Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good Morning, Friends of all beverage persuasions and sleep habit proclivities.

The count -- straight away and without alliterative diversions:
Days to the Season: 273
Days to Christmas Day: 315

And with the passing of Milestone #2, and the concurrent entering of the 2nd quarter of our count, thoughts just naturally turn to the proximity of Milestone #3.
With curiosity piqued beyond the point of toleration, I find myself compelled to alleviate the pain of uncertainty.

With a quick reference to our Milestone chart (conveniently located at post #1 of this thread) we discover that the next marker to arrive is none other than the 300-day Christmas Day window.
And ---- lo and behold ---- it is just 15 days away.
That's just 2 weeks from tomorrow, Guys!
(And then BOTH of our counts will be in the 200's.
WOWZA, indeed!!)

Warm weather for February persists, and yesterday was exceptionally nice in that regard.
Should be cooler today, however. And already the rain has begun to fall.
Right now, we show 46 degrees on our back door thermometer.

Ready for his Valentine's Day themed open house?
Ready for the heart-shaped, red-frosted fired twinkies?
Ready for the door prize, which rumor indicates could be giant box of chocolates on which Carl has experimented with.....um..... some interestingly unusual cocoa blends?
Well, ready or not, you really don't want to be absent or AWOL this evening.

Hi caninemom! Thanks for asking - Buster is doing pretty darn well. He gets older every day - some days are GREAT & some days he is a little slower! BUT he is almost 17, so for that age, I think he is awesome! (knocking on wood!) His eye looks funny, but it doesn't seem to bother him. He still hangs out with us, eats good, loves his walks...wish he could live forever!! How is Hermione & all the other furbabies? I hope all are well!!

Hi Holiday !! I am so glad Buster is doing good !! He and Wish are about the same age. Wish just turned 16-1/2 last week. He is still doing well with his daily subcu fluids and medications for his heart. As you say, knock wood xo All the other kids are doing well.

Well, the bigwigs just showed up. Everyone around here is trying to look busy...LOL. I came in early and straightened & dusted my office. They probably won't even come in here, but just as soon as I decided not to clean up, they'd stop by to check me out.

I had planned to work on the car this evening, but there is some talk about dinner tonight with the new boss, so we'll see what happens.

Just stopping turbo style, I have been busy this morning between dropping the kids off, running to the bank, running to Goodwill checking to see what type of Christmas treasures I could find (nada), and making a pot of chili so I can have something different for dinner at work tonight, and possibly more when I get home tonight. In Cousin Eddie's words "It's Gooo-oood!"

Good afternoon, everyone! Wow, I can't believe it's Ash Wednesday already. For me, this is the first big milestone before Christmas. You know... Christmas is at the end of the year, so every other holiday celebrated means you're that much closer to Christmas! Before you know it, it will be Easter, then Memorial Day, then Fourth of July....see how fast the year goes?
