs a boys night out!!!

As much as he loves Luke's music, I think he would miss the fact of hearing me aww over saying, "Look at Luke shaking it!" HAHAHA

That is what I am SOOOO excited for! (I knew you would just LOVE that!

According to Made, there has been a change in plans, LOL!!!

Would you and Mr. be one of the first to get the power back on since you should have some pull because of the ad copy??!!
