Good morning MMC,

It looks like the snow will be missing us, it looks like the area where RachRon lives is going to catch the brunt of it. It is 21*F with wind chills feeling like it is about 5F* and only to get colder. Just enjoying some Three Stooges right now, my wife is shopping so I can actually get to enjoy the show. Does anyone want to babysit my crazy boys? They are driving me bonkers today, they just pick, pick, pick at each other all day long. Not much planned on the day.

Good Morning MMC!!! It's going to be cold here today with a high in the mid 20's. Brr. What happened to those upper 40's and 50's that we were having last week. I'm going to be a bad boy and skip church today. Instead I'm going to take mom to the store and get her to walk around some. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

What are you guys up to today?

Har & I just saw my sister off. I still get a bit sad saying goodbye =] Even though we live pretty close! We had fun yesterday. We went out for lunch, did some window shopping, and came back to the house & took Harlowe for a nice long walk. Then I made some Wisconsin cheddar soup & a spinach salad for dinner. We watched a movie on Netflix & sat up late & talked. Love sister time!

But now I'm tired. So I think I'll lay down for a nap.

Adrian & I are grilling later, taking Har for a walk near the woods, and then plan to catch up on the DVR.

Well, it's because the body is shutting down,
and therefore cannot take it...
The kidneys are also shutting down so fluids could cos lots of problems
Because it would go else where in the body..
Like in the tissues, in the lungs..and so on.

We'll take them along on our long walk, tire them out, and bring them back home later

It is a clear, sunshiney, breezy day here in northern California. Not much planned for today except to continue organizing. I watched They Wore the Red Suit last night on my new DVD player. When I retired, I received some gift cards, so I redeemed those and bought a portable DVD player. I am impressed. That way, I can watch my Christmas DVDs and Hubby can watch his other shows! I laughed when I saw the remote control that came with it! I also started watching Becoming Santa. I will finish watching it later today. Thanks for the recommendations!

We love our portable DVD player! It's so nice to take a bubble bath, light some candles, and watch a movie while relaxing!! Also great for plane trips!

I had my morning coffee and then tried the K-Cup for Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orange Spice Tea, yes, tea! That tea reminds me of the 60s when we made our own mixture of Russion Tea using Tang. The K-cup version is so good! I am going to have some hot apple cider later. I have one K-cup of that left. Hopefully, my order for cider will arrive on Tuesday (since Monday is a holiday).

If I were still teaching, I would have next week off for February break in our 6-1 school calendar. Oh, well, now I am "off" all the time!!!

So sorry to hear this. Were you able to go to the site for Saint Rita, Saint of the Impossible recommended by Jennifer? Before I became Catholic, I had a friend who was Catholic and would share prayer requests with me. I treasure that time and her prayers. I was in a fundamentalist church at the time, but I still took her recommendations and prayers seriously. I don't think it matters what, if any, religion you are. Prayer changes things! We, as humans, want miracles of healing to take place. I am positive that they do take place. To me, the ultimate healing is being in the very presence of God! Of course, that demands that persons we love may have to leave this earthly home; but the end result is true healing and freedom from pain. Normally when I pray for complete healing of someone, I also request that God change my heart to one of acceptance of what that healing might actually be--maybe even absence of the body from this earthly home to the great homecoming in the sky.

I don't think we would regret it. We could all take turns, working with a partner. That way, parents with kiddos could have some down-time, and we volunteers could get a grandmother or auntie fix!!!

You are right about plane trips. It was on a plane trip where I saw my first one. The young man beside me could tell how petrified I was, and he shared Maid in New York with me. That took my mind off my extreme fear of flying. Now, I will have my own next time I fly!

Almost every major department store is open here on sundays. The only day they really close down anymore is Christmas and some of the stores are even open then.
