So sorry to hear this. Were you able to go to the site for Saint Rita, Saint of the Impossible recommended by Jennifer? Before I became Catholic, I had a friend who was Catholic and would share prayer requests with me. I treasure that time and her prayers. I was in a fundamentalist church at the time, but I still took her recommendations and prayers seriously. I don't think it matters what, if any, religion you are. Prayer changes things! We, as humans, want miracles of healing to take place. I am positive that they do take place. To me, the ultimate healing is being in the very presence of God! Of course, that demands that persons we love may have to leave this earthly home; but the end result is true healing and freedom from pain. Normally when I pray for complete healing of someone, I also request that God change my heart to one of acceptance of what that healing might actually be--maybe even absence of the body from this earthly home to the great homecoming in the sky.
